I just found the flaw in my jumpshot yesterday. My major problem was power transfer aka fluidity. I have a very good form but shooting even from inside the free throw line felt oddly strenuous, I feel like my arm is doing all the work. After trying several things like tilting a lot like Steph Curry, shooting with palm like Damian Lillard, none worked. I have a smooth one motion shot. I figured yesterday that all I needed to do was dip the ball to about above my knee level and just shoot with normal form. Suddenly I became a super sniper, I shot two CONSECUTIVE almost half court shot, shot CONSECUTIVE free throws and 3 points shots. Shooting the ball now feels effortless. If shooting the ball doesn't feel effortless, then something is wrong somewhere in your form, figuring it out is the main thing to fix your form. It took me two days of training alone (one day per week) to figure it out. This is because I never have time to train only to play. Go alone to the court, try different things till you figure it out. Best of luck.
Completely agree with everything said in this video, dominion was so disappointing and my biggest issue with it was it didn’t feel like a Jurassic movie I hope with this new one we get darker toned lost world Kinda stuff like you were saying.
Yesterday I literally mastered it completely and the only thing I understood was to jump only with my feet and concentrate on straightening my legs completely. Only in this variation, my throwing technique did not change and I was able to easily throw it to the ring while hovering in the air
Bro this man was not lying I play as a defender in basketball and I want to improve my shooting and I did what he said and I made 5 shots which is a record for me
I find it can be tricky to find the flaw. You wouldnt always think that to shoot further you need to rotate slightly to allow room for your shoulder most people would think "oh i need to jump harder or push with my arm more" it gets tricky to find if you aren't out there practicing out there everyday with creativity
Depends which is causing the flaw. If the ball isn't going in a spinning motion or j t the direct direction then your hands too close to your other hand if your not shooting high enough or it feel strenuous when you shoot your feet are squared up (so tilt them). If the flow isn't right then you need the ball to move with your body. If arc is a problem use one hand to shoot directly under the basket make a certain amount then move to the free throw line and make a certain amount helps with accuracy, consistency and improves arc/form. Also I don't know if everyone does it but find out the best finger too roll off is it's usually index, middle or split
I almost have my shot figured out but i need more consistency lately ive caught myself draining 30 foot jumpshots but then i also struggle to hit simple free throws
My problem has been palming the ball too wide on the way up resulting in the wrong fingers guiding the ball. Just starting to figure out that I shouldn't grip the ball so hard and just lightly follow through on the shot.
my problem with shooting was that when i shot the ball i would shoot with 2 hands. i tried to force myself but then tried to shoot with a soft ball on a kiddy hoop so that now i can shoot properly
Dawg i had the best jumpshot in the world it felt effortless i made 13 threes in a 30 min pick up game and now its gone and im trying to find it again it feels wrong now.
The problem for me is my thumb flick and when I shoot my thumb puts to much power to the ball and always hits the back rim and I don’t know how to fix it
Wassup man so I just figured out i have the ability to write with both hands, so I’ve been shooting a basketball left handed my whole basketball career, and now im starting to switch to a right hand… do any of y’all got any tips
I have a big problem when I’m shooting, when I shoot my head goes all the way up for some reason and makes my jumper look ugly and it turned into a habit since I was younger, is there anyways you can help that?
I’m just inconsistent ya know? I’ll shoot proper form tons of shots then when I play pick up games I’ll start messing up. I think under pressure I ain’t so good lol. But I’ll get better
I suck at basketball but everytime I pull up for a jumper it always goes in, that’s the only shot I can make 😭 my mid range jumper is lethal i never miss 😭
So ive recently started to fix my left hand position while i shoot ( i was releasing it way too soon and i lacked stability) but know ive fixed that and i dont miss as many shots as then
my coach always tells me i pull it from too low i start from the hips and he says i shouldnt but when i start at my chest i cannt get any arc and i miss everything while i do make a lot of shots when i shoot it normally but then when i also take a look at some videos they say its ok as long as the ball is up before your body is
How do I improve my jump shot because when i shoot my shoulder feels like it's hurting a but like it's tired and should my elbows be close to each other or far away from each other
the thing with my jumpshot is when i play at my home my net is 8ft and when i play on my school net which is 12ft (everyday for 2 hours) I usally get a wayyy worse form that when i play on 8ft can u tell me how to fix it?
Gotta give a like for the opening bucket 😅

no

😂😂😂
its a short to a actual vid
“Buckets? AUahAhuhHaH!”
that one tip, helped me increase my shooting percentage from not only the freethrow line but also every where else on the court!
Tilting my feet helped me make my first free throw of my season💪🏻🎉
Nice!!!
Great advice with explaining the shoulder lock.
Completely agree with everything said in this video, dominion was so disappointing and my biggest issue with it was it didn’t feel like a Jurassic movie I hope with this new one we get darker toned lost world Kinda stuff like you were saying.
"Buckets? Ahhhhh" had me rolling on the floor 💀💀
He did joakim like that
“ buckets aww “ 😂
Buckets
“AhAhAhAhA
I shoot with too much arc, resulting in airballs. And that's why my coach told me to focus on shooting it forward to increase my range.
Yesterday I literally mastered it completely and the only thing I understood was to jump only with my feet and concentrate on straightening my legs completely. Only in this variation, my throwing technique did not change and I was able to easily throw it to the ring while hovering in the air
W
Now that I think about it, this is what I need to change in my jumpshot, thank you so much!
"ThAT Ahhhhhhhh 💀🤣🤣 .... Killed me 💀💀💀💀
lol yeah me too I didn’t expect it 😂
Those tips helped out
the three shooting tips were fire ng
Putting in good work
Thanks😊
Thanks for the tip❤
Mine was the foot I was squared up on the three point line and also it made my jump shot crooked as hell so that fix helped a lot thank you
I’m excellent at lobbing three pointers, but I ain’t good at layups, but yesterday, I found out I wasn’t hitting the right spot on the backboard.
Bro this man was not lying I play as a defender in basketball and I want to improve my shooting and I did what he said and I made 5 shots which is a record for me
you can't play as a defender in basketball...
He means that he's primarily a good defender but he can't shoot when his team has possession
@@RIP_ZYZZ1738 Exactly
@@Dunny346 What I meant to say was a power Forward
You are a great shooter thank you for this video
He is 100% right ! every time I miss. I find my flaw and the next one goes in
The first one acctually helped me I found my flaw and I make more shots then before

2 that make you shoot farther:
1. Tilting yourfeet
2. Dip the ball lower
That 3rd trick got me flabbergasted
Thanks bro, I just tried this today for about two hours and I could see the difference
Shooting free-throws squared up is absolutely fine. That's how Kyrie shoots and w 90% accuracy.
his shoulders are tilted which is more important
Faxs
🔥🔥💯
when i shoot free throws i square myself up to the basket and make it, most of the time my issue was my elbow.
This helped alot
Buckets?? aAaAAa!!
My question is how do you know which one is the most problem in your jumpshot?
Depends which is causing the flaw. If the ball isn't going in a spinning motion or j t the direct direction then your hands too close to your other hand if your not shooting high enough or it feel strenuous when you shoot your feet are squared up (so tilt them). I like you guy
Canon is fire 🔥
yes really worked
Thanks bro, the school stood no chance🔥
I finally found my flaw it's because I can't get the energy transfer and motion right
I had a too big of a tilt and when i squared it up a bit more my shooting percentage increased for 40%!!!!
Are there tips where I can stop my thumb to give a little force on the ball? And where I can increase the strength of my wrist flick
Just learned this today from my trainer actually. Funny coincidence
I almost have my shot figured out but i need more consistency lately ive caught myself draining 30 foot jumpshots but then i also struggle to hit simple free throws
Still waiting for parts 2 and 3
Cool

I'm the best 3 point shooter but I'm searching for something like this to get better and better
A 12 year old named Grayson Caldwell will be a nba play watch

I move my shooting arm a lot 😅
The problem for me is my thumb flick and when I shoot my thumb puts to much power to the ball and always hits the back rim and I don’t know how to fix it
Thanks I went from a 68% to 82% on ft
Really?!
Nice job bro
my form and arc are pretty good but i overshoot it all the time i need help with that please
For me, I think it's my height of the jump. I catch myself barely jumping, instinctively like a set shot.
But how much power in ur arms and wrist
Wassup man so I just figured out i have the ability to write with both hands, so I’ve been shooting a basketball left handed my whole basketball career, and now im starting to switch to a right hand… do any of y’all got any tips

Bro said buckets ahhhhhhh lol
When I shoot the Ball it curves to the side and is really annoying
My flaw is my shot comes from my chest and not from my shoulder i still make it but it looks bad when I’m shooting from the chest
I suck at basketball but everytime I pull up for a jumper it always goes in, that’s the only shot I can make 😭 my mid range jumper is lethal i never miss 😭

Coach I’m still airballin😢
How do I get rid of a thumb flick?
Keep your pointer finger and thumb off the ball and just have your other three fingers on it instead and then eventually you’ll stop doing it😃
@@iggy3346 thanks bro definitely will try it
Search “Thumb Push” on my channel! You can also pinch a quarter (or any other coin) between your guide hand thumb and your guid hand pointer finger 🔥
@@ShotMechanics thanks man
I'd suggest form shooting (if you don't know what it is just look it up, a lot of people do it)
Im not strong enough to hit a 3... ong its sad having to do the weird chest pass shot
My flaw is that the ball comes short what should i do?
