Good example as correlation coefficient indicates both direction and strength. Just to add one more important aspect of correlation is that it does NOT indicate casuality. Nice job Eddie!

I've gone through quite a lot of Maths and Science, but neither as a student nor as a teacher was I ever exposed to Statistical Analysis beyond calculating a standard deviation. Following this series of videos resulted is something quite unexpected for me: discovering the functions I had never used that are on a few of the calculators I still possess, including a Sharp EL-506SLR of the 1980's! This solar-powered, 10-digit single-display, 7x13 cm pocket calculator was the ultimate in its time and, after finding a manual for a similar model on Sharp's site, I was amazed to see it can do all the calculations (so far) for this exam! So following your walk-through here (ever enter x,y data points on a single-line display?) and the manual, the EL-506SLR got 13 (a) and (b) right! Oh, and by the way, this little powerhouse not only does stats, but also calculations with binary, octadecimal, hexadecimal, complex numbers and 3-VLE!)
The EL-506SLR and I can hardly wait for the next SA Exam Review!

Hello Sir I am slow learner student I know the question I am asking to you might sound little silly to you but Can you give answer to the following question Statistical correlation is measured by coefficient of regression true or false. Please do reply Thanking you in anticipation

The very mixed feelings of an old fart watching a video that doesn't teach math but teaches the young how to punch buttons on a machine that does the math: Wey-yull, yeah, I suppose the kids have to learn to run the machinery... And yeah, I guess with little computers of great power in everybody's hands we're going to have more and better arithmetic built into our lives at every point.
Against that. there's the olde geezers' whine: "But the little bastards aren't learning any math." Fortunately, that's false. Apart from doing a lot of the stupid adding-up-the-little-digits stuff, suddenly the hand computers are generating whole populations of youngsters who know what a correlation is, and what mathematical functions in general do.
Hey, maybe the little buggers are going to come out OK after all!
