You gotta get some glass minnow from rapala , xraps xr10, and my favorite rat-L trap silver and black (caught redfish , micro tarpon and snook on this lure)

@@lancegallegos1581 I’ll admit I was a little too excited on this trip so I was working them fast! The thing is I thought the tarpon would only be around for a few minutes so I was trying too fast 😅 I appreciate the advice though and the comment!! Tight lines! 🎣😁
@@JfishyYT believe me I know that feeling! A quick retrieve can also get those tarpons wanting to eat, so you weren’t really doing anything incorrectly, imo. I live in the Sarasota/Bradenton area of Florida and have noticed that I’ll tend to get the tarpon bites on a real steady retrieve on the paddle tail. Not twitching or jerking the bait, but just a steady straight retrieve. Also lure color seems to play a bigger role with them tarpons… I’ve had the most luck with the darker colors baits as well (mainly the “purple demon” color from Zman). Tight Lines! Your content is great 👍🏻 keep it up!
