I bought one and they are a beast! I was cutting 4" dead pinion pine and this thing just kept cutting, very impressive for aRyobi toy tool!

Just bought one and love it. It's oil-less but I lube the chain anyway. Seems to cut thicker branches even faster that way. And it cuts a lot of stuff on less than a full battery charge. I've never gone pass one bar of a full charge.

yea same with me... I got a echo chainsaw but don't want to have to always fire it up for small stuff.. that's why I got this and very happy with it so far !

Great and lightweight on ladder and on atv sled trails and small wood for my cabin i love big 2 stroke saws but this is just so easy to do a bunch of work without a work out and getting dirty

exactly! i use this on my hunting property and i agree super easy to handle cuts good for clearing smaller branchs off of trails and not loud like a traditional chainsaw! the performance for this Ryobi one plus is impressive imo

are you using the 1.5ah 18v battery?

Does it need to be oiled? I’ve read people say it does, then read where someone said a Ryobi rep said it does not as it doesn’t generate too much heat. Help please.

I haven't but a spray lube maybe silicone based lightly sprayed on the bar wouldn't hurt

Yes anything with metal to metal will make things last longer wd 40 or silicone plus keep the rust away

Is it better than a compact reciprocating saw with a pruning blade?

A chainsaw cuts like a chainsaw. I’m glad you won’t buy one so you can continue to do nothing with your life.
