Ingredient lbs Kitchen %
Kaolin Clay 0.3030 1 ¾ Cup 30%
Cocoa Butter Wafers 0.2020 ¾ Cup 20%
Macadamia Nut Oil 0.1515 1/3 Cup 15%
Goat Milk Powder 0.0909 1/3 Cup 10%
Organic Shea Butter 0.1010 ¼ Cup 10%
Oatmeal 0.1515 ¾ Cup 15%
Directions
1. In a glass or non-metal bowl, add kaolin clay, goat milk powder, and oatmeal. Mix together using a wooden or non-metal utensil. Set aside and move to the next step.
2. Add the cocoa butter wafers and macadamia nut oil to your beaker or pot. Heat until fully melted then remove from heat and add shea butter. The residual heat should melt the shea butter, but if it isn’t melting, gently heat until fully melted.
3. Pour melted butters and oils onto the dry mixture in your glass or non-metal bowl. Mix slowly and gently with a non-metal utensil until uniform and smooth.
4. Pour into your silicone molds and refrigerate until fully solid. This took about 1 hour for our bars.
5. Use in the bath or shower in place of soap bars!

So happy I found this , been doing a lot of research about soap without lye but many seem to believe you can only cleanse your skin with soap which consist of lye. Then I came across cleansing bars which is heavily used in other countries such as Africa and the Middle East. In the process of launching a cosmetic line and looking forward to adding a cleansing bar to the list! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I tweaked the recipe and included rosehip powder and an emulsifier, vitamin e and a preservative. I use this bar as a cleanser every morning. It's gorgeous but a bit messy to apply.
Hi.. Thank you for this I shall try it tommorow
I loved thanks very much for shaving.
tvm tjos was am excellent video and you made it look so easy. tyvm again
Nice recepi 🥀
Interesting!!!
This is so great! All natural! Are you able to add any natural colorant to it? Thank you!
Nice recipe
Glad you liked it :)
Thank you for this post, it is most useful. Does the bar melt in hot shower or under hot water?
I’m totally making these and have everything in my stash to do so thank you 😚. I must ask do you have a link for the bird silicone moulds? I absolutely LOVE them! I’m a tad bird obsessed 🤪. Thanks
Hi there, we certainly do have a link for you, you can get the moulds here: amzn.to/2tETtA4
Essential Wholesale & Labs Thank you very much😘.
You could show us how you saniteze, tks
Can you replace the Clay with other clays like red Clay or bentonite?
Hi, I’m interested in making this soap. What is the purpose of oatmeal in the mixture?
Can you leave this on as a face mask?
Omg this is so beautiful, I was wondering if I could add a mild surfactant powder form or noodles, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Yes, I think the Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate would be brilliant in this and it can be solubilized in the melted oil and butter. (www.essentialwholesale.com/product/2767/sodium-cocoyl-isethionate-powder)
@@EssentialLabsOfficial how much is the precentage for this SCI ?
Will it lather??
Can I substitute the coco butter with more Shea butter and beeswax or add in stearic acid to make it a bit harder?
Yes, you could remove the cocoa altogether and add more butter, and give the wax or fatty alcohol a shot. The best part of product making, is the experimentation. So have fun!
How much Bromelain do you use? It is not in the recipe
But do they lather?
does it lather? and what ph does it have?
can i substitute kailin clay? i dont have that but i have bentonite clay. will this work?
Sure. Kaolin is much finer than bentonite, so your cleansing bar might feel a little grittier, but I see no reason that wouldn’t work.
Nice one. Will this lather?
no it does not lather at all, but it really cleans amazingly well.
@@EssentialLabsOfficial thank you
If wanted lather or bubbles without adding surfactant (natural or not), what would I use? Thanks
You have to have a surfactant for bubbles. Even lotions contain a small portion of surfactant of some kind in the emulsifier. Surfactants or soap for bubbles.
It's been awhile since you commented but you can look into plant powder that are high in saponins.
@valeriehouston4539 what kind of plant matters do you suggest that are high in saponins?
@@DanaYoung-nh3dxmaybe soap nuts but there are lots. Just look up plants that are high in saponins on Google
I would like to know how to use them? And when to use them while taking a shower? If you could just explain to me, if you don’t mind. Because my mother in law was just asking me if it was possible to creat for her a cleansing bar that is made from butters and oils.
Hi there, great question! You would use this as you would a bar of soap in the shower or bath. Simply apply to wet skin, to cleanse. The Kaolin Clay is what acts as the cleanser. All other ingredients work to nourish and replenish the skin.
Thank you
Can I use it on my face?
Yes you can.
Can you use this as a shampoo?
That’s actually exactly how I used this bar, so I would say yes (-:
@@EssentialLabsOfficial Oh great! How does the bar hold up, does it crumble or become sticky or does it stay intact until it is used up? I'm assuming you need to keep it dry between uses. What hairtypes will it work for? Mine is very fine, curly and a bit dry and frizzy. :D
Wouldn't you need a preservative for these as they are going to be in contact with water? Seems strange that there's none.
Hi there! You can certainly add a preservative. However, after 6 weeks of being in a shower environment there are no signs of bacteria, yeast, or mold activity.
@@EssentialLabsOfficial no NaOH...Then how saponification would happen...?
@@darmarbera it is not meant to be a soap so no saponification is needed. This is a non foaming cleansing bar
mold orbacteria aree not visiblef it is not a cold press soapt it need preservative.
Anyone say the substitution for oatmeal. Since I am from india, its costly...anyone???
you can do it without oatmeal
but it would be less exfoliating :))
@@syzygy3120 ...what can I use. Please do mention
@@mohantextiles5518 as mentioned in the video, you can be creative in creating the soap. so you can use powders like besan or multani mitti if youre in india :)
