@casperblackcat1975 Yes. The original comment was clearly a lie. What was described is illegal. I'm not suggesting it doesn't happen, but it is fraud and criminal activity.
Hold the phone Pauline, the ndis participants are not wrongfully on there, it is not that easy to get on ndis. The problem is that they made it commercial. Providers seeking to make money by either forcing unnecessary supports or charging for them without even providing them is the problem. Furthermore ridiculously priced assistive technology because they know ndis will pay for it. Perfect example Vision Australia, $133 for braille snakes and ladders.
60 year old here, 40+ years of full time tax paying behind me. Now health issues are very much limiting the type of work I can do, but I don't see the Govt throwing any welfare money my way. I've been jumping through hoops for months, and yet to satisfy the demands made, and not seen a single cent. I'd love to get a job I can actually perform in now. They're thin on the ground too.
NDIS the gravy train is one big gravy boat, drive along Tweed Heads and look at all the NDIS outlets, have a look at all the NDIS walkers who simply have to wander along next to a claimant, the system is broken and yes I personally know a person who works for NDIS and the amount of money they get paid to stay overnight at a claimants house is simply unbelievable, taxpayers are funding a monster draining funds from where is should be directed.
Disability carers don’t get paid for the cruisey walks that your ignorant eyes happen to witness. They get paid for the inevitability of wiping a strangers ass and showering them whilst sometimes being verbally or physically abused. Also taking responsibility for everything that may go wrong with that person who they are helping. Most carers get paid the minimum award wage. If your friend is being paid more than $30/hr base rate(weekends are more) they are the exception to the majority of carers. And if you think $30/hr is swimming in riches, you have really been duped by the system

She is a hell of a lot happier than a lot of them I bet. No wonder the system is stuffed. This country can not afford such generosity!
It's so damn hard to get on NDIS. 🤦🏼♀️ It's hard to get the right amount of funding and not have to choose between therapists to see. I have a terminal child and we get barley enough funding by the time we pay each therapist there $193.99 an hour. These therapists and health care providers are the ones ripping NDIS off. Charging $193.99 for 50 minutes of therapy and Charging $193 to travel to a client. Or $1000 for a report. It's a joke! The way to fix it is cap the amount that can be charged to clients by half and NDIS / tax payers would save billions!
I mean my daughter single income one child oats almost now $100 to see a Dr her son anaphylaxis has to have two pens each yr justnin case $200 she has no help for any of that so bloody unfair.
It's the providers of services, managing fees ,exorbitant fees by professional therapists who charge 3x the normal amount for therapies just because of the "NDIS" label, and those with disabilities who genuinely need some extra financial assistance don't get it /they don't "qualify " for the NDIS... Its a scheme that only benefits some individuals there are thousands of people with a disability that don't get it...where is the much needed assistance for those individuals?
@Joy Williams single mum to 3 children over here on single income, and it costs me $80 a child/ myself to see a doctor too. We all foot the bill in one way or another, it's not just poor you. NDIS would save alot of money if the health care professionals such as physiotherapists weren't getting paid almost $200 for not even 1 hour of work. Or charging $1000 just to write a report. The problem is the providers, not the people on NDIS.
Very true, I personally know a bloke who is getting the NDIS for a bad back and yet he runs a firewood business during winter and a lawn mowing business during summer and has been doing it for many years, it's a bloody joke.
I promised myself during school that I would never take welfare. 35 years down the track, I have kept that promise through a mix of hard work and fortune. During this time, I've watched most of my fellow citizens grab everything they can from various governments. All I can say is that this is short-term gain for long-term pain.
Good for you Micheal l guess you are lucky then that you didn’t have disabled children you had to give up work for or you haven’t had debilitating health issues. And btw you do receive welfare through services like hospitals etc. Lots of people work hard and still live in poverty so get down off your moral high horse.
I an MS (primary progressive) and the NDIS has made a hell of a difference to my life ..... but yes, it is being rorted and not least by the mates of the government (both sides) who head the big companies providing services. Before you demonize me, perhaps you both should talk AFTER you get a serious incurable illness. oh .... and you both need a lesson in economics .... the government is nothing like a household budget
The Ndis has a lot to answer for especially for public servants who get accused of something from a past relationship where police drop charges through the proper channels. They run their own KANGAROO COURT destroying lives of those actually contributing to society.
Our kids aren't keeping up with the other kids at school, we better claim that they are autistic so that we can get NDIS workers to come out and keep them company while they are playing video games.
I think PH is right. One of the reasons prices are so high is because of people claiming welfare who shouldn't. Everyone has to pay for this - it is not free. Sadly, while ever we vote for either the government (ALP) or the opposition (LNP) this will not change. I think both rely too much on academics without listening to real people. A good start would be to audit ALL government departments with a view to cut waste.
As a NDIS participant the wastage Is mind blowing a 800mm aluminium ramp for my wheelchair on eBay is $250 same one through the NDIS is $799 and a toilet seat on eBay is $70 NDIS $190... HOW..
I can’t agree with you, Pauline on the professional rates..some psychologists are charging $200 plus privately.. and you can’t forget the overheads that psychologists and social workers have in private practice!!
My last NDIS plan gave itself nearly $10,000 for running costs, such as a “plan manager”. I don’t see a cent of that. My actual support I’d get was only $12,000 and they cut my support worker hours. I’ve ended up in the psych ward because of the lack of support. My hearing aids were poo quality back when I got them 5 years ago, and they’re basically useless now. I rely on lip reading and sign language….which I had to learn myself from RUclips and other members of the Deaf community.
Yes having been left after my wife died a ten thousand dollar bed and anti bed sore mattress plus oxygen unit ,multiple chairs, they did not want them back . All up about 12.000 dollars and I am just one, times that by hundreds each year.
I handed out how to vote cards, at the last QLD state election, in FNQ. Indig people told me that the CFMEU, who man the Labor stand, handing out how to vote cards, travel around Indig communities, telling them that "if you don't vote Labor, you'll have your benefits stopped". This is third world behaviour.
It's not only the NDIS which is a rort. An even bigger rort is the provision of services to aged people in their homes. They are expected to sign for jobs which cost enormous amounts. Any complaint is met with indifference and the retort that the government is paying! Look into it.
Those jobs you talk about might well still be there, but the real rort is you have to sign up with an employment service agent. Those employment service agencies are the worst.
Not only that employers are far less inclined to hire people with disabilities & If you have a disability & chronic health conditions then your chance at gaining employment is zero.
Umm.. I’m scared.. I need NDIS.. I only just got on it last year in November. I really need it.. I don’t understand.. I don’t understand.. Edit: ok I’m sorry for the comment, my parent told me that Pauline Hanson is and I quote “a load of crap” and that “I shouldn’t listen to a word she says”. It’s just recently I have been researching things about NDIS and I really should stop researching and overthinking and over analysing things because that only makes me go into a spiral. A spiral of negative thoughts and intrusive thoughts, and none of it is good because then I have a panic attack. I am autistic, I also am co-morbid ADHDer and I also have anxiety disorder, also with other mental health disorders. So I am liable to overthink and overthink and over analysing upon over analyse… until I explode with panic attacks and/or self harming but that can be rare to happen (sometimes).
Pauline is very right. Government is creating more reliance by handing out the monies. It is not doing any good for people to get out of the spiral and be an independent citizen contributing to the society.
Not that easy contributing to society is all about getting a job not that easy If you have a disability & the employment agencies do absolutely nothing.
I'm on the NDIS and Pauline is right. I need a cleaner to help out . They come every fortnight and they stand around hiding in the bathroom and do nothing for at least 10 minutes. It's also is just one group racial group the does it. Iv'e had to sack three cleaning companies because the are scammers. Iv'e had at least 8 different cleaning companies. The three I sacked and the others who quit because they didn't want to get the covid vaccine but the ones who quit were really good but lost their jobs because their bosses were nut jobs.. They came from all over the world. The middle east, south america, Asia. all were good except the scammers.
The worst part is that the NDIS is unsustainable at current ridiculous rates being paid to service providers, those of us who know we will require life long care are fearful of the future. Why can’t pay rates be in line with a reasonable award.
I was a carer as a teen and did it because I wanted to help people, now people are becoming carers because of the money, which equals a lot of uncaring “carers”
How much is Pauline making as a politician? She is a generalisation Queen. The Government is there to help and support the people. Complain about the billions on stupid Submarines. Or Politician pensions. Privatizing utilities. NDIS is a Godsend. The NDIS sets payment rates. They should adjust them if it is wrong. It is not a rort because it is legal. But the amounts paid needs to be more reasonable.
It is a good social project, but as always, Labour stuffed it up,as they do with everything. The same will happen the voice - take time and do it right.
Need to tighten up on both NDIS and social welfare, majority of money the government borrows money from overseas and then also taxes from middle to high income earners, I paid over $32000 in tax last year under a LNP government l, god knows what I’ll pay with Jimbo’s budget this year and I earn to much money I can’t even get the family tax benefit. Quite frankly it doesn’t matter what party is in government, it continues to screw over middle income earners.
The NDIS is like all Labor Government schemes introduced without proper accessment and cost's runaway. Private companies delivering and ripping the NDIS off ie: us taxpayers.
Only the tax payer should vote, not pensioners, unemployed, new Australians for 10 years. political donation must stop as the lobbyist must be stopped. bring back conflict of interest for politicians and their families.
Been saying this for years. Should work on a system of debits and credits. If the net value of gov services and subsidies and payments is greater then the tax you paid in the 4 years prior to election, you don't get to vote. 'All people who are reliant on gov handouts vote for, is more freebies for themselves. No other issue matters more to them. The gov can thus buy votes by promising to steal from productive people to give to people who only consume without producing. Eventually nobody will want to produce

What has been written out of the whole welfare system, is consequences for really bad decisions that people make. All rights in our society and no responsibilities.
I'm in agreement with you about the NDIS, Pauline. It IS an absolute scam. I knew from the start it wouldn't work.
The ndis does work tho
I know people that love it lots of benifits they love it jyst love it pay for very little. One I know is allowed $65,000 per yr for all sorts of goodies and I know more than one. Consider how many of them there are and the rorters trying to get it. Free gophers for some it's their first car irs a load crap.
Time for it to go. One child allotted 68,000per yr and he's not the only one. My grandsons allotted nothing and their parents have to pay for everything and then hope they get jobs. Ndis kids have to achieve nothing and paid for all their lives. Where does it end. Nappies paid for at eight yr old we paid for the napped for our kids. One kid whu has to be carefull of his diet he can't eat certain foods so ndis give him a fortune so mummy doesn't buy the food at the supermarket not special food just ordinary food. These parents need to keep their kids
@@joywilliams8444 lol the funding is based on the needs of the child.
@@jackD9643 I happen to know a few and that's bullshit. I see what's going on.
It is an absolute scam!!! The people who need it most don’t get what they need while others get everything they don’t need!.. life isn’t about getting everything ya need, if it was I’d have my hand out getting it all
My niece is in Queensland with her slightly autistic son , enjoying the various "Worlds" , courtesy of the taxpayer . Airfare hotels and entry , taxis etc - all free for her ! Disgraceful, and the pollies must know it but don't care !
Completely false. Provide you nieces details, as the NDIS doesn’t pay for airfares or hotels. There is a mobility allowance that will subsidise taxi travel. You are deliberately distorting and giving false information. Caught in an obvious lie either put up or shut up. If your niece is using NDIS funds for hotel accommodation that is illegal. Give me her details and I will report her to the NDIS fraud taskforce. You won’t because you made this story up.
Needs reporting in that case. In general Ndis pays $60 a fortnight for travel to medical disability related tasks.
@@pwillis1589 gfy
@@pwillis1589 Exactly when I went to visit family Interstate, I paid for my own air fairs & a support worker drove me to the airport.
@casperblackcat1975 Yes. The original comment was clearly a lie. What was described is illegal. I'm not suggesting it doesn't happen, but it is fraud and criminal activity.
Labor always love a good scam. Not surprising.
Was destined to be so right from its inception.
Designed to be so even.
You mean so LEFT
Well said
NDIS is BS. Get rid of ot!
@@MrBrandonLau They get paid approx $128 per hour if they stay overnight, if you don't enjoy the gravy train then get off it, I was an emergency worker for over 30 years, as I told others if you don't like it leave
I totally agree with you Pauline Hanson on NDIS and the rorts. Oh and Thank you Pauline for stating that Susan Ley is too lazy 😂 priceless
I know of someone with a cognitive impairment on a $200000 a year package...ridiculous. Add to that her pension and medication. She is a happy woman most of the time and also has secure housing and a supportive family. The amount she gets is equivalent to pensions of 10 single people. She is a hell of a lot happier than a lot of them I bet. No wonder the system is stuffed. This country can not afford such generosity!
You are spot on Pauline ,it’s fun spending other people’s money!
It's so damn hard to get on NDIS. 🤦🏼♀️
It's hard to get the right amount of funding and not have to choose between therapists to see.
I'm sorry for your child vutvwhen did it become my daughter's problem
Why stop her talking about something important to show a stupid cartoon I don’t get these media programs
Somehow these people on these massive schemes have a better life than me and my wife who both work full time !!!
Thank you Pauline
Very true, I personally know a bloke who is getting the NDIS for a bad back and yet he runs a firewood business during winter and a lawn mowing business during summer and has been doing it for many years, it's a bloody joke.
Yeah I know someone who has never worked from o e welfare to another now wants ndis
I promised myself during school that I would never take welfare. 35 years down the track, I have kept that promise through a mix of hard work and fortune. During this time, I've watched most of my fellow citizens grab everything they can from various governments. All I can say is that this is short-term gain for long-term pain.
That comment would make the slightest bit of sense if the NDIS was about taking welfare. Tell me what is the “I” in NDIS stand for?
Have You Heard of Happy Slave Syndrome?
Good for you Micheal l guess you are lucky then that you didn’t have disabled children you had to give up work for or you haven’t had debilitating health issues. And btw you do receive welfare through services like hospitals etc. Lots of people work hard and still live in poverty so get down off your moral high horse.
Every cent you can squeeze out of these bastards is a cent you didn't have to work for. The old you will thank the young you. Or would have done.
So true
Spot on Pauline! Atleast someone dares to show the mirror.
What about the companies screaming for workers?
Pauline is dead right.
Grow up you pos
HOW..
PAULINE DOES NOT HANG BACK.
Genius Pauline.
Thanks for the Comedy.
Humour hits the Truth.
I can’t agree with you, Pauline on the professional rates..some psychologists are charging $200 plus privately.. and you can’t forget the overheads that psychologists and social workers have in private practice!!
Yep! It’s just another I’ll thought out Labor policy
Get Julia Gillard to explain, it was her baby. How to send a country broke.
TAX Overseas Gas corporation's
STOP importing our own GAS
Coal mine closure is "disappointing"??? You mean OUTRAGEOUS, don't you, Peter?!?!
Absolutely true
🎯👏👏👏👏👏👏Common sense.
Great idea, lets cancel the revenue generating businesses in this country, whilst the NDIS racks up a huge bill every year. This government is a joke.
Saw the headline! I agree it’s a scam!
The government control it's spending, my goodness, Pauline Hanson is such a radical.
It is a good social project, but as always, Labour stuffed it up,as they do with everything. The same will happen the voice - take time and do it right.
If pauline think that living on just over $400 a week is a lifestyle, then she's seriously deluded.
As soon as i knew who was running the show i knew it wouldnt work. The Bill Australia cant afford to have
The NDIS is like all Labor Government schemes introduced without proper accessment and cost's runaway. Private companies delivering and ripping the NDIS off ie: us taxpayers.
I rarely agree with PH, but I do on this occasion
She'd know, her party is a scam
Everyone should have the right to vote just because you are a taxpayer doesn't make you better than others.
@@casperblackcat1975 Yes it does. Some pay others just put their hand out.
Thats why there are nice countries like in South East Asia where greed and corruption are much lower than here in Ozzieland😁😁😁
Pauline if it wasn't for the NDIS I wouldn't be able 2 get help every 2nd o 3rd day 2 help me with every day living get a grip
Exactly thanks to NDIS I'm getting the help I need to stay independent In the home the NDIS was about giving people with disabilities choice In how they wanted to live their lives.
