- I wanted to do the Harpy encounter prior to the Grove Assault since I wasn't sure it would be available after. Ran into a bear that I had not seen before and I just had to see what happened if I brought it down to the beach. Party time!
I did end up respeccing (only changing class order, still going with the same build!) her after unlocking Withers. She's now Cleric 1 / Warlock 3. I will probably change the class order again at higher level so we can have Constitution Proficiency.

Thank you so much for watching my video(s)!
Non lethal (for Mirkon) way of starting the fight would also be using mage hand to shove him away from water, you can drink elixir of strength on magehand to make sure it succeeds, harpies will then start the fight but you can have better position than starting with a cutscene.
I know its not what You tried to do here, i'm just putting the comment for other people if they wanted to save the kid on solo run.
Also great idea of using a bear here, i'll have to try that
Awesome plan!
This is better than my "run in and cast silence" way of doing this. Nice.
Classic Kithari! First Eldritch Blasting a defenseless child, then tormenting him after he was almost killed by harpies! Never change Kithari!
she was reincarnated with all of her strengths
Ok...never thought to lure the bear over to the harpies....gonna start using that from now on.
For those wanting a little more cheese on this: the harpies are monstrosities. So the hunting bow that you can buy from Dammon gives you advantage on all attacks against them. Perfect for a rogue or any melee combatant. I may have missed it but I don’t think Friendly is using that bow.
Edit: thanks for the gear check at the end. I always forget about the bow of awareness.
The hunting bow would had been a better choice for sure! I bought it but I just forgot about it. Oh well :)
you pulled a bear into this😮
Was hard to resist!
Useful. Bears is always useful)
I cast sanctuary on the kid, but you do you!
^^ he somehow managed to survive when I wasn't trying. And ends up dying when I am trying 🙃
Yes I tried but the dumbass attacked a Harpie did 1 damage and died next turn
Maaan, I tried to do this with anders and the Gnolls, but it only lead to disappointment. It's pretty rad how it worked out in your favor here, though. Low wis and no silence makes this fight a nightmare.
Bummer! That would had been cool :D
I remember kiting the Minotaurs in the underdark to the myconids. They all sat there and watched :(
Ouch! The minotaurs are really rough too
@@FriendlyLich Yeah, I forgot about them and aggro'd both and was like. Well time to run back and hopefully they'll join the fight. Never did but I still won :)
I have a question. What happens if you take an artifact from Shadowheart and throw it away later or sell it?
Haha! I am very curious now as well about that, but not willing to do it on Honour Mode :)
You can't throw it away or sell it. Quest items can't be sold, and the artifact itself doesn't let you drop it. You also can't send it to another party member.
@@paragonvice1128 Well there's the answer for that :)
I assume hitting Mirkon before the fight was to make sure his cutscene didn't trigger... But his hp is low enough that it might've killed him, right?
Oh I was hoping to take him out and the same time :). But I actually don't think you can at that point.
well.. i managed to do something both hilarious and stupid... I called Lump into the fight with Nere. (I had half the fight on my side.) IDK what happened but EVERYONE went hostile to EVERYONE. Gnomes, Nere, Dwarves... it was such a long fight but it was so dumb funny.
Haha things can go fubar real fast. Hopefully Lump didn't go hostile too!
@@FriendlyLich nah lump and the boys were neutral to me, but basically everyone else went aggro to everyone lol I just kinda chilled and waited for it to be all over.
Exactly the same here in my first ever honor run. It's not even close to the only time things have gone south for me but it turned into such a huge slugfest. Live and learn...
At this rate, Baldur's Gate 4 will be announced by the time we get to Act 3. XD
Haha we'll see =)
Lol how do ideas like this come about?
I have a very busy brain 😅
