This is one of the only interviews where the interviewer talks to every member directly, I'm so happy. :3 no one is ignored, normally Niall and Zayn are ignored and Harry singled out and asked all the questions.
Probably because this was before he got picked on by the media all the time for every little slip up he would say or every girl he was seen with, even when they were just friends or relatives of his. I hate how the media treated him. He is such a great guy, so open and funny and just alive, with one of the most beautiful souls on the planet, and they made him doubt himself. Made him dial back his immense light because he didn't want to be thrown to the wolves anymore. Harry has a tendency to say things before he thinks about them, and that got him hurt on more than one occasion. I think it's a very endearing trait. Makes him more honest and relatable. It also makes him more of a target.

Has anyone noticed some similarities between them and the Beatles? All the Beatles early interviews were fun and giggly too, but over time interviews became more like 'work' and were less fun. But the more I think about it... Harry=Paul, Louis=John, Zayne=George, Nial=Ringo
I'm a huge Directioner and I've grown up listening to the Beatles, but you have to admit, the Beatles weren't self-conscious and diplomatic like our boys are :) They just said and did whatever they wanted

The Beatles were among the first to experience that kind of fame so they just said whatever they wanted... having nobody to learn from. Nowadays management are more hot on what should be talked about and what shouldn't. That said, Paul was always quite PR-savy, polite and self-conscious.

I think these days there's a formula - 1D know that fans like that mischief. In Beatles days interviews were more formal and professional cos it was all BBC... no fun channels/talk-shows.
