The graphite on charcoal is not the problem of the product but more a problem in general with these two mediums. Graphite is more shiny and smooth so the charcoal can't stick on it well, as you could see. Just try to put charcoal down first and then the graphite on top. Hope it helps and great vid otherwise, have a nice day💜
Jel Arts: *uploads* Me: *checking the notification appear on my screen* *grabs phone right away* *struggling to open the mystery video* Network: You know right?! I won't let you live in peace Anyway, love ya, Jel Seems like I have to wait for the network to clear out but I know the video will be amazing so dropped a like! And a fun comment❤ Never stop inspiring us
I havent been able to draw traditionally since Im focusing on my portfolio right now but seeing your video inspired me to create some traditional drawings. Thank you so much for this! Also your process eases me since its alright to have mistakes and keep on changing your ideas before the final artwork!
Is it just me or did a lot of the art subscription boxes concentrate on pencils this month ?! Your pencil skills are amazing, can't see the struggle in the end results. :)
Stipple paper will not do much with line work. It works best with large areas of toned shading. We used to use it in the old days before computer graphics to fake halftone dots when printing with spot colors to save costs of camera work. If you use line it tends to burnish the texture away.
I somehow got that Generals Layout pencil too. Not sure how I ended up with it. But it is now one of my favorites. I just love the way it goes down. I use it all the time. I think your pics were better than you thought. I really liked the final one & also the one with the city buildings in the background. Nice. TYFS
Yaas, another video! I've been waiting for it a loooong time. The last days of the holidays are always the most interesting, compared to the rest, especially when your favorite youtuber puts new video ^^
I agree with the paper. I do not like the Canson Mixed Media Sketchbooks because they are oddly textured to me. That is why I love The Strathmore Vision the best!!!
A really cool Video !! I am feeling like sometimes you can forget that graphite pencils can be more than just a medium for an under sketch. Maybe because the tons of art mediums that are out there are just so overhelming ! I struggled a lot to use colored pencils with textured paper. But I am sharingvyour opinion that it can be a challenge to try to work with what you have sometimes and you can try out new techniques that may be your new go to 🌱 I really like the look of the endresult and this more monochromatic style suits the omposition very well 😊🍃
What a funk lol. Fun to watch you push yourself. Guess that's what these art boxes are good for. This would be me trying any new mediums/supplies btw, total confusion lol
Hey, I was kinda early for the first time ever lol (earlier than my usual at least) , can you tell me what's the brand of the woodless pencils? I can't seem to find a brand with that logo online~ I loved the video, I know you struggled a bit with the medium, but still the process and the result were amazing 💜
Gets sketchbox :let's have some fun with new art supplies *no color *. .. It's ok, I would have liked some colors but it's fine Palletfull box : yay more pencils and no color.......:/

I love full graphite drawings, did a lot of them myself. Even if you don't LOVE your reslut, I think it's actually pretty good ♡
It looks like shes in an actual foliage frame! Pretty cool.

Oh that's good haha :) yeah there were a lot of pencils! But scrawlrbox had really pretty paint colours!
Wait till next month when everything's going to be ink.
@@MariaRevArt I actually have their inks based box from last year that I have yet to unbox. :) Oopsie.
The result looks so beautiful! Love the 'messy but in a good way' :D Seeing your process was a lot of fun!
The asmr of this video is perfect lol pencil is always tough to work with! Thank you for still sharing the work throughs and struggles
Hahaha I noticed you could really hear the pencil noises when editing the video :)
Beautiful

Loved the end drawing
Thank you!
Wolff carbon 6b is great with very smooth paper and sharpened to a taper
Yeah, I'm sure smooth paper would be much better!
I was waiting for thiss :D
I can't wait to watch it!
very dreamy magical looking piece :)
can really see how textured the paper is, probably more suited to pastels or conte then pencils
I love it 🥰 great job
Are you going to upload a video of the making of that journal page? It's so beautiful and cool 😍
Not this time, unfortunately!
Really cool pencils
The texture of the paper added a lot to the illustration though. I love it!
i love the drawing that you did it is so interesting

I love your work 😍😍😍, I was waiting for this all week, but finally I have it 🤩. You are my inspiration ❤️, I hope be like you someday :3.
Love you 💕
Despite you not liking the medium you still did rly well! Outcome was still amazing. I too am not a fan of textured paper
Slight texture is fine, but this really coarse dotted texture? Not for me 😅

Hahah I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my struggle!

I don't know what brand the ones in the video were, but Cretacolour makes a line of woodless graphite pencils called Monolith. They are really nice.
@@MariaRevArt oh thank you, I'll check them out! 💜
Like videos like this👍
❤
🤩🤩
I'm surprisingly early And I can't wait to watch this!
Well, look. You worked it out.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Exactly hahaha
You spelled “supplies” wrong on the thumbnail
You can try to put some music in background😉 it's pretty relaxing and I can concentrate on your video better🤗
I don't mean to sound rude but the clipart says 'suplies' and I think you meant to say 'supplies'. Thought to let you know.;/
She liked my comment Crazy
Sorry you had so many problems.
Don’t forget to wash your hands , duh 🙄
