Those older holley sniper EFI have known issues with the injector plugs not getting fully seated from the factory. The fix is to remove the "fuel bowl" on that side and reinstall the plug to that injector. Might have to tweak the pins in the injector plug to get it to fully seat. That's a very common problem that has been fixed in the new snipe 2 system.
Great job Eric!! You take good care of your Mom!! Good luck on the injector problem. I don't know squat about those either. LOL!! Those new tires for the wrecker look pretty "beefy"!!
I found today's show to be profoundly helpful to use the code reader to track down a rough engine out of the blue, the same day I replaced a rear passenger window. The more you want to be ready, there's more to do. Thanks.
Yep, one of those little critters got to the wire of my fuel pump above the tank, thankfully it just gave off a warning code. Spray the cars down with repellant spray every couple of months.
Man, if only there was a Tire Guy who could support your channel directly! I don't know anything about those injection systems either, but something isn't getting a signal. I hope it's a simple and quick fix!
I am certainly not telling you how to do your rigs but at least consider copper-zinc brake lines. I bought a decent flaring tool from Eastwood to do the double flares and a couple rolls of tubing and a set of fittings and you are all set. The line doesn't corrode, it is cheaper than stainless but more than steel and super easy to work with. That is what I used when I replumbed by '67 Bronco.
Seems like you got the Sniper EFI unit just a year ago . I’m not sure if I would say it’s quite a reliable upgrade? Anyway you could upgrade to a factory EFI off another type vehicle with a much more reliable track record? Just my opinion….
Just as well you have not gone to full hydraulic steering. Without the power assist it is hard on the arms, but at least you do not need a wrecker to pickup the front end to steer.
I know Eric said 2009, but I consider anything OBD2 new, I can't stand all this computer shyt! Nice truck moms got, and there's that doggie! Such a great doggie 🐕
You know the tires go up in to the wheelwells when the axles articulate. And the front tires turns. So when flexed out and full turn, the tires need a lot of room. Lifting it doesn’t really help, because it can still go up just as much as stock if you don’t change the bumpstops. If you are just on the street a regular lift kit will give you room for bigger tires. Off road a angle-grinder is your friend 😉
The smart people that supposedly know everything forgot about somethings . Like when you make the plastic coating around the wires out of soybean oil . It is liquorish to rodents . I think the car manufacturers should be held responsible for this and replace every wire harness in every car or promis to stop and give everyone a free car or truck to make it right . This problem has been known for over twenty years...and they are still doing it .
Don't act like you've never drove that truck through the trails with no power steering before if you start trying to make content by being dramatic your hardcore channel followers are done 😢
I have been having a lot of issues with my TECM I have a 2015 gmc Sierra and it shifts weird from 3rd to 4th pretty regularly, like feels as if it just slips for a bit before catching gear and doesnt do it every time, its annoying! .for me it all started when I had a trans rebuild but after several trips to the transmission shop I still have the problem and they are now saying its "normal" it hasn't thrown a code again since the last time I took it back. They claimed they replaced the tecm "several times" so Ive been driving it that way for several month waiting for it to break all the way , it work correct for a few weeks our a month after each visit but just keeps going back the same deal. sounds like it is a common issue judging by forums on the topic but not a lot of solution . if anyone has some insight on this please let me know it bugs me big time!! PS sorry for this long comment I know this isn't the place for asking questions like this , just hoping someone might have some thoughts on this. My next step will be to take it to someone else because they will not warranty it and I dont trust them anymore anyway.

My daddy used to call that Armstrong steering and push-hard brakes 😅😂

Can't wait to see how these newer GoodYears hold up as a pose to the ones you been running...
As my Pappy would say "No rest for he mekenek!" Something is always broken.

Good luck 😊 you’ll get it fixed 😊 God Bless 😊
Those darn mice! Great video
keep the clips coming
If you are swapping out all 6 of those tires I dont envy the work ahead of you at this point.
Thank you for your hard work
Never ends when you wrench lol😊
Yes go ahead work on it
When your new big shop is too small so you have to shuffle stuff around to make it all fit. 😁

You didnt. It was that crossing tree that didnt look left and right but just crossed😂.

Looking good.👍😎✊

To the shop
Got the "Armstrong" steering system going with the wrecker, eh?
Hope you get to at some point
NNNK did a video on how he found that in a gen1 sniper they have bad injector connectors that can cause that issue.
Were do you get them tires and what's the situation.too
Can you share where you get those surplus tires?

I would use transmission fluid for your power steering it's thicker then regular power steering and it holds up better in extreme cold and heat
Need to get another team member to help with the builds and content in the shop while you're out

Eric, Ben Cox (Paul's brother) just tore down a throttle body and cleaned the injector. He might point you in the right direction. @ B&ms garage.
Relatively new to channel. What is the setup for the wrecker? 350? 454? Always in 4LO?
350, and generally i believe its in 4Lo
It's all of those little "projects" that screw the day!
Gday guys
You can't beat $100 a tire, keep running them.
Hind site is always 20 20.
What rear view mirror is in the wrecker? Ive glued the mirror on my squarebody to the window twice now and am over it.
there's a video he posted about it i think it was like a late 60's chevy he got it out of
@@russellcoughlin258 Got it, looks like a 69-71 c10 rear view mirror. Thanks!
Are those tires 37 12.5 16 erik?
16.5
That a low oil pressure check the gauge on the dash ?
Cause Myra, if it aint broke, dont fix it😂 and its hard to get duals that big

Blondie gonna be a sweet ride.
Nothing wrong with govt boots lol . Wear as they will.
What happened to the poor dually?
Looks like he is going to cut it up and make a dually pickup box trailer.
maybe mom should not be driving now.....
Huh your wheel wells look like they have so much extra space. Didn't think you'd have to lift the truck to fit bigger tires.
