The "this damn squarebody burnout went on for so damn long, I had to show you some some other rides so you wouldn't go to sleep" breaks had me in stitches! Great vid as always.
You and your son have a great relationship, it's fun to watch. I love to hear him talk with his southern accent too. Big fan of the channel. Best of luck. Take Care!!!
Hi David....off point here but my hometown is New Bern, NC....one of the fastest growing towns on the east coast. Huntin', fishin'....rivers, creeks, ocean, and lots of beaches to enjoy. It was North Carolina's Colonial Capitol with the Tryon Palace being on the Trent river. Bern, Switzerland is it's sister city. Colonial Capitol Rods and Classics is one of the oldest current car clubs there. Me.....the wife wanted to move to sunny central Florida so thats where we've been for the last 10 years now. Still roddin' here with one of my favorite automobiles and (I think) THE best lookin' full size 4-door sedan ever mass produced in America. Everybody knows it's the 1995 Impala SS....Back in Black!! JD
Nice, Brad's One Stop for fireworks and Little River Canyon. That's where I live 6 miles from the Canyon. Y'all need to come up to our dirt track one Saturday night in Fort Payne
Hey. Love that you have brought your boy up well and for all the metalhead in him...The second he saw that waterfall he was mesmerised. Good work Dave and Brandon.
So many people don't realize how much time and money goes into some of these cars. Since I started some of my projects, I tip my hat to some of these builds. The craftsmanship is on point!
Burnout contest sitting still is boring, I had an 86 square body with a 406 small block and 700r4 that would smoke the rear tires for a quarter mile at any time , drove it daily , loved it , but someone made me an offer that couldn't refuse , i guess they loved it more than me , lol
Vw waz cool , the coolest one I ever saw in person was mounted on a mid 60s Corvette frame that had been heavily modified and car had extra wide fenders
Love Cotten's 2wd 2 door blazer always wanted one of those wish I bought one long ago when they were still cheap last one I saw factory 2wd clean ride was 20k in Florida private seller
That's the steel plate style burnouts I competed in in the late 90's, early 2000's at the car craft summer cruise. That plate can really get hot and pull lower powered cars down. Sometimes we competed head to head. Good times but the Aussie style burnouts are so much more entertaining.
I am with you on the value of Rain-X (worth it's weight in gold, since one bottle will last a lifetime). However, that is not the correct way to apply the stuff. (Clean your windows first, which you did.) Take a quality paper towel or disposable shop rag and fold it over and over into a little square maybe 2" x 2" or so. Spray the Rain-X on the square and wipe your windows with it in a circular motion, partially overlapping your passes as you go so you don't miss anything. If the towel gets dry, give it a spritz, but you don't need much. By the time you get to the end of the glass, it should be starting to haze up. After a little while, take a microfiber towel and buff off all of the haze once it is good and hazy, just like waxing a car (if it smears, you didn't wait long enough). After a day, you may notice a few hazy spots you missed, so buff those out too. If it is your first application on that vehicle, you can do a second coat, but the law of diminishing returns definitely applies for each successive coat. Spraying a lot directly on the glass just wastes it.
Hey David newbern I watch all your videos and I love watching faster with newbern and cotten. I just was curious if you knew where any 57 or 55 chevys are for sale. Keep up the videos.
Check the water temp sensor might be in limp mode does that if you can't read temp Gage will read still works but faulty signal sometimes coolant temp sensor can cause that lean idle it's usually sporadic throttle
I know the guy who built the S10 Doolay. The dually fenders are actually s10 Stepside fenders for the upper part. It’s also got a LS under the hood. They musta been away at the moment in his wife’s truck “Stinky Pinky” it was in between his truck and that other S10.
Will take you on a tour of the show trucks and be back the burnout and back and back again more show trucks. Will be right back after this commercial message from our sponsor RainX...
Watching those burnout competitions make me feel dumber than I really am. My favorite was the surging blower motor with the fake Big n Ugly being a turd was the best
I have been using Rainx for almost 20 years, Washer Fluid and Wipers. Folks think that I am full of mess until they ride with me, then they can't believe how well it works.
An eternity ago when I was much younger and before Rainex we'd buy a pouch of tobacco (they came in a little cotton bag), get it wet, rub it on the windshield and it worked just like Rainex...
I don't understand the fascination of spending a lot of time and money on a car just to do burnouts. I'm 62 years old. I started street racing when I was 16 with a 69 SS 396 Chevelle, and I've had some pretty fast cars over the years, but this seems really boring to me, but we all have different interests, so if that's what some people enjoy doing, that's all that matters.
Another great episode!!

😅😅😅... I couldn't help but laugh harder each time he popped up...

Candy and firecrackers, what else do you need?😂

Cotton is the man. I'd be lucky to have him as a friend. Keep up the great work.
I think you meant Newbern/
You guys are great together.
The Tahoe sound's like Christine when Arnie pulled into Darnel's Do It Yourself Garage
Your sons eyes are sucking in all the beauty a good father shares with him.

Pinstriping on a blower belt 🤣. Gotta love that.
Dude!!! Great video!!! I love watching you and Cotton together!!! Sounds like he's hydro locking a cylinder!!??
The gambler wheels on the Tahoe really took me back to the 90s. Cool video
I love the stepside at the end of the video 😍
So many people don't realize how much time and money goes into some of these cars. Since I started some of my projects, I tip my hat to some of these builds. The craftsmanship is on point!
Very true!!
I started using RainX around 1990 in Germany. I could drive the Autobahn in the rain with the wipers shut off, excellent stuff.
It works better than even using your wipers!
Love the cutaways from the Hondo truck 😂😂😂😂
Mike "Rod knock" Cotten 😂
I have swam in Little River Canyon many times! I'm from Rome GA. That was many years ago. What a trip down memory lane thanks!
What a rad kid
Legend says hondo is still there doing the same burnout.
Hi from Australia….Your burnouts are cute.
nice way of saying rubbish, which it was
I don't think they can drive
Lol, I was scrolling the comments looking for this. I hope it wasn't an actual competition?? How many DQ's for touching a wall aye.
🇳🇿
hi from america.....your lever action shotguns and straight pull neutered straight pull rifles are cute.
@@frigglebiscuit7484 We aren't scared of our fellow man...Your healthcare is cute too 🤣
The show looked like a great time. Definitely ready to see what you guys figure out what went wrong with Cotten's ride. #poorcotten😂
Had a set of those champ 500 on my 80 cutlass back in the day, memories.

😂😂😂 I love how you keep showing off Chevy trucks on the gmc burnout 😂😂
I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how Tony Angelo broke Mike Cotten's Tahoe.
Another great video 👍👍
Love the old champ 500 centerlines
Love the video.
Definitely gonna keep this event in mind

26:18 we need those engine in my school bus lol
Stop in for a charger cable aaaand.
Your kid is awesome.
All the smoke rolling out of that v w look like cheech and chong😂😂😂
My question when you're driving in the rain with a hood scoop and a blower, how does that work?
It doesn't take in enough water to hurt anything. If it got too bad I'd just flip the scoop around.
Love that Tahoe.

The 📽 man never dies!!!!!😆😆😆😆😝😆😆🤣🤣😂😂😭😭😭😭😭@0:03
Miles been rolled back on that Tahoe
It sounds like the Rocker arm is either broke or the push rod wore threw the rocker arm .

Damn Christine is jacked up
Sounds like maybe bad fuel / fuel pump or a restricted fuel line. RB22 😎
Man i get the patina look but you cant put a couole headlamp bulbs in?
I love little river canyon. I live 10 min from there
Car windshields are porous, you can put a new edge on a bondo spreader by rubbing the edge on it
Driving in the rain with a blower is the ultimate water injection system, lol
Watching those burnout competitions make me feel dumber than I really am. My favorite was the surging blower motor with the fake Big n Ugly being a turd was the best

That is my buddy David Culpepper’s doolay s10.
2door Tahoe is wicked
5:20
Anybody knows which wheels and tires are these on the Tahoe?
Are y'all not afraid of the engine getting wet?
what about all the water going into the scoop? seems like this is bad for the carbs
Turn your scoop around backwards for driving in the rain...
To all the Australians watching...I'm sorry thats the best we can do for a "Burnout" competition...
Their cars only 900 pounds ….what do you want?
13:20 Awesome truck but that was kinda embarrassing!
I tried rainex silicone wipers, now they are on all my vehicles.
You saw the baddest burb on the planet.
Josh Rowan
Sounds like an LS DOD dead on demand. I have people down there in Paducah and Metropolis right across the river.
next time try (nu finish car polish) for your window that also works
The blown mafia truck actually gets driven on the regular
Great video , the burn outs were EPIC
Cotton better start thinking about an LS swap!
An eternity ago when I was much younger and before Rainex we'd buy a pouch of tobacco (they came in a little cotton bag), get it wet, rub it on the windshield and it worked just like Rainex...
Swimming and fishing,thats whats up
Where can I get me a shirt like Cotten’s?
Sounds like converters are clogged up
Brother you need to start working on a ramp truck
9:56 B i l o x i ?🎉❤ 17:07 That’s Why We Watch TheBurnBox❤
Cotten forgot to put oil in it after the last change. Happens to all of us.
Sounds like it is full of diesel/gas mixture.
Moooooore!!!
i am beyond broke and even my trailer has a winch!!
It's a dump truck, you can take it to the dump 😂
Hey there! Are you interested in vehicle lighting stuff sponsor?
Blown Mafia contact them if you need new rotors for your blower they’ve got piles of them in the back room
Uncle Rodney come a knockin?
It's just crossfire inside the vortec dist.cap....common.
It's really hard to beat the looks of champ 500 rims in my opinion
Ya got enough blowers there buddy?
I don't understand the fascination of spending a lot of time and money on a car just to do burnouts.
