I miss those old-style shoe stores; I remember going to them with my mother when I was a boy.
I know what you mean!
I remember the X-ray machines (fluoroscope) we put our feet into to get a proper fit. At the time, we were unaware of the risks from radiation.
Him all nervous with the buxom woman and sliding down the shoe stool priceless
"Lady, I can't wait on you, I'm a married man" 🤣🤣🤣
😂Omg!!I'm with you!!I laughed so hard!!!😂😂😂
I've said it several times now on these videos on this station, but THANK YOU for posting these. What a TREAT and it's much appreciated.
💯 THANK YOU for posting these videos!!! 👏💝
🤣 omg i just laughed so hard i can't breathe, and I've seen this episode a million times. I absolutely love this show!! Especially, 'buddy' & 'rob'.
This one was FANTASTIC - can't say as I remember seeing it before. Real treat!
😂😂😂😂😂ONG LOVED THIS EPISODE!
I thought I'd seen all the episodes, but found this one, so a great "bonus".
These shows are wonderful!
I love shopping for shoes, now that so many shoe stores are self-serve, with the inventory on display. No disapproving sales staff, no high pressure sales techniques. My favourite store was Payless Shoes. They had a great selection, good prices, and good promotions. Sadly, they have all closed down now.
Being an old shoe dog, I can confirm the exclusive use of a broom.
I absolutely hate shopping for shoes. So glad that nowadays you can just try them on yourself. Shoe salespeople always made me feel like I should be ashamed of my feet somehow. I always felt like they were being judgmental. Like when you go to the doctor for a check-up and even if you're in good health, you feel like they are just trying to find something wrong with you so they can tell you you're doing something wrong.
Funny that's a good point..... all of everything that we miss had trade-offs..... I was just remembering the old Mom and Pop shoe stores fondly, but forgot that the people waiting on you always seemed really annoyed. I probably would be too if I had to be smelling stinky feet all day LOL
Hilarious! One of the best episodes!!!
Lou Jacobi went on to wonderful cameo in one of the best film comedies ever “ARTHUR”.
I am so glad that they put dick van dyke back on the tube , I love this show and I wish that they also would put , I love Lucy back on as well
I Love Lucy has never been OFF the air🤷🏼♂️🤓😎✌🏻
You have to pay to stream I love Lucy 😔
Love these shows..
That metal foot-measuring thingy is called a Brannock Device.
That is too cool that you know the name of that thing! 😄
@@CamilleGG451 I've always had a problem with shoe size and fit, so I thought the device might be helpful. I finally found it online, but the device is quite pricey.
I miss those shoe stores - they got the fit right.
Show business/Shoe business. What's the difference?
As Ed Sullivan used to say, "We have a really big shoe tonight."
oscar madison's mother was 2nd customer.
I remember having a shoe salesman measure my foot and bring me my size.
I wonder if this episode of The Dick Van Dyke show is where they got the whole idea for Al Bundy and his proffession 🤔 in Married with Children?
Maybe even subconsciously.
Rob had terrible taste in the gifts he gave Laura. The shoes, the Empress Carlotta necklace, the fur coat. All far off the mark.
Dick Van Bundy! LOL
When Rob goes to pieces over the sexy customer - then getting on the stool wrong sliding down right into her legs! "I can't wait on you I'm a married man."

That was a shoe store in New York City, not a delicatessen in New York City. No one would expect rude treatment when buying shoes, that they might, when ordering a corned beef on rye. Salesman Sid was a neurotic nut case.
Still waiting for the funny part(s). The tall woman wasn't even attractive, and "Rob's" wife is far prettier.
LaRue Farlow appeared in Bachelor Father and Have Gun Will Travel and The Untouchables and Perry Mason and The Joey Bishop Show and Hawaiian Eye and The Rebel and The Twilight Zone and Peter Gunn and The Donna Reed Show and Surfside 6 and The Beverly Hillbillies and Bat Masterson and The Fugitive and at least two dozen more programs between 1958 and 1965 plus ten or more movies I think that the widow of Leonard Katzman was a fine actress and extremely attractive By the way she also had bits in Route 66 and Bourbon Street Beat and The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet and Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Thin Man and Bonanza and Burke's Law and Rawhide and impressed many people through her talent and beauty
It's not for everyone. I found the entire episode to be clever, very funny and well played, by all. The tall woman was attractive. Very sexy, as were "Sally" and "Laura". Apples, oranges and peaches.
Write your own comedy if nothing meets your "standards"
I got the hots for Millie!🤣🤣
Well if you want funny, go to the nearest mirror, now that’s funny.
If you are short of time, go straight to @17:16 min. You'll not regret it!
