There may be moments where Rob questions how strong the gig really is , , , , moments where he does an excellent 👌 rendition of one of the "Jason Era" hits perfectly and suddenly gets flak from James over it , , , but Everytime Robert nails a Cliff Burton era song they practically drool over Rob like he is gold or something , , , , now James narcissistic ways aside for the moment , , ,Lars has made it abundantly clear that Rob is to feel welcome in the band at all times , , , , believe it or not Lars truly misses Jason , , and does hold James to blame for that whole scenario , , ,😮😂🎉

@@33cattt49weird...cause I like all of their music...probably because I just enjoy music...and I understand that a band will change over time.
My favorite album is justice. But nothing makes me want to smash someone's face as much as the sad but true riff. It's heavy, it's beefy, it's thick, and it's aggressive. It doesn't have to be fast to be heavy, sometimes it just needs to be "sludge". And the black album did that perfectly.
A real fan will support the first 4 albums, and the black album, along with load, and reload, and st anger.
A really real fan listens to lulu......I am not that fan.
The balck album is a heavy thick sludgey album because that's what they wanted it to be...and they achieved that. And it does have good songs on it. No matter what the snobs say.

James' bottled frustration communicated through subtle comments and uncomfortable chuckles, Kirk looking at James knowing what he really means to say, James playing guitar over Rob when Rob tries to talk into the mic. James only says that you can't play it like Jason because that's disrespectful for Jason, so you have to find another way to do it right but just not like Jason. That's why he suggests Rob tapes a pick under his finger, so it's a compromise to get the same sound but not the exact same way Jason did it. And Rob counters by saying he can use the back of his fingers, the nails, to act like a pick. That's really cool.

That's an interesting statement since Metallica has made it very well known how deeply influential Motorhead was, to them. James even adopted Lemmy's mutton chops facial hair style because he wanted to BE Lemmy and yet, after Lemmy passed, James admitted he was never really close with the guy despite their numerous associations. Personally, I think his fascination with Lemmy ended as soon as he found out about Lemmy's love of amphetamines' (James has always been the sole "no-drugs" member of the band, despite being the heaviest alcoholic).

Here we go another internet troll idiot who wants to praise Dave and Jason and do anything possible to shit on James and Lars and Metallica just because that's what the cool kids do. So predictable and cringe. Come up with something new at this point its beyond played out. James and Lars ARE Metallica in every way shape or form since 1981. Those 2 guys you mention have 10 contributions total between the 2 of them out of their 100s of songs. They don't have much of anything to do with metallicas overall success or their songwriting. That doesn't fit your overused narrative though that James and Lars are these selfish evil entities while Dave and Jason are the poor pitiful me duo who was DONE SO WRONG by those evil Metallica guys how dare they do that. Like I said man come up with something new a fresh and stop sounding like a blind sheep. Hating on Metallica doesn't make you cool.

@@joaomaiaesimoes4846 Jason also wrote a couple of good basslines for Reload, but those albums aren't exactly what you reference when talking about Metallica. James and Lars were responsible for turning the bass down on Justice, something that will haunt those two for a very long time.

They only did it in the first, And Justice for all… Bass is on in subsequent records, including Garage Days. Bass is great on the Black album. Lars wanted him to take a backseat first, to earn his place in the band the hard way. And Jason said recently that despite that, the record without bass became legendary, cemented Metallica as an all-time band, so he can't be mad. His time came right after that and everybody recognizes him for his contribution to the band, Jason absolutely ruled. They're cool now.
