I love see you & others using what you got around the shop. To make the metal form, the way you need it to. Having all the nice tools you have. But still having to use creativity using something laying around the shop. COOL
Sleeper is coming together nicely, awesome job there. So pleased you are going with the sleeper as I think it will make the truck all that it wants to be.
That was some good work my friends myself no window is my vote but its not my truck do your thing yall have been doing just great Im glad to see work on her so keep it flowing guys
I'm new to the channel, and I just wanted to say you got to build your dream man you got to build what's in your head. Don't let people influence you. What I've seen is freaking amazing like I want to see what you see. Show me what you're thinking man! I'll be going through the archive while waiting on the next upload!
Looking good! If you want a little light in but still the privacy, how about something up top that no one would see? What brand or where did you buy your corners? That way I know to stay away from them! lol.
Just my 2 cents. 70 van style tear drop or bubble window for sides. And only make it as wide as your dually is maybe 1/2 inch less shaved off drive and passenger. I'd also throw the van wing on it as well mimicking the semi roof top wing but proper sizing.
Thank you for your additional effort on the sleeper. My opinion does not count for much, l believe it is going to give the rig a unique pleasing profile.
Take it from a career truck driver of over 30 years, you don't want a window in your sleeper, the headlights and parking lot lights are a pain in the a$$ when your trying to rest, I just don't know why you didn't use the C50 rear window if you're determined to have one on the back wall, your gonna need the wide opening behind the seats to crawl in and out anyway, too bad you didn't go with the walk-in like the original concept picture but nice work on the side panels but you really need to build a pipe anvil, more accurate than clamping pipes on the bench 😉
It's possibly I will have passengers in the back more then I sleep back there. As for using the rear window out of the C50 it would just be more work and I'm being lazy. LOL Not sure what you mean by walk in like the concept. If you mean stand up in the concept is not tall enough to do that. If you mean have the back of the cab cut out to get into the sleeper that is my plan. As for a pipe anvil you are 100% right
Looking good. Find a old window from a 70's shaggin' wagon.. [Chevy Van].. they came in different configurations to choose from. Might work for a window... Looks great 👍
Cool trick with the grinder and flushing it up with tack welds. Guess with experience comes age or wait sorry with age comes experience. One of those has to be right maybe?
I read on the tear drop camper sites that you should vent your small camper because you can breathe up all the oxygen in a small closed up space. Might apply on this sleeper as well.
Love your vision for this C50 truck. By the way when you cut top cab lights off. Do you still have that top cab section. My 71 K10 has some of the cab light nuts rusted away. All I would need is each raised area a few inches wider. All 5 areas. Just let me know.
I have a 2015 t680 kenworth with a 168" sleeper... I have big windows, but in smaller sleepers you want small windows. They useto make diamond shape windows for custom vans that would be cool old school looking.
You could cut the window glass you were thinking about using straight across the bottom ... Then it would appear as a rolldown window with rounded corners at the top... While being flat at the bottom to match the body line below it.
What if you raised or stretched that part of the cab? Then that window would fit. Your rendering shows that the sleeper would be taller anyways. It wouldn’t affect the body lines because you’re stretching above that point….
@ I can understand that, just thought it would be a solution to the window fitment. I think the sleeper being higher than the cab would not only look good but be easier to seal to the cab rather than the sleeper being flush with the top of the cab… but then again I’ve been known to be wrong many times! Just ask my wife! lol
Everytime I see the thumbnail for this build I think it is an RC car build... (Thats my hobby) I am seriously considering making an 1/10 scale replica of your truck!! :D
I have a couple of ?? about the sleeper. 1. Is it going to be taller? 2. Will it have a walk-through from the cab? You did say it is going to be wider. I'm glad you got rid of drip rails that looks cleaner. I like it with no side windows, but maybe put the big back window back in the back. Just to give it the stock look.
Originally I was going to make it taller but I want to see what it looks like on the truck now and go from there. I do plan on cutting out the back of the cab for a pass through.
@@HardCoreFab I am not sure a person could or could not be trapped in the sleeper in case of fire. The escape window will provide a second emergency egress.
Dang dude. I need to be near all of this genius that you share with us. Any houses or apartments available on your property? 😁😁 I see my orange C/10. 😅😅
you would still need a peace for the rocker and then to redo where the handle is and you waste a door and good ones without rust are getting hard to find and $
I’m liking it . Can not wait to see it done .
The single person sleeper cab on that truck done like a semi is a badass idea and unique!
I am partial to no windows with the center access. Just my humble opinion.
Thank you! Unique is the goal of everything I do!
I love see you & others using what you got around the shop. To make the metal form, the way you need it to. Having all the nice tools you have. But still having to use creativity using something laying around the shop. COOL
Glad you enjoy it!

100% going on the truck!
Soo glad you are going through with the sleeper build, it is looking awesome!
Dude it is so much work LOL but yeah it's going to be cool

That's the goal of everything we do
Looking great 👍👍
Thanks Shane!
Waiting to see it finished, Going to look great !
I'd like it to be finished so I don't have to work on it anymore. LOL
It's coming together awesome but definitely add some side windows to the sleeper. Great job
I think this is turning up pretty awesome this is going to really nice in the truck
Thank you!
Really enjoy watching yall’s work!
Thanks for the videos!!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Love the creativity and it looks better without the window in my opinion but it ain't my truck lol
That's good cause it probably won't get any. LOL
you can do some small camper windows you can open them for air and they would have a screen for the bugs

Looking way cool. L9ve this
So cool!! No side windows
Cool stuff can't wait
Coming together like a puzzle brother looking awesome !!! Waiting patiently for the next video lol 😂
Thanks for being patient we'll get there at some point.
@HardCoreFab no worries brother a masterpiece isn't built in record time it's built in quality time !!!! I always enjoy seeing yall work brother
Looking good! If you want a little light in but still the privacy, how about something up top that no one would see? What brand or where did you buy your corners? That way I know to stay away from them! lol.

Hello hope all is well I love the picture of the sleeper design
It looks like it needs to be wider can anyone fit in there besides Conner
Definitely will be widening it. That's coming.
Fun-beliveably Awesome!

@ronthompson2366 those are cool, but they're kinda pricey
@HardCoreFab It's been many years since I last priced them... 70's... I guess everything is expensive anymore. Well you will think of something.
Think about ventilation now , those sleepers get stuffy quick. Great build
Awesome video
Cool trick with the grinder and flushing it up with tack welds. Guess with experience comes age or wait sorry with age comes experience. One of those has to be right maybe?
@jeffs4690 I'm old enough I don't remember what you said past age. LOL
@@HardCoreFabdo u have any left over patches for the cab I have a c10 it’s so rusty I’m try to save it but all the roof was gone inner and outer
Looks good
Man this looks like a lot of work but man its goin to look killer!!
Yeah it never sounds like that big of a deal in my head LOL
@ Right on 👍
I read on the tear drop camper sites that you should vent your small camper because you can breathe up all the oxygen in a small closed up space. Might apply on this sleeper as well.
HMM I've never heard of that before and I have slept in a sleeper over nigh and it has never been a problem
Where'd you get the cab corners from?
We ordered them from Jegs

the sleeper must be done looking good
Sweet man!
Thanks!

Don't need a back window that's what west coast mirrors and a headache rack is for
@ericfallis6202 Yeah, you could never see out the back when it was a dump truck
What if you raised or stretched that part of the cab? Then that window would fit. Your rendering shows that the sleeper would be taller anyways. It wouldn’t affect the body lines because you’re stretching above that point….
A stretched top was the Idea at the start but now I would like to see what it looks like on the truck first and then go from there
@ I can understand that, just thought it would be a solution to the window fitment. I think the sleeper being higher than the cab would not only look good but be easier to seal to the cab rather than the sleeper being flush with the top of the cab… but then again I’ve been known to be wrong many times! AWESOME 👍 HOPE THE FAM IS DOING WELL 💯
Thanks so far so good!
Everytime I see the thumbnail for this build I think it is an RC car build... (Thats my hobby) I am seriously considering making an 1/10 scale replica of your truck!! :D
That would be so awesome! I'd love to have one! Make two! LOL
Awesome
you might look for aftermarket sunroofs, a pair of those assuming you can find matches might work for the side windows.
I’m praying that you and your wife are doing good ….. God’s blessings for your family …… take care 🙏🏻🤓
Thank you, and we're doing as good as can be expected!
Man you make them door inserts look easy

i think the c 50 is going to look killer with a sleeper on it
Thanks!
Does anybody make patches here in the USA? Or in a friendly country?
I'm not sure
I’d really love to either see some crescent moon or bubble windows real 70s van like
Pretty cool guy's...👍😎💯🇺🇲
👋 julie,,,,,,,
Put some old diamond windows in it like the old vans used to have. Or maybe some oval shaped windows from a boat.
maybe an small airplane look a like window on the side looks cool 👌😎
I vote no side window looks the goods just steel
Fricken baaaadddaaaasss!
You may want to consider an RV style escape window for the back window.
Why is that?
@@HardCoreFab I am not sure a person could or could not be trapped in the sleeper in case of fire. The escape window will provide a second emergency egress.
I need to make it the sleeper wider ever try sleep in one them truck cabs
Definitely will be widening it. That's for a future video.
You might want to make a Gene Whitfield break. It has three different tubes which make it great for bending curves.
Yes I need a pipe anvil. Now that we are in the new shop we have room for one and it is on the list of things to come.
Where did you order them from? Do you have a link? I have a project they would work great for ❤
Jegs was the cheapest place I found them
You should add one of those old school custom van windows on the sides of that. Just an idea
Bubble port hole windows - 70’s van style
I'm close tonight, in garden city
I use to live in Garden city but i don't think the same state 😂
@charliemclaughlin1042 Kansas
Oh yeah!
KS?
@HardCoreFab yes I maybe coming your way tomorrow
Put two chrome exhaust pipes on the side
Looking to build something similar. Need long hood for 1969 Chev. Bruin 900.
Why wouldn't use doors? Seems like a lot of work.
I thought about it, but the more you look at what all would have to be modified, the more work it actually would be.
👍😊😁
Dang dude. I need to be near all of this genius that you share with us. Any houses or apartments available on your property? 😁😁 I see my orange C/10. 😅😅
@@MillCreekFabShop We've got an old grain elevator. Lol

Less fab work

totally get not wanting a door..... But if you cut a door down and welded it in while retaining the roll up window feature that would be so sick!!!!!
nice :>)
Hi .if it is a sleeper you don't need side windows .😊
No windows on side
You could put windows out of a boat
I’d keep the windows to a minimum if you think you might ever actually sleep in it. Just my opinion.
I hear you IDK if I would sleep in it more or have someone ride back there more
You need to wear a mic the echo in that place is bad
cut & butt
Looking away is NOT proper eye protection.
