A few weeks ago, we had some of the mamahs try Indian food! Today, we had them try some famous Indian desserts! The moms tried gulab jamun, which are sweet deep fried milk dough balls drenched in rose water syrup. Gajar halwa is often referred to as carrot pudding and topped with raisins. A popular sweet treat, jalebi, is a sticky and crunchy deep fried snack. Similar to Mexican arroz con leche, kheer is a a tasty milk and rice pudding. Rasmalai is another Indian classic. It's flattened cheese patties served in a sweet milk sauce. Mango kulfi is a tasty mango ice cream dessert. Kaju barfi is a sweet Mazapan like treat made with cashews. Boondi laddu is a deep friend pastry enjoyed by many Indians!

Which country’s desserts should the mamahs try next!? 😊
Colombia! Please! 🙏🙏🙏🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
Maybe Brazil? 🇧🇷
Germany
I love to see them dive into a cherry torte
A black forest cake
There's lots of good German bakeries around the LA area
Maybe Guatemala food because it’s my dad is hometown.
Spain
Gajar Halwa is life changing. They way they took carrots and turned it into a sublime dessert is phenomenal to me.
I love to make that! Because the idea is You can get away with dessert because you're technically eating vegetables! 😇
It's up there with barfi
It's super easy to make. You grate carrots. Then heat the milk, slowly put in the grated carrots, sugar, crushed cardamom and butter (unsalted). Heat gently, while mixing , till you get to the texture /thickness you prefer ! Just add some chopped toasted nuts. Tadaaa!
PS : You may create your own variations. Try adding cinnamon powder. Or a couple of cloves.
@Viskydude The recipe I had said to add honey, but at the end. Just to boil the carrots with the milk, and then add butter, honey, and cinnamon or cardamom at the end. Interesting!
@@LindaC616 The most basic one is just grated carrots, sugar, milk, and butter (or ghee).
And then there are variations according to the individual.
Also, the carrots themselves should be naturally SWEET ones.
I lost my dear mother 3 years ago n it's comforting to see these lovely mamahs❣️ HUG YOUR MOTHERS!!!!!
Sending you hugs ❤️
These moms remind me of my mom so much especially xochitl
Same me too
Kaju barfi is made with cashews, not pistachios!
The indian rice pudding is SO good! 🤤🤤🤤😋😋😋😋
Pretty sure all the Mamahs' sugar levels were off the charts after this 😅! Store-bought isn't bad.... But homemade Indian food is on another level.
Exactly my thoughts.
The mamas already look so sweet.
Omg! I just watched a NRI giving advice to his Korean friends to not eat Indian food b'coz it's not healthy. I think he has been eating Indian food from the restaurants his whole life.
So funny and true! I had no idea how much Indians like their sweets until I watched David Rocco's La Dolce India, and he kept commenting on how sweet everything was!
I miss seeing Lucy and Xóchil 😢
yeah, especially as an Indian American, who doesn’t really like (and in fact, hates!) most Indian desserts well, except for the kaju burfi and boondi laddoo, I would’ve really liked seeing Lucy and Xóchil’s reactions/opinions about Indian desserts
I agree
Xòchil is pretty hot
@@EyesDropBrowieschill
Especially Xóchitl 🌺🇲🇽
I love Martha! She's a bundle of joy.
Love these aunties
They try to analyse the ingredients like how my mom does when I present her with something new
Have you asked them to try instant noodles from around the world? You know like Nissin, NongShim, Maruchan, Momofuku, Indomie… Yes, I’m from Indonesia and I’d like to see our mamahs try something Indonesian one way or another 😂
Maggi
I used to work with Indian women and I know Indian desserts too well. I love all of these. Never had the crunchy thing though.....Gulab Jamun are the BEST
Nah the diamonds are best. Kaiju Katie's. White is right. Any white dessert in India is top tier I figured. Like Ras Malai. IDK what they're putting in the white ones or dough they use but they're all top tier lol. Maybe they really are the ancient Aryans lol
@@rockysalvatore435bro what the F....
"Sabe a naranja!!" Completely destroys the little meatball thing. 😂 I love Martha.
LOVE indian food and mamahs! 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤❤❤❤
We sure you do
Except ras malai all are north Indian sweet. Roshogolla, sondesh, mishti doi, chumchum, khaja, pedha, pithe, patisapta u all will definitely fall in love as well as with Mysore pak. I m sure for misti doi u all will feel heavenly taste. So nxt time try east and south Indian sweets also.
I love when lupe and Martha rank food together 😊!!!!
Yes! They make a great duo 🥹❤️
why you channel banner has faze rug are you in love with him
Indian food is amazing. I tried gulab jamun once and it was amazing. Great video MaMah! 😋 🇮🇳
Thank you for watching! The mamahs liked the gulab jamun! ❤️
Love this channel so much I really enjoy it so much 🫶🏼♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks for watching! We appreciate you! ❤️
I was anxious while watching them trying all these sweet dishes as lots of sugar consume. Glad they enjoyed. Seems so delicious 👍🏻😊
It's so hard to find anything, even in this world of online information, about how food tastes or how another person experiences it. One reason I love these videos is because these mamahs give honest and detailed responses and reviews of foods that are foreign to me as a Canadian. I've been wanting to try these Indian desserts forever, and now there are a few I know I will go and buy because I have actual real-person descriptions of them. Gracias mamahs!
I often watch videos of people from Pakistan and India trying foods and they always love eating Mexican foods because there are familiar elements but still different. It is nice to see it in reverse.
What is the process of choosing which mamah gets to feature in a video? I love them all, which makes it hard to watch a video sometimes because I'm constantly thinking of what other mamahs not in the video would think😅
Xóchitl Doesn't eat meat, so if there is a video that includes meat, she is sure to not be in it. I think she's also careful about too much lactose.
So happy to be both Indian and Mexican!
These four ladies make me smile every week but Lupe makes my heart go putty-pat. Such a cutie! ❤
Team Lupe 🥹❤️
Title should be trying North North West Indian sweets not just Indian... Most of the sweets are not available all over India cause every state has different taste and own sweets.
Love you mammas 😊
I'm Indian! 🇮🇳 Thank you so much for doing this video! I love the mango kulfi, it's so yummy! 😋
For jalebi eat it with curd we called Dahi to balance out Sweetness.
put the names of the dishes in the food items in the description, please.
6:15 should be cashew not pistachio
Indian food rules, most variety for both meat and veg, salty, sweet, sour, it has it all.
Have them try Korean fried chicken one day please!!
6:14 not pistachio, it's cashew. Kaju means Cashew
Indian food is love.
❤
Alfajor shown on 6:38 isn't typical in México (is from Argentina). She refers to a candy made of ground coconut and sugar
Correct.
The coconut sweet they are talking about is called alcanfor (which is the word they said).
alcanfor? what? no! xd, Alfajor is a dessert in MX and AR but diferent recipes, textures and flavor
@@XedioLeo Depends where you are in Mexico, some people say alcanfor, some say alfajor, and it's the same type of coconut sweet, mostly white with a very pink layer on top.
@@lorenam8028I thought alcanfor was mothballs...
@@LindaC616 That's exactly what it is 😂😂😂
To be fair, it was probably alfajor at first, and people just started saying it wrong. But the fact remains a lot of people call those things alcanfores 🤷🏻♀️
When it comes yo desserts india has thousands of varieties across the country
We want XÓCHITL! 🌺🇲🇽
As a boy with Indian heritage this is a W
Habshi halwa, Mottochor Laddoo, Pista Bharti, Irani Cham Cham, Kala Jam with coconut are all nice too 👍
The Kheer Noodle is better than rice. Truuuuuust me. It's like Fideo de Dulce ughbh so good
i love mexicans now for thier love and exceptance of food, actually beacuse their taste buds are similar to indians
Kaju Bharfi is made with cashews, not pistachios. 'Kaju' is literally just the Indian way of pronouncing 'Cashew'.
Please have them try Goan Indian food ! It's almost the same as Mexican food!
What is the similarity between Goan and Mexican food? Pls explain
Use of black jaggery compared to actual sugar.
Try Indian malai kulfi and Mexican Milk Fresa!! Both taste the same
you should try tongan food!
Indians and Mexicans are just brothers and sisters from another Mother!
Comida de PERU IS NEXT!❤
Carrot halwa is so delicious. There is a beet version that is out of the world. I hare beets but could eat the crap out of that dessert
correction: kaju barfi ,made of cashew nuts not pistacio /ps kaju means cashew😊😊
My most faveriote deserts, gulab Jamun> Gajar pak > ragulla
Foreigners should try indian halwas, kheer and kaju katli else they will die from sweetness
Rasmalai isn't cottage cheese although there is use of thickened milk.
You should've given paper sweet called pootharekulu, kaju burfi, ash gourd pita, one type of halwa. Eh next time maybe. There are many more.
mexican moms are very difficult to impress, I was stressed out over here XD
All these sweet dishes came to india from persia during mughal period in india. (Except laddu)
miss indian food masala chicken kheer rice pudding
first time seen a kaju barfi that thick
Try Egyptian desserts!🇪🇬 basbousa, Om Ali, kunafa, balah el sham, qonbela😋
You should try jalebi with yogurt
They are sooo cute
Ay Martha… cuídate esa diabetes! ❤️ te queremos por largo tiempo entre nosotros!
I love the gulab jamun so I haven't tried anything else.
You should try some of the others mentioned in this video! The mamahs loved them!
Try the gajar halva! I make it at home because it's not so sweet, and it's really good. And you're eating vegetables!
Try the jalebi with un sweetened yoghurt i.e. dahi it will taste like heaven and remember that the jalebi must be hot
Jalebi in general is way too sweet. As an Indian i don't recommend it to non indians.
@@richardlobo88 I am an Indian too and I know how sweet it is that's why I suggested to eat it with dahi
@@anshumansahoo4869 you mean rabri? Sugar syrup and dahi doesn't go together.
@@richardlobo88 nope I do mean dahi, I have eaten it many times and it's delicious, and it goes very well together. You should try once at least too, get hot jalebis and dip it in dahi like dahi is a sauce and see how it tastes
@@anshumansahoo4869 as I said earlier dahi and sugar syrup combo is a mismatch, it might suit your taste bud,but it's a combination that never works.
wait what they have made 2 different channels .....one is mammah and the other one is papah 😂🔥
Hi I am from India 😊❤🇮🇳
Is Xochil coming back?? She was my favorite !
Thanks for trying 1% of our sweets 😅 mama's
Was waiting for the roshogolla..
Dress them with saree and they look like Indian moms already 😂
Kaju is Cashew and not Pistachio.
do mexican moms try arabic food!
It's a crime they didn't have a nice cup of chai to help wash all those sweets down! :D
In India Dessert means sweetness... Sweetness means dessert.
The mom's should try Thai dishes, drinks, and deserts.
They should try our street foods
kaju is made with cashew, not pistachio.
Do Polynesians
How do I sign my tia up for this ???😭
Indians cousines n varieties of food specially vegetarian is best in d world...🧐other only limited to handful dishes ...but in India u can only get hundreds of breads...n thousands dishes...
Bring Susana on more videos.
Mexican Grandmas Try Indian Desserts 🧓🧓
Everyone should come to India to have actual Indian food, different from the westernised version
Indian aunties 😂
I always prefer reactions made my moms , it does not matter which country they are from, unlike some korean teenage girls who know zero about cooking and good food.
why didn't y'all try rasogolla?😅😂
Try Malay food. Like the traditional kueh
Hi mamah do you guys speak Spanish ❤ like the people from behind the camera
Fun fact: Yes! But what you guys hear is just English 😊
Ohhh ok
Can you guys try Dominican food please
Who is here after the Mexican dad's video? 😂😂
If you want to Enjoy Jalebi eat it with curd
Also where is the guy who used to narrate I haven't heard his voice in a very long time....
Boondi ladoo... The basic bitch of indian sweets... My dad's favorite...
I miss xochil and Lucy where they go???
First of all, I love their honest reviews. But eating indian sweets one after another is not recommended. One type of sweet at a particular time is what makes each of them stand out, otherwise they all have contradicting textures and flavours.
Btw the women when they said the halwa feels more pumpkin than carrots, well they may be right because a lot of these packaged ones use pumpkins instead of carrots. Real carrots halwa will be dark red or dark orange in color and taste not that sweet.
Cashew powder, not pistachio powder... That would be pista barfi...
The dishes are too sweet because they aren't local or homemade. I wish they could have the real ones.
you have missed many other indian sweets try bengali sweets
Now you know my Latinas are athletic as they eat less sugar and more protein😉
As an Indian, I dislike jalebi. So I do not blame you
lol dont think they liked anything they were just being polite.
