I'd like to suggest to number them like episodes to make it easier to know the oldest from the newest. I've been watching every single one released so far and I love it!

Unfortunately, market research has shown that numbered videos actually drive more people away than they keep. The Completionist stopped numbering his stuff a few years ago because he found that a lot of people were intimidated by long-running shows. They'd basically go "I am NOT watching the first 122 episodes to get context for tihs one" as if these review shows had storylines or something.
@2:51 A slight correction: after Dragon Quest 4 the west wouldn't get a new Dragon Quest game until Jan 2000 "Dragon Quest Monsters". DQ7 came to the west in Oct 2001. Was getting the Dragon Warriors game in the early 90s and then nothing for so long but when I saw Dragon Warrior Monsters in 2000 I right away got it and loved it.
Loved Dragon Quest Monsters!! I played the hell outta that on the GameBoy Color. I remember it standing out in my carrying case because it had a black cartridge, rather than grey.
Dragon Quest 4 is actually my favorite in the series. It's the first one where they give all party members some character. The music is phenomenal and the AI isn't all that bad as long as you switch to the correct tactics.
Loved it! My friend had the NES version but the DS remake fixed the AI problems and made it much better. It's actually my favorite of the series too.
The Felix The Cat NES game was fun to play althought it was short and easy. Felix The Cat was eventually brought by Dreamworks and now exists as ... A clothing brand.
Felix the cat was the first game i finished. It was 11pm on Christmas and after 3 hours i finally finished it. It was great

I remember Felix the cat. My late grandmother (my dad’s mom) had a Felix the cat clock. I remember seeing when I visited her old house once when I was little. I remember the cartoons too, I watched some of the old ones on VHS. I vaguely remember the 95 series though. I’m a millennial who’s boomer folks introduced and exposed her to things from their generation and what it was like.
The dragon quest thing is a myth, apparently. Or, rather, a story that took on a life of its own. In reality, there were some kids who skipped school to play a previous Dragon Quest, and so the Knicks started releasing the game on days when there was not school. they never actually canceled school because of Dragon Quest. At least, that was the state of the information last I heard it.

Oh sorry for forgetting this in my first post but yes you should play Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest III as well because they are my favorites in the series and I've played every mainline title other the X plus many of the spinoffs.
I love that Akira Toriyama did all the art for it. the Dragon ball creator.
I know I'm responding to this way later but I've gotta recommend playing a stream of Dragon Warrior 4, I loved that game as a kid. I really adored the story. I wont spoil it but it has a real many stories coming together thing going on. And the moment when they finally converge just gave my little kid heart a swell of 'oh, oh its happening' lol.
Ahh Super Batter Up. One of two sports games dad bought right after I bought my SNES with the other being Madden 93.
Regarding when other Dragon Warrior games were released (2:55 in the video), three Dragon Warrior games were released on Game Boy Color (Dragon Warrior Monsters, and ports of Dragon Warrior I & II and Dragon Warrior III) before Dragon Warrior VII was released.

Since you love Final Fantasy so much, you should play Dragon Quest III, actually! Dragon Quest III, VI, VII, and IX all have job systems (called vocations in the new localization). I personally recommend either the GBC or Switch versions of Dragon Quest III. The Switch one will be easiest to play since it’s readily available. That said, it’s getting an HD2D remake eventually.
As for Dragon Quest IV, I played the NES original and loved it so I recommend it. That said, your characters are preset so there isn’t much customization available.
Dragon Quest V is very emotional for a lot of players and I played the Super Famicom original as well. It’s a beautiful game but it can be very difficult at certain points.
Also, don’t sleep on Dragon Quest II. The Switch one is perhaps the best version to play now but the GBC is just fine too. I’d stay away from the NES one (although I still have to actually try it to verify the claims on how frustrating that version is). DQ2 has some wonderfully whimsical music. The reason I recommend the Switch one is becomes it is the only version that provides modern Zoom (fast travel); previous versions had you having to actually travel back and forth places. That said, there are teleporters that helped you reach places quicker… but without your boat 🙃
I have Dragon Quest 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on my Android, the 3DS Dragon Quest 7 and 8, and Dragon Quest 9 for the DS and Dragon Quest 11 on the Switch.

I remember reading that Felix NP back in the day over and over again. Never played the game though.

Dragon Warrior actually completely ruined JRPGs for me at a young age. I was familiar with Zelda, and this looked similar, but the battles were random and menu based, which wasn't as fun as the more action-oriented Zelda. Also if I wandered too far without leveling up first, a concept foreign to me, I would just get obliterated by a higher level enemy. It was frustrating and I actually didn't care for JRPGs after that until several years after high school when a friend made me try Final Fantasy XII. It was magnificent, and opened my eyes to how fun JRPGs could be. I went back and saw the back catalog of JRPGs I had missed out of stubborn ignorance though the 90s with brand new eyes. It's one of my most favorite genres now.
I love the Felix the cat game, I played both the Nes and Gameboy versions a whole lot. Unfortunately it doesn't have a harder mode so once you beat it a few times that's it.
I took a moment out of the Felix review to go find and watch one of the earlier ones, Feline Follies. The ending of that cartoon... well, let's say that Jared saying we were moving away from a kid-friendly platformer is some of the best irony I've had this week. Enjoy that pre-Hays code goodness, everybody!

Oh no. These older ones should have the dates in it or at least in the top of the description. Obviously it took me less than a second to realize I had seen this, but I *was* curious about the date. Luckily I have seen other suggestions in the comments here, but yeah. This won’t be an issue soon anyway. But dates in tits or descripts might be cool

I was born during this (Oct 8, 92), and I gotta say, my birth week... was kind of weak. That Felix The Cat game looks interesting though. Might seek that one out.

I wonder what motivated them to try to resurrect Felix over characters like Bosco, Grape Ape, or Hector Heathcote.
Gen X had a vintage revival for 30s cartoons - Betty Boop, Felix the Cat, Old Disney, etc. They all had a comeback because they attained a vintage cool with that generation. Grape Ape was too modern for it.

My ex girfriend from many many years ago got into Dragon Quest 9 on the DS and with it's online features, I uhh, I feel like I missed
Dragon warrior> Dragon quest. Even if I think Dragon quest 8 may be the best of the series. The games felt darker and less cutesy. FF4,FF6, FF7(og and remake) are all above my fav DQ games but all DQ games are very good to top 10 favorite rpgs outside of the 1st 2.
With Dylan having to do all these rapid-fire reviews of so many sports games, by the end of this series he could present a rundown of every sports game ever made, and give his thoughts on how they're all exactly the same.
Was very confused since this came up as "new" on the new channel... episode numbers or release dates in the title would be very welcome.
I never really tried Dragon Quest, I was too focused on Final Fantasy.
Hope you gave it a shot afterwards. Otherwise you're missing out.
Dragon Quest was a tabletop RPG in the States in 1980, so they couldn't reuse it and had to rename it to Dragon Warrior, which IMHO is so much better and less kindergarten-sounding. Maybe if they make an action-RPG spin-off for adults and called _it_ "Dragon Warrior", maybe that'd be good.

I had and played all these dragon warrior games as a teenager, DW 3 was definitely the best right when you thought you beat the final boss... BOOM whole nother world. But i liked them all
