if you buy at the right time, you can get your hands on 4x 4AH batteries for the price of 2x 4AH batts($250aud). i did that seeing as i do alot with all my battery tools. should see plenty of cut time plus i can charge 2 whilst im still cutting and im not constantly swapping the battery around when using multipul tools
yes its a decent chainsaw but you need to keep the chain sharp, i wanted to show its capability but really its better suited to smaller logs but will cut through the occasional large log if needed.
My 12" brushless from Ryobi does not have a brake. I do love this little saw though... I have a Husqvarna for real jobs, but this thing is great for quick cuts that you don't want to get out the big saw. It's great for the RV too
It makes perfect sense, if you just want to cut a few logs or clear a fallen tree its fine. If you want to cut wood all day its not the right tool for the job

I bought this saw because of the positive reviews from plenty of people who use it.
I will be using this saw very soon.
From FL.
I purchased the same saw. Love it. Home depot has a 14" chain & bar for $30.00 I put it on the saw and it handles ir very well.
The 36 volt is the one to get. It's got some serious balls and lasts, even when cutting hardwood. Great saw.
I'll take a look, thanks for recommending

All of my other stuff is M18 Milwaukee, you can buy an adapter on Amazon to use the Milwaukee batteries,
For £20 so good with the big boy 12AH
NIce vid I just bought one of these.
Can you tape the slide switch forward - will it still work when you press the trigger?
Get the brushless models. I got the older 8" Ryobi.. Brushes gave out, can't fix, no warranty...
What model number is this? All of the ryobi 12 inch saws I have looked at do not have a chain brake.
OCS 1830

What's it like on proper hardwood?
As long as there not to thick, it cuts no problem
That made no sense. You said how good it is. Then at the end you said its no good. Just good for pruning etc.

Junk… go get a stihl !
Beautiful machine
How many big logs to 1 battery? Approximately mate?
