This is a great kit, i have made models with different heads from other kits like Saxons and even kits from Oathmark and Frostgrave and Wargames Atlantic, so figures can be used in many different armies and Fantasy skirmishes. The best model is one bending over, readying the crossbowfor firing, while have a crossbow bolt in his mouth, ready to load. An excellent kit. Thanks for the revjew
Cheers, yeah this is definitely one of my favorite Victrix sets, and the ability here to blend bits and models with other kits from Victrix and different manufacturers is really staggering. I think I’m going to press half of them into my Dark Age Norse and the other half into my 12th century crusaders.
@@Dan-ds8sf watched second time and that section at the end with crossbow arms on other manufacturer models was really good. That oathmark goblin looked perfect.
I'm building the Victrix Norman infantry set right now. I wonder if some of the unused arms from that kit would provide some hand weapon options for these crossbowmen? 🤔
Yes absolutely, that’s how I base all of my Victrix miniatures. At the 22:00 mark of my Early Armoured Saxon unboxing you can see some Victrix Huscarls, which are comparable in size and base on 20mm squares.
I decided today that I was going to cool it on buying more sets. Now I want a Norman army 😂

I've been thinking of kitbashing these with oathmark goblin heads and use them as crossbow orcs.
You can see at the end they blend with Oathmark Goblin bodies without any issue, and certainly look like LoTR crossbow orcs to me.

Absolutely, I think they’d blend together without any issue at all.

Not sure, but GW model scales run a wide range depending on the era. Which models are you trying to blend them with?
