Yeah reality is often very harsh and uncalled for victimization to the innocent around them. The wrong in this video is terrible parenting yielding destruction and further harm to those actually in terrible situations. Your situation is what happens sadly in the real world. Every single dealer I ran into in high school when I found out, I fixed their situation for them, and they're in stable legal careers, able to be home with their families, no paranoia or stress ulcers. There is a disconnect though when people try to "help," a need to be paternalistic and condescending, then they fear being gouged for money. All seven times the biggest argument I got in was convincing them paying off their supplier is the same as getting the actually wholly illegal government targeting done on them, that it's actually an infinite easier solution to fix. My father always raised me to value my friends more than money, so I've always done that, but it shouldn't even be that for someone to understand a grown man able to illegally make however much money aside from the other issues, is facing a deeper issue. I grew up in the UK, and each individual is still in prison. Multi-count indictments of corruption and collusion and I'm no lawyer or advocate, this was already the fault of the government for letting this go on.
