There are two I’ve used. Atmosphere aerosol (link in description) and Magican by Antari. I’ve used Magican more, because it’s easier to come by (and cheaper) in Australia.
Good question, I honestly don’t know. It’s conceivable that if it’s exposed to it frequently, over a long enough timeline that it may leave a film on the surface of the lens - particularly if it’s oil based haze. Has this happened to you?
I want to have fog while I'm recording singers. The fog machine will be too noisy, right? If I create the fog first, will it last the 5 minute duration of the song?
The fog machines are pretty loud. A continuous hazer is a bit quieter. As for how long the fog will hang, it depends on the space. If it’s enclosed and not to large, once the space is filled up it should last for 3-5 minutes. Otherwise it will probably dissipate in that time.
Do you have a link to the movie you used a fazer on? I think I will go with a fazer instead, so I dont spread oil all over the set. But Im a little afraid that the light beams will not show up enough compared to a hazer.
I’ve achieved decent light beams with both a fazer and fogger in the past. If you waft it around the space and maintain a strong, hard backlight, you shouldn’t have a problem. Link below, but we used predominantly soft lighting for this music clip. In this video it was more about having a general ambience in the space, rather than creating strong beams of light. So any back lit beams are quite subtle compared to what you’d get from a harder source. ruclips.net/video/pEzGR7QZ_1g/видео.html
Ditch the background music. It adds nothing to your video, and risks annoying the listener. Negative value proposition. In this case, it was too annoying and i had to stop watching. First time to your channel. My first impression.
Thanks for the feedback, this was an early video and we’ve made quite a few changes since this one was published, the audio mix being one of them. I have to agree, it was just too loud, but we all start somewhere. Sorry to disappoint and I hope your day gets better from here.
I want more lighting tutorial . Please dont stop teaching us.
Haha, I don't plan on stopping any time soon! We have more lighting tutorials coming up very soon! Thank you again for the comment ☺️
Vape + battery powered leaf blower = portable haze machine
Plus the benefits of a set that smells like berries 🤣
@@CreativePathFilms yes lol. Interestingly, vape doesnt set off alarms. Atleast in many different locations I did.
That’s good to know! We’ve yet to experiment with it.
Thank you so much for this video
But what's the name of the cans used?

hi there, My I know if Theatrical smoke and fog will decrease the contrast and sharpness of a lens permanently?

Great job!
Thank you!

Thanks, it was very kind of you to share the link!
Pleasure!
If haze can is pressed continuously, how long will it last?
Not very long sadly, minutes. Maybe 3-5?
Is this stuff safe to breathe??
A very important question, here are some links for further reading:

@@CreativePathFilms 😊😊😊
nice video! subbed, liked
Thanks Hoan! Welcome to the channel 😊
Some people use smoke grenades for outdoor shoots.
Another great option! Thanks for the note. 🙂
just employsomeone who likes a vape ....
😂
So, who's idea was it to outmix digital music over analogue voice? it never works, guys. The music signal is stronger...... kinda basic stuff, really.
I know, we regret it. We’ve changed our our approach and mix since these earlier videos.
