Cool trick with the pulley half-bolted to the ascender. Makes it one unit and very quick to employ. I’m not gonna be a lifeguard and chew your ass for compromising safety because it sees such a light load of 3 to 1 and contributes even less to overall “safety of life”. And it’s obvious that you don’t use it for any heavier application. Speaking of safety and “hooked up”, man you’ve got that covered. 👊😎
As always, just amazing! All those lines! Don't know how you learned all this! I bet you would also enjoy going the other way and spelunking. Nice job!
Nice accent! Wow that was far! 2:1system on the hook lanyard? I find at times I have to float myself to nasty dead trees. I learned watching. Thanks for sharing!
Great video ! Very cool use of your Captain Hook. Are you an arborist or just a climber for fun ? You move very quickly in the tree ! Very unusual on a lot of Rec climbing videos hahahahaha! Nice tall trees you have there to play on as well !
Thanks for the amazing video! I found your channel searching for info on the Captain Hook. New climber here who has spent countless hours reading and watching videos, trying to come up with an equipment list. Thought I had it covered but now I see all kinds of new stuff in your video. Wishing I could see a list I hit "show more" and there it was! Thank you very much. I'm at retirement age and have a medical condition that has taken away my body fat and a lot of muscle. I'm liking that 3:1 system and the hand ascender on your main line. I noticed in the comments that the Tango Cinch is discontinued. Is there a current replacement for that device?
@@AerialTraveler Thanks for the very information filled reply. I'll study and watch videos until I'm certain what each device does. I don't believe there are any stores in my urban area so everything has to be ordered including the harness which I would like to try on first. I'll check for returns but still a pain shipping back and forth.
@@AerialTraveler Great info in those videos that you linked! I didn't know about recreational tree climbing so I was just looking at arborist stuff before I found your channel. Weird that there seems to be a divide on some equipment including belays. I'm confused about SRT climbing hitches. At first, thought I saw only mechanical plus a rope prusik combined. Figured the combo was needed for the increased holding weight of SRT. Recently, believe I saw mechanical only and rope prusik only. Is the Rope Wrench considered a combo? It looks like the rope prusik is doing all of the holding even though it has some mechanical items.
Interesting! Not sure I was aware people even did this kind of stuff recreationally... Not being negative, but I'm not sure I would call it 'tree climbing'; maybe 'aerial trapeze, anchored to trees'. Clicked in to your channel because I saw a comment you left at 'Outside & Stuff' channel. Sounded like you're interested in visiting Washington... Pretty sure you could websearch 'popular hikes/climbs in Washington' and get a decent list. There are tons, from amateur to extreme. Have a great day! SkagitEd
AerialTraveler Yep, good source. And O & S is one of my favorite RUclips channels. Hoping to meet them sometime.... I live about an hour north of Seattle.

Thanks for the video. Nice ending!
Thanks for this video. I really like the way you show your gear list and your traversals.
Looks like fun. Good job on the video!
Sounds good.

Very nice dude
That’s a super fast system!!! :O
Great video! Interested in how you combined a pinto pulley and a ascender together!
Nice ending!

So expensive, is it worth it? As always, love your video. On my 5th climb and was too afraid to do limb walk.

when you set up the 3 to 1 off of the line going to the hook, what was that progress capture device that was clipped on your bridge carabiner?
More gear then a junkie
Where did you get you pmi ez-bend spliced?
Too much gear
