I heard that they’re supposed to be some kind of fishing ban in 2025. Could you please check into that and see if this is false news or true? They’re trying to ban Fishing bottom fishing in Florida Georgia, South Carolina and maybe even North Carolina I just wanna know if that’s true because that would not be cool Because they’re saying that it hurts the red snapper population.
They are not going to do that for now at least but that is only for red snapper so no more use long those type of rigs if they test the population of red snapper and decide it needs the regulation or not I found a statement on it “The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) argued that closing the entire bottom of the South Atlantic would be unnecessary and premature. The CCA urged the SAFMC to wait for the results of an independent red snapper assessment before making a decision”
