  • The Aurs burn Railway Viaduct. Built in 1901 using concrete in the same way as the more famous Glenfinnan Viaduct. It was part of the Paisley and Barrhead District Railway. It was only ever used for freight. The line opened in 1905 and closed in 1941. For a long time the bridge was closed off but was brought back into use as a pedestrian walk way linking the Auchenback and Springhill areas of Barrhead.
