The raven may not be able to throw potions but shouldn't it be able to smash it with claw attack, so you could place the bottle at your feet and have it smash it so you'd heal from the "aoe" of the potion? You can do similar thing by placing several characters around one bottle and having one of them strike the bottle with melee attack.
You did really well, buffing your saves paid off and making the kid scram faster was a great idea. Did you get the Raven from the Shadowlands? Before you killed the Goblin Leaders for the Grove?

I might be mistaken, but the sword gives saving throws buffs to allies, not the wielder
