16oz recipe
Shea Butter- 2.40oz
Kokum Butter- 2.40oz
Cocoa Butter- 2.40oz
Mango Butter- 4.80oz
Avocado oil/sunflower- .64oz
jojoba oil- .64oz
coconut oil- 2.40oz
vitamin e- .32oz
arrowroot .35oz
fragrance .80oz
Melt all oils/butters (except vitamin E) slowly in double boiler or on 30 second intervals in microwave. After all are mixed well, add Vitamin E, Arrowroot Powder, Mica, and FO with a whisk. Blend until all powders are evenly dispersed. Put in Freezer for 30 minutes-1 hour. Let sit in room temp for 20 minutes. You want the temp somewhere between 55-65 degrees before hitting them with the blender. Once you get them to the right temp, whip with blender until stiff enough to hold shape. You might have to blend a bit and put back in fridge for 20 minutes or so to get cold enough again to get stiff enough. Once you have the ideal texture, plop in piping bag and pipe in your jars. Enjoy :)

10% Cocoa Butter

Kaolin Clay
Colloidal Oatmeal
Goat Milk Powder
Tussah silk for lye solution (small pinch will do, about the size of a pea)

Hope you enjoy and happy soaping!!
Thank you very much for giving percentages. Hard to find those on most people’s recipes. It gives me a little bit insight on formulation.
Hey Jen! This is the exact way I do mine. It usually takes me about 3 times in and out of the freezer. I just love the consistency!! If anyone makes the recipe, make sure to do it during the cool months if shipping because it can melt back down. Nothing wrong with it but the fluff is gone. You could just rewhip it if ya wanted to though. I LOVE this stuff!! Have a great weekend...Big ((Hugs)) and love from Texas! xo : )
I just hit my cocoa butter with a hammer while still in the bag, then blitz the chunks in my vitamix blender so it’s roughly powdered and then it melts really fast.
D MS great idea!
Just found you here after many, MANY searches for body butter recipes and methods. Great video, full of good info and I am super excited to see that you have a business page for supplies too. I can't tell you how many searches I did for a reputable and reasonably priced supplier for shea/cocoa/manger butters, mica, fragrances, etc. Looking forward to learning more and probably purchasing supplies from your business when I run out of what I just ordered today (alas, from another supplier). But you have definitely been bookmarked. Thanks!
Beautiful Jen it looks really skin yummy. You’re a legend how you share with us. What an amazing Lady you are. Thanks again.💐💐💐💕💕
Thanks so very much. Was looking for a good whipped body butter recipe. Made some and wonderful. You made it so easy to follow. Love it! 😍
Thanks for sharing your recipe. This would be great to make for Christmas.
Thank you for translating the percentages coz i get soooo confused when people say 2 percent this and 10 percent this coz am like....how do i measure a percentage...
I am visual e.g tea spoon, or something 🙂
not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of days :)
@Colin Niko yea, been using instaflixxer for since december myself :)
Love it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank u so much for the recipe. 🥰🙏
You awe awesome Jen! Thank you for this video.
Thank you for sharing, I like it.
Great recipe! I have made whipped body butter quite a few times but it seems like it hardens the next day. Any way to keep it at a "whipped" consistency after 24 hours or am I doing something wrong? Nicely done though!💖
The solid ingrediends are too many.I made one with 50% shea butter 25% coconot oil and the rest of it avocado jojoba olive oil.It stay smooth and it does not get hard.
kokum and cocoa butter would make your body butter hard so use one of them only or if you want to use both then less quantity of both and more shea butter and jojoba/almond/grapeseed oil will do the trick.
I need to make this again. Thanks for reminding me
Thank you for the recipe..I love it!!! You should also try the body butter from virginic..I have been using it for a while and its just wonderful!
Nice👍🏾
How do you figure out the measurements for the ingredients from grams or percentages.
I was wondering that 🤔
Thank you so much for the help
As a personal preference..I melt my butters using the double boiler method..
New to ur RUclips channel. I would love to make this
👍👍
Did you use all the butter I want it to not melt and which butter to use to not make it hard
What kind of natural preservative would you us to make it shelf stable? and if you used that ingredient how many months could you keep it on the shelf? Thanks you!
Optiphen plus i think
Can a preservative be used?? If the answer is yes, what is the name of the preservative that can be used?? Thank you
Hi, do you get air bubbles in your butter? If so, how do you get rid of them. Great video btw!
I love the FSU cup.... Thanks for the recipe, Jen. Should a preservative be added to body butters?
Il conservante si aggiunge solo se la ricetta contiene acqua, in questo caso ANiDRO solo grassi nn serve!

English please!
So this recipe made 8 4-5 oz jars?
Wow it never even dawned on me that I would need larger jars to get actual 8oz of product...learn something new everyday...never thought about how fluffy the product is it needs more room
Does it need preservatives?
It shouldn't because it doesn't contain water.
U said 9.4 Oz mango butter, the description says 4.80 mango 2.40 Kokum jenn I add it and that rials 16oz but 9.6 Oz was that your total u split b/w kokum and mango butter? Ty jenn I have a recipe but thought I’d try yours and would like to be sure ty
Hope this helps.

@@BeScentedSupply of course it helps my sweet friend ty
Lovely! Where could I find the jars?
How much body butter does this make? In ounces? It says 16oz in the description but that doesn’t make sense
Could you use colloidal oatmeal instead of arrowroot?
No, best to use some kind of starch or slick fix to get the butters to feel less greasy, oatmeal will not do that.
Can I use on my face ?
How do I get my body butter to be a pour like consistency into the jars?
What can I substitute for the mango butter due to allergy? Thank you
Audrey Ditty just don’t use it
Could I use both arrow root and tapioca or is that super unnecessary?
Is there a substitute that you could use besides the kokum butter?
Doesn’t corn starch dry your skin? I know that people with sweaty feet use corn starch to dry up the swear.
Is the avocado oil the kind you buy in the cooking section of the store ? Can you elaborate more on what types of products you use. Thank you~
Just remember one rule, if it is good enough to be in the body then it is good enough be on the body ;) I have been using the food grade one and never had any issue so go for it :)
Khokhar Fam thank you, I found a recipe that includes , but not limited to, sweet almond, coconut oil, olive oil, castor, and palm. I love the soap.
@@plurmingo1 castor oil for body butter? I haven't tried that, how do you like it, is it good? I use sweet almond, coconut, grapeseed and if it is for face then less coconut oil more meadowfoam seed oil.
Khokhar Fam not for body butter, for soap. I was inquiring about what type you were using, I have this thing about oils on my hands, I have to wash immediately. So I don’t want to make something that’s gonna feel oily that would defeat the purpose. 😉 but yes I live my soaps.
@@plurmingo1 aww I see... yeah I apply this rule on oils as well ;) Good luck
What size labels do you use for these jars?
Can I switch out coconut oil for another carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or grape seed oil?
Yes
Looks great! How would we make this if we don’t have a kitchen aid blender? The only thing remotely similar I have is my stick blender I use for soaping.
PrettyAliceMoon you can use a hand held beater, the one with two whippers
I use hand mixer. It works just as well, as long as you dont manually mixed it. Then, i'll say more grease to your elbows.
So 16oz of oils and butters made 8 8oz jars of body butter?
Yes, the whipping introduces air bubbles that increase the volume of the cream.
She actually made a double batch. Look at the video again and you would see that she is using double of what is listed. The whipping increases the volume but the weight would essentially be the same.
@@sparkle-annmorris6517 so essentially the measurements she listed would make 4 8oz jars?
Where did you purchase your jars please?
Why the corn starch?
Why are you using cornstarch?
The links for your groups are not working. Say page unavailable
What are the ounces or cup measurements? I can’t figure out percents. 🤦🏽♀️ 😂
The equivalent measures are just below that % list.
Example: 5% equals five grams
Ok I’m sure this is a dumb question but how do u measure the butter (Shea, cocoa, etc) In percentage %?? Why not say ounces? How do u know how much is 15%?
Having it in percentage form is the easier way to create and adjust a recipe, weather you make a 2 kg or 5kg batch you'll need 15% , so 15% of 2kg is 300g, and 15% of 5kg is 750g.... hope that helps
my body butter melted down perfectly, but then it didn't resolidify. what's wrong with it? 😭
Just need to keep putting it back in the fridge or freezer until it start to set back up so you can whip it.
Are you following the 16 ounces Recipe
I made some once was very soft and cream (white) but then turn yellowish like it wanted to melt I kept in refrigerator. Can you use a preservative to help it last longer? Thank you
Yes you can
What do you use body butter for?
Its used like a skin lotion
You can use it to moisturize your skin, or hair.
please why do you use corn starch
She said because it cuts down the greasindss of it, personally I like the greasindss feels more moisturizing
What can you sub the mango butter with in this recipe?
You can use more shea butter
@@lindatrucha Cool... I'm allergic to all things mango...
There are all kinds of Butters out there besides Mango. Just search for them
Why cornstarch
Cuts greasindss she said
Quanto è lungo sto video, ma potevi pesare prima tutti l'ingredienti e senza ripetere sempre ok ok ok, mamma mia, perdita di tempo, potresti avere più iscritti se ti organizzi meglio!!!!
Hello, have a question what is typically shelf life when making body butter? Thanks
Morning where did you get your thermometer
Do you do mystery boxes for body butter supplies?
