Tarik really is one of kind. Its so clear how he just has a love for the game. It's almost as if that bigger number better person vibe means nothing to him (i.e. ranking, etc.) he just loves to play the game
Love Ludwig talking about his goal-oriented mindset being challenged a bit by the sports psychologist. I always admired that goal setting of his so its neat to see him still growing it and reflecting on it

As someone from Massachusetts who attended the major, it is still one of the best days of my life lol. It meant so much to me to finally see an NA team win on home soil too.
My guess would be: Slime has tried it and it didn't stick, Aiden has considered it but never tried it, Ludwig has never thought about it and refuses to, and dark horse pick, Nick journals daily.
@@miskathonicI agree either Ludwig hasn't tried it and has some convoluted reason why he won't OR it's the complete opposite and he just springs it on us that he does it frequently even though he's never mentioned it once. And it's some silly Ludwig way like "every time I bench I close my eyes and focus on just my breath for 5 minutes" lmao
My dad and I watch every RLCS weekend together :) as a 57 year old man this year, he happily brags that rocket league championship series is his "favorite professional sports broadcast" to all of his peers
As an Ironman finisher - I worry that Ludwig is severely underestimating an Ironman. 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, 26.2 miles of running. I was a Boston Marathon qualifying runner before training for my Ironman, and I still found the training to be really hard. The fitness jump from where you are now to completing an Ironman is massive. If you’re willing to commit to it, it’ll mean hours of training every day for hopefully at least a year(especially if you’re new to swimming and biking long distances). Do your marathon, and evaluate from there! Enjoy each fitness milestone as you hit them, you don’t need to already be thinking about what’s next after it. Best of luck to you!
Ludwig getting constantly interrupted or derailed this week is so much funnier than normal. He just wants to hang with Tarik, and he's trying SO hard to reel the conversation back into whatever they were talking about.
I'm not gonna lie, I've never followed CS or Valorant so I had never heard of Tarik or had any idea who he was until Ludwig started talking about him on The Yard and his own channel. But man he was a great guest, I really enjoyed this episode Also, his incredibly earnest and genuine "how does that feel?" as Aiden talked about losing over and over was so goddamn funny man

as a brazillian I have so much to say: "gira🌪" is a reference to a caster line to a aspas moment in valorant where he spins as jett to dodge the bulelts (pronounced like gira in giratina) vampeta is the guy you guys were talking and the photo is from a pron shoot
I’m normally an audio listener but I came here to watch the Hank Green episode (I’m one of the 17 overlapping people) and I just now realized that it comes out early on Spotify? Damn

I agree with Nick! I work in culinary and I hate gold in food. Most of the time it’s just a gimmick to upcharge meh items. Occasionally I do see the aesthetic or like the smallest gold flake on a chocolate tart or something but even then. A lot of places it feels so unnecessary

The balloon animation was 👌🏻👌🏻 1:01:18
I'm surprised they waited until the very end to bring up how Tarik smiles like his mom forced him to.
I would have hoped that’s the first thing they confront him with.
Like in the middle of his videos where it plays a video of him held at gunpoint telling us to subscribe as he appreciates the support

I havent seen Tariq since 2016 and he's much more well spoken than what i remember. Great guy and ep
Tarik's little send off at the end was so cute.
Wow can't believe they had the world champion that won the major on episode one hundred and thirty one of The Yard podcast 👍
I really wish they stuck with Tarik's idea for a topic about meditation and yoga at 22:24, I'd love to hear what the guys think about that stuff

I'm so happy seeing Tarik on this podcast duuude that was a great episode! Tarik just have a great personality and it combines so well with The Bois

was a tarik fan since he was on optic (and became my savior after boston major) and ludwig fan when he liked melee. this is a wild crossover
Tarik is chill with it. If he did more slop content I'd check it out.
Good yarbin'
Yayyyy Tarik, he’s always vibed as cool and genuine to me, what little I’ve see of him I’ve liked 🥰
Tarik's outro is going to be a strong contender for funniest clip of 2024
Didn't see it yet but I wonder if it's funnier than the minecraft episode
I've never watched Tarik before, but this was a great episode! Would love to see him on the pod again
Tarik is such a great person
What a sweet guy! I’ve never consumed any Tarik content but he seems like the actual antithesis of a professional gamer that I’d imagined lol
as a yard and tarik viewer this is now my roman empire
the boston major is my roman empire

Tarik is such a legend. Great guest and great episode as always🔥
No low taper fade talk is actually crazy for an episode like this
