i noticed that edwin didnt blink a single time while the family was being slaughtered in the haunted house and i absolutely loved those small details, i really hope the show gets renewed!
As a bi woman who fell for her best friend, the scene on the stairs made me really feel seen. I just wanted to hug Edwin so bad in that moment 🥺 It healed my inner child a bit. I am so hoping for a S2, I really want to see how their relationship continues.
That scene was a page out of my life. Maybe in every LGBT person’s life!? I mean, not *everyone* comes out to their straight best friend and loves them like that, but it’s very common. It was amazing to see on screen. George’s acting was fantastic, and their love feels so real 😭 I also especially appreciate, like George says, that the emphasis was on his unrequited feelings, their genuine love for each other, and not some hypersexualized thing that we’ve seen time and time again in media. Love wins!!
George is a great actor, Edwin is a complex, layered character and so central to the story. It is a humane, nuanced, complex and truly believable portrayal, 👏🙏❤
After all the mainstream actors who don’t care about the source material, it’s a nice breathe of fresh air to see this guy who did so much work in one of his first role. Really hoping that gets a second 2.
This is an INCREDIBLE INTERVIEW. SO MUCH DEEPER than normal interviews that are just promotion. This felt like a deep dive. Most interviews are like when stars make appearance on late night talk shows - which I find so dull. Thank you for the really deep and thoughtful questions.
George is such a sweetheart ;_; the way he talks about Edwin and all those details about this character melts my heart fingers crossed for a season 2!!!
This is such a great interview. I could listen to George Rexstrew talk about Edwin forever. I love his interpretation of the character and how much he really looked at the comics to base him from
This is one of the very best interviews I have seen with an actor from a popular series, from both the interviewer‘s side and from the actor. Thoughtful questions, thoughtful answers, wonderful pacing (none of the hectic jumping right into the next question before the person has answered the last one completely in the mistaken opinion that this is „fast-paced“). Congratulations to everyone involved.
i find it FASCINATING they consdered dying his hair blonde, because I admit i was a little disappointed to loose canon blond edwin only to find WOW that doesnt matter George is an amazing actor i cannot imagine ANYONE else in the part now. But... i would still be curious about a photoshop blonde edwin
Excellent interview. Inteligent and sensitive guy--and portrays Edwin extremely well. I binged the first season, and it was great. Was unsure during the first episode, but I ended up enjoying it a LOT.
Yeah, I started watching it because a friend told me it was a lot like Lockwood & Co. So, I was expecting a lot of mystery and unanswered questions, which I love, but then they immediately started explaining every single detail in the world's mechanics. I was honestly disappointed, but figured I would watch the next episode just to make sure, and boy am I glad that I did!!! I actually really came to love how they explained the physical rules of everything since it made it easier to focus on the complex emotional journey. It really was a genius move because of how much deeper the characters turned out to be. I wound up watching the whole season in 3 days because of how good it was! I really love the way that Charles and Edwin take care of each other and honestly function like an old married couple that are somehow still in the honeymoon phase. It's this beautiful mix of friendship, child-like puppy love, and a very mature solid love that comes from a place of understanding, patience, and respect for each other. This show was so good and deffinatly worth the rewatch! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was a bit iffy at first though. (sorry, this turned into an essay 😅)
oh you made such great questions! George is an amazing professional, it's actually hard to believe this was his first experience on TV. I was really caught up by this show and seeing that the whole cast is so thoughtful of their characters and the story they are telling is just so fulfilling 💗 #deadboydetectives
This is such an excellent interivew. I was very impressed with Rexstrew's performance as Edwin, and you can tell he's put a lot of thought into the character.
wonderful interview, great questions, and i really loved his insight into everything. the bits about him being like "no, we would just walk through the door!" were TOO good :D
Love the way you let him talk and always have a fitting respond to what was said :) most interviewers just skip to the next question but you created a very nice comfortable flow
Such a great interview, thank you! I really love the show and I hope it gets at least a second season. I didn't know much about George before and I love how thoughtful his answers are. It's so nice to see how much he cares about the character he plays and the story, I can't imagine a better Edwin ❤
hiii brazillian fan pop up here, and i really need to say how i loved the questions pointed by the interviewer they are soo profund and deeply, and what the fans really wants to know about the character
This interview is amazing! Love the questions and George is so well-spoken and you can tell he devoted a lot of time and care and effort into playing Edwin. Thank you for this!
I love this show! It clips along so fast, there's no time for anyone to get bored. Nice balance between manic and good story telling. My mate has a short attention span, and this is his jam - he pays attention so well. Usually I must amuse him with 20min animes; this show is a welcome diversion for us both. Thank you! PLEASE NETFLIX make an S2!!!!!!!
Can't believe this kid is fresh from acting school. He gave an amazing performance.
He is very similar to Joe Locke from Heartstopper - both launched their TV career with a Netflix show and both are just superb
We're excited to see everything he goes on to do next!
RIGHT??!!!! he SERVED ALL THE DAMN TIME!!!
fr!!!
Right?!? He was amazing!

how can one guy brand new to on screen acting who i dont even know and will probably never meet make me so happy

Thank you so much Michael!
He is such a talented actor, can't believe this is his first role. Can't wait to see him in more stuff :) Fingers crossed for season 2
He is a really good performer, his chemistry with all characters is brilliant, i really love the show, would love a season 2
True I live for this show I would absolutely LOVE a season 2.
If Netflix doesn't renew DBD , We are going to have words! Love the show and George & Jayden. Great chemistry.

But black hair and pale skin with green eyes is such a stunning look🤩
Excellent interview. Inteligent and sensitive guy--and portrays Edwin extremely well. I binged the first season, and it was great. Was unsure during the first episode, but I ended up enjoying it a LOT.
Thank you so much for watchin! Agree the show is GREAT!
I watched some of the first episode and unfairly judged it but once I actually watched it I retraced my statement and loved it sooooo much.

@@lynnjohnson9727 Very disappointed that it was cancelled. 😞

Thank you so much! And totally agree, incredible for it being his first role leading a show!
this interview feels more like a conversation between friends than a actual interview, i love it
This is such an excellent interivew. I was very impressed with Rexstrew's performance as Edwin, and you can tell he's put a lot of thought into the character.
wonderful interview, great questions, and i really loved his insight into everything. the bits about him being like "no, we would just walk through the door!" were TOO good :D
Exactly why he was the perfect person to play Edwin!
Love the way you let him talk and always have a fitting respond to what was said :) most interviewers just skip to the next question but you created a very nice comfortable flow
Yay, thank you so much for saying this!🥰
George rextrew is so, so talented! I can’t wait to see him partake in future shows and projects ❤️😭
Lovely interview, he seems like such a genuinely good and kind person
I love how much thought he put into this role and that he relied a lot on the source material of the comics to help develop his character.
Such a great interview, thank you! I really love the show and I hope it gets at least a second season. I didn't know much about George before and I love how thoughtful his answers are. It's so nice to see how much he cares about the character he plays and the story, I can't imagine a better Edwin ❤
We're crossing our fingers for a season 2 as well 🤞

What an impressive thought out interview from impressive thought out people
Aww he’s such a sweetheart!
Love this interview I feel like you asked great questions and got great answers!
Thank you so much! 😊
An amazing performance, made even more so when you find out he is straight out of acting school.
Seriously I admire George's work so much, he did amazing! ❤
This interview is amazing! Love the questions and George is so well-spoken and you can tell he devoted a lot of time and care and effort into playing Edwin. Thank you for this!
Great interview/questions and a really nice guy! Hopefully we get a second season! 🤞
Great interview!!
Amaizing interview and such good answers. That's dedication we all should strive to have❤. I'll really die a bit inside if this doesn't get a sezon 2.
Great interview
According to the show, ghosts can touch but can't feel what they touch or, presumably, feel being touched.
Loved this interview!
Really great series - I hope it doesn’t get Netflicked
Such a shame this show got canceled so quickly by Netflix.
Blond hair would look very unnatural on him.
His nose seems to veer off slightly to the right. Was his nose broken or did it just grow that way? This kind of asymmetry is not so uncommon.
Why do brits say ummmm a lot?
I love this show!
