The guy who breed the Carolina reaper and pepper X chilli peppers (Ed Currie) is hardcore wouldn't want to face him in a chilli eating contest that's for sure 🤣 I love my hot food but there's definitely that limit when its no longer enjoyable.

You are probably correct, Simon that the Reaper curry had more actual chilli in the overall product making the perceived heat higher, even in just a couple of bites.The amount of Pepper X powder is way down the list of ingredients. Part of the reason for hotter chillies is you need less for any desired heat level in the end dish. Of course it's marketing hype to include some of 'the worlds hottest chilli' in the product. Doesn't make it the worlds hottest masala though.
Bought 3 of these last night and had one. Fair play, its got a fair bit of heat, and I'm very much into all the stupid hot stuff. Usually these types of products from the supermarket turn out to be a disappointment, but I was pleasantly surprised with the heat on this one. Well, you did have TWO half spoonful's of chicken with a bit of sauce on in between stalling with all your talking about the Carolina Reaper, so well done on that! 😜

I loved your Morrisons ready meal video from a few years back, my girlfriend and I were rolling around in hysterics watching that one. I work there and had it for my lunch break a couple of times, but I don't eat meat these days so going to have to try the Mac n' Cheese one from Iceland.
Pepper X is a bit of a misnomer because it's not the actual chilli in the food but the inclusion of Pepper X sauce, so even though it might be really hot, the same could be said if it had any sort of hot chilli sauce added. It's basically marketing hype.

Add some rice and you have enough for two meals. Too bad it seems too hot to really enjoy. I'm used to a bit of heat, but occasionally I meet a curry that is just too hot for me to enjoy.

On the subject of Iceland curry`s in general I think their luxury range including Makhani & in particular the Balti are outstanding for both authenticity & value to the point where I don`t eat out so much, they`re that good.
