CHAUVET DJ Product Manager Nick Airriess keeps the conversation flowing with this fluid primer all about the proper juice to use with foggers and hazers.
Hello. Is new HJU good for Hurrican Haze, (old style). And what's the difference between HJU and HFG?? I need fluid for my Hurrican Haze. I've never used it yet, from years ago. Thanks thanks.
We recommend HFG only because HJU is an older one that used to be sold -- as you mentioned, the Hurricane Haze you have is from some time ago. Hope this helps!
Can I use haze fluid in a fogger? The reason I'm asking is I have a fogger but want to get more of a thinner haze effect. QDF disappears too fast and HDF is too much.
Depending on your fixture, you could run any CHAUVET Fog or Haze fluid through your machine except PHF. We recommend you look into FJU (www.chauvetdj.com/products/fog-juice-gallon/) as this is a great option for you to consider.
I don't get it... why would you run fog fluid after cleaning it? Do you leave the fog fluid in there for a long period of time or do you run the cleaning liquid and leave it empty for storage?
Step 1, Use fog cleaner and run the unit until fog output it entirely transparent this cleans out any large particulates. Step 2, Run fog fluid through the unit until starts outputting fog then stop. Step 3, Put the unit into storage. Step 4, Repeat steps 1 and 2 once a month to keep the pump in good working order.
Hmm. Page 13 of the 2D manual says "Before storing the hazer, run FCQ through the system as described in the cleaning procedure above; however, only follow steps 1 through 5. Do not refill the tank with fog fluid if storing the hazer." What to believe?
@@CHAUVETDJ once a month while in storage?? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of storage? That sounds awful close to regular use!! I'm the technical director of a theatre and I only encounter one play a year on average that requires fog/haze...

If you are bringing fog fluid larger than 100ml, it would need to be packed with your other checked luggage that goes under the plane. Keep in mind, air will expand when at altitude, so squeeze the bottles to push any air out, because if any air is left inside the container it will expand and force the liquid out of the bottle. Remember, gas expands and contracts under pressure, liquid does not! To be on the safe side, we suggest confirming with the airline that you would be flying with prior to checking your luggage.
@@CHAUVETDJ in the case you say, what if I didnt open the seal yet? Will it be a lot safer? Thank you very much for answering my questions, I will also contact my airline but I know u guy have more experience than me so I would love to know from you to. Again thank you :)

Do you empty out the leftover fog cleaner liquid when it starts pushing out clear smoke before you put in the fog fluid?

Can I use QDF in my Hurricane 1800 flex?
No, we do not recommend using QDF in fog machines - it was designed for CHAUVET DJ Geyser series. Thanks for the question!

Hello. This machine will fill 29,600 CFM. And yes, please feel free to use high density fog fluid!
Isn't this just pre-mixed vegetable glycerine and water? Could save a lot of money mixing your own fog juice.
American DJ F-Scent Tropical 🤔

the haze juice is almost as thick as fog. is there a way to dilute it with distilled water to get a professional thin even spread haze?
