Maybe it's due to self-esteem issues throughout my life, but one of the things I never chased was perfection- I've always been far more attracted to (and seem to attract) oddities, chaos, and contradictions, and finding the inherent order in those things, rather than imposing any of my order on them. I'm reminded of the Persian rug weavers, absolute masters of their craft who intentionally leave imperfections in the rug, both as a sign of religious devotion and also as a reminder that perfection is unattainable, and acceptance the far greater blessing.
what gets me about your videos is just how well you relate to others out in the world and on shoots. I think that if I learn to talk to people more, it will open up more opportunities for my photography
I LOVE your videos so much and especially your Polaroid series. It’s why I got the I-2. I learn so much from you and you take such beautiful pictures (even if you don’t think so). This was the best one yet.
Another title: A perfectionist’s guide to perfectly imperfect photos. As I strive to shoot more organic and loose, I find myself going through the same creative blocks as you. Thank you for taking us along the journey and helping us overcome!
Thank you for this great video, Sissi! I love the reanalyze, redefine & reset motto - I always learn from your videos in one form or another. Thank you for that. The way you talked about taking the wrong turn, reminded me of the quote of taking the road less travelled. 📷
Yeah!!! 🥰 All is well in the world again. We've both did a reset this summer. Absolutely nailed those Polaroids, especially when you took a wrong turn. I got excited as I'm watching, saying to the screen, wait for someone to walk through the shadow. LOL. Great video! FYI love the microphone.
I love the peak into your creative process. I always enjoy the honesty you bring to your photography and the discussions of it. I am even more tempted to buy a polaroid camera again just to try it out. Anyway, thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Thank you so much for watching this video! I love using my Polaroid, and I’ve been taking even more Polaroid photos ever since I got the I-2 camera. Don’t get me wrong, I love my SX-70 and SLR 680, but the new I-2 is so easy to bring along, whether I’m hanging out with friends or traveling internationally. I highly recommend checking it out!
This video just popped on my feed and I'm so grateful it did! I loved watching your creative process and listening to your thoughts, and the doodles in the photos are so cool
so excited to watch this!! since I can’t find any more sx-70 film, I’m picking up my Polaroid Now a lot more often and it’s definitely a learning curve.
Hey, Sissi! Thanks always for the great content! Which setting do you use whenever you shoot with the flash on? Auto, aperture, shutter, manual, etc... I'm a little confused about this and would love your help. Thank you!
Hi, thank you for watching the video! I found that the flash photos work the best on the auto setting with no adjustments on the I-2 camera. But depending on your preference, I suggest that you try to bracket a few stops to find what suits your eyes the best :)
Inizio con complimenti e ringraziamenti: ho imparato cose molto importanti grazie al tuo video! Ho notato anche il tuo outfit splendido e così anche la tracolla della I-2, bianca! La vorrei anch’io: dove posso acquistarla?
Good question! I should’ve made a note in the video. No, these were all taken prior to the firmware update. I heard great things about the update, I just haven’t done it myself.
The chemistry is new! Not the same as the previous 600 film. They used similar chemistry from reclaim blue and made this one. It has so much more depth comparing to the older 600 and itype versions.
It sounds like you are mispronouncing Perfectionist and Imperfectionist. You must pronounce the C. You think too much. Just schoot more film and think less about it.
18:37 I loooove this shot!! Beautiful contrast!
Honey wake up Sissi Lu posted a new RUclips video!!

Thank you for this video, and your thoughts! I've repaired my Polaroid and I want to shoot more on it. Maybe it's a Polaroid era?
maybe it will be a Pola-autumn 🫣🍂🤎
What settings would you recommend to use on the I type 2 for the best photos?

Please do one with the TL70 Plus.
great video!!! Can I ask what camera do you use for your videos? The quality is really good!
The video camera? The vlog type footages are from the Osmo Pocket 3, and the “talking head” part is the Sony fx3 🫶

I love the new B+W chemistry. Question: are these taken with the newest firmware update that fixed some overexposure issues with the I-2?
Good question! I should’ve made a note in the video.
No, these were all taken prior to the firmware update. I heard great things about the update, I just haven’t done it myself.
Perfection: keep fixing it until it's never finished.

The I-2 camera is getting more use than my slr 680 🫣👀
How much is a pack of film for that camera? Your photos are nice btw
$19.99 per pack, 8 shots in one pack.
