First video about fog and haze machines that actually explained more about them instead of just promoting a fog or haze machine. Tyvm for the information it has helped me make my decision.
When testing at the venue, I highly suggest notifying the local Fire Department prior to the test. If the test does trigger the alarm, they are aware that the testing is taking place. For one of my tests, they actually sent a crew to stand by during the testing, which prevented an 'emergency' response.
I'm in the process of setting up a basic production rig for a local sports team. We have a smoke machine that's used for player entry at a specific place, but it only really serves that purpose well. This is a small hockey rink with 1000 capacity. I'm thinking that using haze to build up some mist might work better for the beams and moving lights? A factor to consider is of course that on-ice vision cannot be impaired.
How do you convert a normal smoke machine to a Hazer kind of effect ? Ive read somewhere that it can be done thru a hack but cant seem to find it now !
is there any real difference between haze and fog fluid besides the percentage of triethylene glycol? I can't seem to find this information on the Internet. If not couldn't I just buy fog fluid for my hazer and water it down a bit with distilled water?
What cheap machine would be best if you needed to cover and hide your front door and lock? Inside an apartment building. I'm not sure I will get to fix this as they are soon coming, but at least some knowledge on it for others to easily defend them self without hurting others with covering there door? Do we have a cheap solution with smoke stay long and hard to see through? The fire training smoke with the oil based thing, sounded like it would be in the right direction.
Thank you very much about explanation of everything, but I have one question. Oil based fluids, what type of oil or what oil they use? Okay for water based fluid is usually glycols, glycerols mixed with distilled water, but what oil they use? Of course I am asking this because of the chemistry side.
smoke machines are generally a no no in nearly all venues in the UK because of fire alarms which haze machine is best what setting is best and do they not set them off too?
I have a question, Im going to use a laser machine for my musical Water fountains, in the scenario that I have to buy a haze machine could it mess with the Water? (Chemically)
This was helpful. Would it be safe to say that a haze machine is comparable to using low-density fog juice in a fog machine? I have a fog machine and have used low-density fog juice and high-density fog juice but I have never used a haze machine.
Quick and well explained with a nice Presentation, spot on Info! Thumbs up for that! You may work on your Sound Recording tho, as it doesn't seem to keep up with the Pro Level you're showing here ;)
Some fog machines also can be used with haze fluid, but it's best to check in the manual. It's worth noting that haze machines operate differently to fog machines, so putting haze fluid in a fog machine will yield different results and effects to using an actual haze machine.
I want to have fog while I'm recording singers. The fog machine will be too noisy, right? If I create the fog first, will it last the 5 minute duration of the song?
I am looking for a heavy-duty fog machine for a film set, one that puts out a large volume of fog for our horror shorts, and that can be used sometimes with low lying fog. Don't need any lights any suggestions?
Oil hazers are not preferred for outdoor venues at all. The thinner consistency makes it much easier to be blown away in the wind, leaving no effect at all.
I am a twitch streamer that wants to do dancing under laser light show in my room with all my equipment like pcs, multiple mics, laptop . Will the haze machine damage my equpiment or will I be able to do this?
HELP ! HELP ! Hi there. I want to buy a powerful fog machine that will allow me to put deoderiser, disinfectant or sterilising liquid to fog, haze and clean my car and my garage. Can you advise me on which fog machine I should buy that will allow me to do this. Much appreciated.
Haze machines are running anywhere from 3-4 times the cost of a fog machine. Does anyone know why? Can I use haze liquid in a fog machine? Or is possible to simulate haze from a fog machine by just letting it run for a few seconds? I need haze for lighting a video.
nobody answers this question.....even google doesnt know......hmmm and people say you find answers to anything on google.....ive found that half the times google doesnt have an exact result for some niche but simple questions.
All about the venue for me a lot of places don’t like heavy fog and the hazer get the job done good enough but I find it gives the lights a weaker look
I wanted to know about the respiratory dangers…as I’ve heard the can be dangerous for asthmatics and people with other respiratory disease and conditions….🤔
Interesting video. My query relates to using a 1200w machine for finding EVAP and vacuum leaks in a car (my machine is described as a 1200W Smoke Fog Machine). These units have been successfully used for this purpose (RUclips videos available) but there is little technical detail on the fluid used. I realise that this may not be your area of expertise, but I would value your opinion (and that of any knowledgeable / scientific viewers of this video). You mention water based fluid and oil based fluid - can each be used in any machine. Logically, I would imagine that oil based fluid may be more suited to producing a heavier smoke effect. Can anyone confirm, please?
It's tough to generalise one being better than the other, but haze will give a more consistent beam effect and make your lights look great with less maintenance and without blasting a big cloud into the room! If this is what you're after rather than a denser fog effect, haze is the way to go :)
Great Video... Thank you. A question related to disfecting fog machines... Are they different? There are a few that look like the 400W fog machines... Could you clarify this for us? Can you make your own fog juice with disinfecting properties and use it to fog a room for Covid-19 disinfection purposes?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately our expertise is limited to actual fog use in a special FX environment with these machines and can't speak of their effectivity to disinfect a room with custom juice! It sounds potentially a unsafe as this would output a breathable disinfectant. Might be one for a specialist forum!
When one mentions to disinfect with the fog machine, I am assuming not using typical cleaning solutions, but oils i.e. essential oils. I've researched this, essential oils can be used. Be sure to clean the machine after use.
@@toddsteinhoff2516 oh well then how do you mean? Cuz i Neeed! something that creates a literal 0% visibility in a completely sealed off room for something i think would be cool to do

Can you use a snow machine with fog juice?
Thanks for this! I know this is super late, but what about CO2 hazers? How do they work and are they less likely to trigger a smoke alarm?
Thanks so much for the info . Is there any machine that does both haze and fog ?
Looking for some type of fog machine or fluid for a sport team intro prior to a game, but don’t want it to linger. Suggestions?
