Alex you're too kind, thank you! If in the future you have any other "to do" type things you need a hand with, please let me know and i'll make a video for it. Thank you again!
It figures that they require an odd size masonry bit. I have a 9 piece set that doesn't include 7/32 so I had to get one for this. Lol. Thanks for the great video.
You’re amazing, you can do this and so much more! If I can help in the future, with any projects, please email me and I’ll reply and make a video for it. Thank you so much! Justmaxdean@gmail.com Thank you again
Hi, I'm guessing that the back plate/ mounting plate was slightly angled? I'm puzzled as to why a similar back plate isn't available with zero degrees in order to make installation into brick that bit easier. It looks like a flush mount requires 4 holes to be drilled rather than only 2 as with the wedge or angle back plate.
I got lucky, I needed an angle for this install. It might say on the packaging if there is a different plate in the box… that’s a total guess and honestly sounds unlikely. Thank you for your comment.
If you have a wired Ring doorbell you have to remove the old one and use those wires. If you have a wireless Ring, you can find a nice place and mount it there.
The instructions say 7/32 but the bit was not included. To attach the base plate to the wall there are two holes, one inch slots. The four holes you see are to attach the device to the base plate.
Thinking back, I’m not sure the instructions called for the 7/32 bit. I think I may have had to figure it out myself. It could honestly vary a little as long as you can make it fit.
@@dry509 the base plate is plastic, so if you really want to anchor it down you could use 1/2 inch. The head would have to be pretty flat though. To fit the Ring itself. I’ve seen video of thieves pulling the doorbell right off the wall. A larger anchor might be better!
I love the music 🎶!! I kept expecting some comedy in this because of it. Probably would be a good safety thing for dopes 🤡 like me watching 👀 this to put a ⚠️warning ⚠️ reminder 🤔 to turn OFF the power 🔋 ⛔️💡⛔️ to existing doorbell at the breaker prior to beginning anything. 😬🤯☠️🪦👻
Thank you so much for this. After all of the videos I’ve watched on this, yours was the one I was looking for.
You’re too kind, thank you
Excellent video, i’m not the handy man type, and was able to install my ring thanks to this video!

I know that sucked! I had to do the same. Thank you
Excellent video. I feel much more confident. Thank you.

Do I have to remove my doorbell or I can just mount it on the wall?

Loved the video thanks for the help.
Great video. Was helpful :)
Do the instructions say 7/32. Thought the base plate had 4 holes? Only saw you drilling 2?

@@JustMaxDean Thanks for the info.
How snug were the anchors? It seemed like they went right in with no friction. Won't the doorbell fall out without some resistance?
They were in there pretty good. The video is a little deceiving. 🙂
Great video...was this hard wired...therefore the power for the bell running off the mains?? If so how long did installation take?? Thx
Thank you, you’re too kind. Yes it was hard wired and that’s your power. In total I’d say you can get it done in less that 30-45 minutes. 🙂
What kind of drill bit did you use?…
It’s a 7/32 masonry bit
@@JustMaxDean a normal drill bit won’t work. …?… I tried installing mine today with a gold drill bit but it barely dented the brick
@@williamjuarez6311 a masonry bit is required. A regular bit won’t dig in to the brick. The bit has a type of fin or blade at the tip to dig in.
Ring’s instructions says use a 1/4” masonry drill bit. I have the Ring 3 Plus. Is your drill bit instructions different?
Is this refurbished or brand new?
It was a new item. My first install of one of these suckas. 🙂
You look like Alton Brown the chef on the food network
I get Guy Fieri a lot. Thank you! 🥸
Way too much talking!🎤😂😂😂. Excellent Video!🤚🎥
I know, diarrhea mouth! 🥸
That’s Song is boring
I know!!! I wish I had more to choose from but idk where to get it.
biggest waste of time find a different video
