Those low 12V and input voltages just seem to be a thing with these EVGA 3090 FTW3 cards. I have screenshots from when I was testing mine at various points and those voltages were always 11.4V-11.6V yet the card always worked like a champ for ~2 years with my EVGA 850W 80+ Platinum PSU.
I wonder if higher voltage drop is just with the 3090? I only get around a 200-300mv drop in voltage under load(from around 12.2-12.3 down to around 12v.) on an evga 3080ti.

Dang how can someone do this to a card I'd never except one time shorting a cap with metal screwdriver lol But as the other card that is crazy how that fuse got so hot it delaminated the other copper layers to get them to short wow 😮 but what a repair and it's always MOSFETs hahah. cool to see the experience and finding the culprits at large. Nice work as always.
Yeah i noticed that too. It could be a reflection just at the right angle. That is a supplemental 5v rail. Does not effect card functionality in any meaningful way anyway.

I suspect the PCIE cables got problems or the PSU itself. Such lvoltages at all the pins are suspiciously low & very strange as well. I wouldn't be surprised if there were crashes during any modern AAA games which needs some 450W + power 🤔

Hello i have a question about gigabyte pcb cracking cards, i can get a open box gigabyte 4080 for 950 usd but i've heard about these cards cracking now. however i heard people saying if you mount it vertically or use a support bracket/anti sag it will help. would this be a good idea to help prevent it?

it's not abnormal for the Core to warm up if the Card gets partway through or fully through initializing - it's the main Power consumer and so if it turns on it'll get warm pretty quickly without a Heatsink.
