And it's not necessarily a bad ending if the Spanish Crown was successfully convinced by Jose Rizal to reform the corrupt Spanish officials who were thrown to govern these far-flung colonies. My two (or three) cents: (spoilers!)
Ending 1: We basically have this already (ish)
Ending 2: rockier relations with Malaysia
Ending 3: that's def a superpower
Ending 4: they might actually keep a hold to it until WW2, if Japan decides to invade an Axis member, drastically changing Spanish history. Even if Spain doesnt get involved in WW2, the PH would still be decolonized given UN's general status quo, which might make PH in a worser state much more similar to Equatorial Guinea
Ending 5: this dream would be immediately crashed by the US and ASEAN (South East Asia would rather fight amongst themselves on the status of the islands in South China Sea than hand it over to China)
Ending 6: whether they can survive WW2 or not depends about Japan's plans. Most likely scenario would be just like Thailand in the same era (they could be close given the fact that they would be the only indeoendent nations in SEA at the time), both could join Japan's side, but whether or not PH would be occupied by the US is yet anogher can of worms. It could go well like West Germany and Japan, or they might just have to figure out everything on their own, like South Korea
Ending 7: likely scenario in an Axis victory
Ending 8: whether or not this will last depends on how Britain handles Brunei, and if they somehow remain independent, depends of Japan in WW2
Ending 9: they'd be a strong nationalistic country I must say, but very different to the westerneque PH we see today (also WW2 might change things)
Ending 10: would drastically differ the islands' role in protecting other religions (WW2 might still change things - this is kind of a common theme since Japan is largely unaffected in PH scenarios)
Ending 11: might actually end up like Malaysia, with a higher GDP per capita than the SEA average
Ending 12: will def be better off frankly (no offense) even how much variation is there in each of the states' living standards, but would still have that flawed democracy, much like the modern PH and US governments (basically how US government does things very differently compared to other democracies)
Ending 13: no wonder why this is ending 13, we are also already back into this scenario, this is not a good human rights and democract record
Ending 14: keeping it would be Mexico's biggest challenge. Standard of living not too different from today's standards.
Ending 15: thats def gonna change the balance if power with PH outright against the US. Would likely increase ideology-related-rebellions across SEA and would validate Burma and Indochina
Ending 16: either way, he lost everything. But whether or not PH would stay alongside Spain is another can of worms. Higher chance of wanting independence, I must say
