I was in Tver in 2003 and again in 2004. I felt very welcome by the people and loved the city. I took a boat ride down Volga River for 2 hours with a young lady. I think it cost $7 for both of us. Very different from my home state of Alabama.

It insignificant money for Russian economy, and could be good for future tourism of this city. Sadly city authorities doesn't understand what benefits can bring to its city of restoration of all old building.
