Thank you. Yes, the bitrate will increase and ProRes is an easy codec to work with if you have a Mac. It will give you more room to color grade footage, but if your output is for social networks only, the internal LogGOP codecs are good. Unless you already have the Atomos may be not worth it getting it since you do loose 6K Open Gate.
@@juliankrakow when you are recording c4k 50p to atomos ninja in prores al-i camera recording to memory card in this time too in longop? because i see that got the same videon on.memory card and if memory card full you cant record sinhronize to atom ninja
@@fofanfofan7602 Yeah, when you are recording at the same time externally and internally you will record prores to ninja and whatever log gop codec you choose in camera internally. As for synchronizing don't really know how it would work...
See this comment on reddit posted 1y ago posted under "Pairing Lumix S5 with Atomos Ninja V" topic : I've literally shot regular Prores 422 externally with the S5 and S1 multiple times, all you have to do is turn of HDMI RAW output and you'll record regular 4K Prores to the Ninja V. That's been an option for any camera as long as there's a clean HDMI output. My XT3 was never announced like they did for Sony cameras and yet I still shot Prores 422 on it multiple times on the Ninja V.

Hi, You can record 5.9k (16:9) with ProRes RAW upgrade but its not 6K open gate. Open gate is internal only. Yes, the regular ProRes is All-I codec. I don't use use any custom LUTs just grade it myself by hand, but I like "Nicest LUT" from Panasonic, it's free. Having problems with SD card sucks, so far I was lucky and didn't have any problems with my card.

Unfortunately the SSD recording is only on S5IIx and not supported on the regular S5II which I have.
Can you use PRORES RAW with the S5 II with atomos ninja V ?
Yes, but you have to pay Lumix for a RAW upgrade, if u have s5IIx it’s already installed
