Some of the directors of Prisoner seem to be graduates from the Alfred Hitchcock School of Directing! Absolutely love the way the scenes were filmed. For all the glitches in the storylines / sets etc, the directing was pretty excellent in this series. Best series ever made!
I love how non of the sets of the prison make sense. You see people coming in to reception from behind that small screen/wall near the shower, when there is no door there. Even if there were two doors and one of them was near the shower block, they would still not walk all the way around the screen/wall into reception. This was also used as the main shower, when later on there is a shower block on the level of the cells. Walls move, gates vanish, there are windows in places that can't have windows, I love it :D
Meg has the same sofa and tablecloth as the prison. Leanne is wearing Jean's blouse she wore to work a few episodes back. Noleen is wearing the same socks in prison as the socks her daughter wears at Meg's place. They recycle... good for them lol.
+SoapsNthings - After all, the woman displays all the hallmarks of being a great mother! Right? She has every right to an abortion. It's better to abort than to keep it and neglect & abuse it. I'm surprised Erica & the Inspector are scratching their heads over whether Bella wore jewelry. Every prisoner's personal effects (including jewelry) are always catalogued after a new prisoner has their induction.
Yeap its funny how they miss little things! Like when bea shot her husband there wasn't never a trial on her but maybe since she admitted to it i suppose!
Yes but Bella was allowed to wear her own clothes and jewelry just as the others before her while being processed. When they get their uniform they catalogue their things. Lots of things are off I've noticed but it's a good show!
What amazes me is that Erica, fresh from being totally wrong about Karen telling everyone about Bella, throws Bea and Monica in the pound for killing her, also with no evidence whatsoever. I'd be so embarrassed I think I would resign. Wouldn't be able to look staff or prisoners in the eye.
I don't recall Martha being treated like the village idiot in her first episodes. She was actually asked to provide a service that would require some street smarts
I know she didn't say much in the earlier episodes, but it stands to reason she was smart and respected. Her IQ has dropped drastically within a couple of episodes.
