The title is wrong, pekora did not try to make flare overbid. The max bid was 100 and flare already hit the max, so pekora also bid max so that flare can, give her reason/shout her love for ina, to get the product.

It's much easier to convert it to something more familiar with foreign viewers rather than put it down as "one million pekoyen." I doubt the scale of how much that is can be as clearly grasped, hence I chose to convert it in my translation

I simply just find it jarring when people on screen are speaking in Japanese and about money, then the subtitles use USD or dollars, making it seem like they were talking about actual dollars when they're not, the yen amount is just converted by the subtitles.
