- Approximately 30 miles southeast of the Chicago Loop in the small town of Munster, Indiana, lies 3 Floyds, one of the most well-respected breweries in the world. At the helm is owner Nick Floyd, who has helped craft the brewery's completely unique image... and its beers. Before 3 Floyds came along, craft beer brand image was usually synonymous with trees, fairies, and the like, but 3 Floyds injected some darkness and heavy metal into the scene. With head brewer Chris Boggess now helping Nick run the show, the brewery has expanded to include a distillery and even a hops field. Enjoy this inside look at one of the most revered breweries in the game.

Not that it matters, because this is just another crazy US brewer who is overcompensating for the light beer "culture", making for awful beers on the other side of the extreme spectrum.
+Diggnuts than those people with severe gluten allergies can go buy their gluten free beers elsewhere. It's his business, he will make what he wants and what will ultimately sell. It's a little arrogant but when you are making "awesome" beer, why wouldn't you?

+Diggnuts After trying pretty much over a thousand different craft beers over the last 5-6 years I have figured out one thing, after a while, it gets old, especially when they are so expensive, and really make people pack on the pounds with the amount of sugar in those beers. It's funny, many "craft ales" are pure shit, meanwhile people will call commercial beer "crappy beer" simply because they owned by big corporations, which is sad because literally everyone, especially hipsters, consume and spend like crazy, so they think buying craft beer is changing the world?! WTF!?!?!? Fake ass hippies these beer snobs. On a hot ass day, the last thing I want is some dark and bitter beer that has the same amount of calories as a chocolate bar. I'll drink a 40 of Olde English 800 along with a Lagunitas Hop Stupid, beer snobs must DIE!

These dudes are the best, I once picked up a 6 pack of gumball head that went bad somehow, and they over nighted a 6 pack of fresh gumball head the very next day when i wrote a email to them. Awesome customer service and great selection of beers. Their Chicagos best brewery and theyre not even located in the same state let alone city.

Honestly the most memorable time I’ve ever had at a brewery. I remember the bartenders were laid back and not cocky which is always a huge plus. They were playing records that seemed to fit their mood and how busy it was on that rainy humid day. When I entered at open they were playing Didjits Hey Judester and then switched to the Fela Kuti Zombie EP.
Hell yeah. These guys make such good brews. Nice to see fellow Indiana folks on Munchies! Lucky I always have access to their beer. :D Have yet to check out their brewpub, though!

Can't have enough metal heads making beer. I approve of this type of activity. The distillery by these guys will be amazing. I haven't tried a sour beer yet. Haven't ran across any at my neighborhood narcoleptic geriatric bar.

Kick ass. If I lived in Indiana I'd sneak into that brewery, get noticed, and work hard to climb the ladder to eventually be a trusted lieutenant in that organization.
This brand may be the only thing keeping me in Indy at this point. Every beer I've tried from them has been excellent.

Fuck yeah. I'm from Toronto, Ontario and was just in Chicago for a few days; saw some 3 Floyds bottles for the first time and was blown away. So creative and awesome. Didn't get to try any, unfortunately because the place I was shopping was kind of shitty and most of the bottles were out of date, so I didn't want to get a poor first impression. Can't wait to go back and try some soon, though! I really admire these folks.

I don't even drink beer but a quick google search of their big names that they mentioned here shows that they have been getting great reviews for years, so they obviously do something right. Vice/muchies viewers are such contentious pricks.
+ii Smack it went over your head, coors light shouldn't be allowed in the building. They claim to love craft beer and make amazing craft beer. While coors light is considered shitty cheap beer by anyone, it's common knowledge. If it's a coors that part of the staff was drinking or one of their friends then that does mean they allow low quality beer in a high quality brewery and somebody there preferred coors to their beer which is hilarious. They would've moved that beer out of shot if they realized. I think they like coors and whiskey and getting wasted more than their personal line.

I'm sure if they had noticed it they would have preferred the colors can to not be in the shot at all. it was definitely an overlook.

While your point about them most likely not wanting it in the shot is true, you're still a prick for claiming that it shouldn't be "allowed" in the building and saying they lose credibility for even having it there. I doubt a craft brewer is drinking it and so should you. But you're a prick and assume they're putting up some sort of facade??? How contrived.
