I think the main selling point is that this set caps off the entire modular theme, and you can build a pretty neat looking castle with this addition. That's why it's a bit more expensive.

The white wand is definitely inaccurate, but I’m honestly happy they made it inaccurate.
We get the elder wand colour wand quite often, it’s not the only wand that uses that colour as far as I know, meanwhile the white wand is only ever done with Voldemort, and he’s not been in very manny sets at all since the return of the theme, so I’m glad we got the new wand in that colour now since we never know when that might happen again, whilst the other colours will probably be made soon enough
I literally bought the Ron from the attack on the burrow (2020) just so I could have an older Ron in the battle of Hogwarts.
I literally just want a cheap affordable set with Ron in it

Polyjuice potion mistake! I hope it’s still available. Technically their in Slytherin robes but you still get the 3 main characters!
Mediocre at best considering we have had 2 clock towers in the past. The most recent one being part of the modular system. Would have been nice to have seen the boat house, Malfoy Manor, the wooden bridge, the Hog’s head, shell Cottage, the Lovegood’s Residence, Tale of the 3 brothers etc
Well, in the combined model part of this set becomes the boat house and the clock part which is the great hall clock just becomes a wall that’s hidden
The Tale of Three brothers would make an excellent diorama set. I never considered them making a set out of that but now that you’ve brought it up, I really want LEGO to make something like that
This aint the clock tower?
Even though it is literally "a clock tower", this is supposed to be the exterior of the Great Hall and the courtyard surrounding it. This is not the same building as the Clock Tower/Hospital Wing.

Gutted that we probably won’t get a Deathly Hallows Ron!
I have all of the 2018-2020 Hogwarts sets. When they introduced the new system in 2021, I was a bit angry, because I already had many of those buildings, and they didn’t match my previous sets. That said, I really like this set.

Excellent review! I discovered if I put Harry’s wand in one hand with a red spell on the end and used another long red spell piece with one of the shields on the end in his other hand it balanced him out and he didn’t fall over.
I just picked up this set (for 50% off 'cause I bought the Hogwarts Express too. Thanks Fnac :P) and I love it. By far my favourite set from the wave. And I was also very surprised the wands are actually new pieces.
I don't love the sand-green robes for the Dark Lord, though. I know why they did it but his robes in the final battle are still the matte emerald green ones. So I think it would have looked better in either dark green or a new shade of green.
Yeah the green color turns me off a bit from wanting this set.
Why would they go with a great hall interior 🤦♂️ like have we not had like 4 great halls, why can’t they make like some class rooms, or maybe, they could just make a bridge.
I want to get two of this set so that I can have a bridge and a courtyard for my Hogwarts Castle.
Those wands are way overdue! I want to get a few to make some nice dioramas!
This is gonna be the final set for my Massive fantasy castle moc. I was missing a entrance building, and then this set came out and its perfect.
This looks like one of the stronger Modular’s. I appreciate not having Ron or Hermione
If they'd only do any color but Sandy Tan!! I hate that color on Castles. Imagine a Gray Castle?! This could have been great. But best of the Mod Sets.
Regarding to the top heaviness on the 'spash' / 'clash' parts (red/green), Lego should put a stud on one and an antistud on the other, so the opponents (Harry vs Morty) can connected and stablelize minifigs stand. But two antistud, feels like a design flaw to me.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 is one of the best movies! We should get more sets from the film
Seems like each time LEGO creates some representation of the great hall, it’s smaller every time. I’d rather just pretend it’s some random alcove/spare room at this point. Despite that, it’s a great set for displaying the battle, especially if you add more relevant characters. Solid review too, I always appreciate Holly’s insights on the HP theme.

It's a nice looking set, but I feel it's overpriced for what we get. Also, the lack of skirt printing on Bellatrix makes no sense, especially since there's skirt printing on Molly and Voldemort. I agree, there should have been a new face print for Molly, because the one they used isn't accurate for the scene.
The price really hurts the set which is such a shame, There's also very few large elements so I wonder how much the new prints and pieces cost, and how much LEGO thought they could overcharge as a result
I'm pretty sure voldemort wears robes and not a dress.
This is an absolutely gorgeous display piece, but I think I would only buy it if its on sale, the price is too much for what is included.

Thanks for the review. I think it's a lot of money for a tiny amount of LEGO. It's not bad but it's just 35 euros worth of LEGO sold for double that.

$140 for that... oof, bland is accurate.
This demonstrates that Lego had a plan and built a fantastic anniversary styled Hogwarts.
I personally think they only came up with a plan last year given they cut quite a few from the major combined model
@HollyOnFilm yeah you could be right. Either way, I like the final look. I wished they had designed the Philosopher's Stone tasks and troll in the Dungeon. But all in all, a very good Hogwarts. Now that we have seen all anniversary sets connected by some fellow RUclipsrs, it'll be interesting to see in the future how you would connect all 11 sets together. 👍

Having no Deathly Hallows Part 2 Ron figure is a huge ass L, we should’ve gotten him over Scabior
It's clever that the wings can be combined to form a bridge, but the base model here is atrocious. It's just a long flat wall, and an incredibly overpriced one at that. Even at half price I'm not convinced it would be good value.

The designer of the voldemort minifigure must either be color blind or just doesn't know the lore because his robes are actually black in the film. They just get dusty from the battle and the green glow from his wand makes it appear sand green. Possibly a rare figure if they decide to change the colors and prints to make it more accurate to the film

This set was disappointing, it should have had way more minifigures and should have been made to look more like Hogwarts looked during the battle for Hogwarts
It's called BASE PLATES for the figs falling over, not complicated. Just decide your ground color and it's MAGIC they don't Fall over anymore?!?
