Before I had dismissed "The Silmarillion" preferring "The Hobbit" as my favorite Tolkien book, but after listening to all of "Nightfall in Middle-earth" I gave it a reread and now it's my favorite of Tolkien's works.

I know this is a seven year old comment but I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that. He knows how to work up a crowd and it's impossible not to feel his charisma when you watch his proform

I love this song and this album. After listening to this on youtube, I ordered this album and Imaginations from the Other Side. After listening to those, I reread The Silmarillion and got more out of it than I did the first time through. I never realized how powerful the Oath of Feanor passage was in the book until I heard the words sung so passionately.
I had the priviledge of seeing them Live in SOUTH AFRICA in 2007!!! Even when only a miserabel 1200 people showed (W.T.F. South Africa???!!) for an outdoor gig they still absolutely ruled. They were just unbelievable. Even from 1200 throats the choruses were absolutely deafening...I swear this album (and most of their otherstuff) was born to be performed live.
EVery Live perfomance I watch by these guys I am constantly amazed by the crowd. They have the best audiences ever!!!! IM SEEING THEM LIVE IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!

That's how I discovered Blind Guardian and that lead me to Nightfall in Middle Earth, one my favorite albums forever. I'm still a fan to this day. Twelve years separate my comments, but my love of Blind Guardian hasn't faded.

I saw Blind Guardian back in 2007, live @ Graspop... Plain epic performance, sang along with tears in my eyes, such a great feeling. I will never forget that night. The setlist was, for a large part, almost identical to the setlist on the DVD.
