Kobe was the best player in the NBA in his 17th year, I don't think y'all know how insane that is. Dude is a beast, I wish he would of never tore his Achilles
+derrick howard jr three years later and i still think about his achilles injury...if that never happened he'd still be tearing up the league. fuckkkk i hate that he got injured but it was bound to happen. Maybe Mr. Pringles aka mike dantoni shouldnt have given him so many mins like fuck before this injury he only rested for a total of 16 mins in his last 7 games combined...like how insane is that on a 34 year old body smh. ofc kobe was trying to get them to the playoffs but still dantoni was playing him 45-47 mins per game. i honestly blame him for not controlling his minutes
he wasn't the best but he was borderline top 5.. Lebron and Durant no doubt passed him up. You could also make case for Chris Paul, few other guys. Still though, he was right up there
One thing that makes me sad about Kobe is that no one (except true fans) will remember Kobe for his great teamwork and great passing (not passing to get an assist). I feel the fucking media has blasted an image across every webpage, article, and blog that Kobe isn't a good teammate, that he is a ball hog, that it has started effecting young adults into thinking this is true. This isn't true. Kobe has been one of the best teammates in the NBA and has always been about team winning above everything else mentality (like Duncan). Does he go for scoring records? Yes, but in the playoffs he is dialed in and knows he has to pass the ball to succeed. One of the great things about Kobe is that he makes his teammates truly great players and elevates them and motivates them beyond their actual skill level. In other words, he has done what Lebron has failed to do almost every playoffs and that is to make your teammates better. Lebron gets his teammates easy shots sometimes but that will not do because can't have the ball in his hands every procession. What happened to Lebron in the finals? When he sat down, his teammates fell apart because they didn't know what to do. No one taught them. Kobe has done things that no one will be able to accomplish again for a long time and no one will actually remember it. Sad.
+nitotech Very true. You realize how much the media has control over people's lives. In reality, Kobe is a great passer and teammate and above all else...as great person a well. You can really see his growth throughout his career, not only in basketball, but in his personality too.
I don't know about that. Every website, blog, news article, youtube comment, whatever, glorifies kobe as the greatest player in basketball history, next to Jordan. I ain't a huge NBA fan but I watch games weekly, and this is my observation. I'd also like to note that I haven't seen a player in any sport get as much props as kobe, He could be playing 2000 miles away from his hometown yet when he dunks entire stadiums go crazy, people go nuts. i haven't seen that before with any player in NBA history.
+nitotech iv been watching the dude since 1999 and iv seen him 4 times in person and your right you don't get 6,000 plus assists for being a ball hog he's the Goat with MJ for sure
I have been watching the NBA for 40 years now and I must say that there is only two players that's fun to watch and they are legends of all the legends when it comes to game of basketball. First: Michael Jordan. Second: Kobe Bryant. I don't see any other player who can match their skills and talents to win and be a champion. There are some awesome players no doubt: Lebron, D.Wade, Bird, Magic, Durant etc…! But Jordan & Kobe are on a different LEVEL.
Well said my man. LeFlop and the others are all talented players but Kobe and MJ are two players that have the killer instinct that everyone else lacks.
Had he not torn his achilles, these would have been the scenarios: 1. He would have been the MVP that year (well, if the Lakers did better then). Playing at the age of 34 at that level, still schooling younger players and making fearless dunks, was insane! 2. He would have still been one, if not the most, dominant players until now, something that Kobe haters and one-sided media would have been pissed about. 3. He would not have written his emotional poem in Players' Tribune and letter to his fans because he would not have thought of retirement after this season. Well, Kobe has not been his former self for the seasons following his achilles injury. But as one of his avid fans, I will not remember him for this. For me, he will still always be the player with unparalleled work ethics, who would do everything to make his team win, even if he was already hurting (remember his two free-throws after his injury) and who stayed with the Lakers through good and bad times. Thank you, Kobe. NBA will never be the same without you.
Don't worry pal. I got the same feeling. Kobe is love Kobe is life. next season will be interesting. He is determined to have his vengeance on the LA / Kobe doubters.
Man I just teared up watching this video. This was his last year because of this injury. Had this not happened he would’ve went til 37-38 at this level. Just needed pieces around him. He’s my Michael Jordan ! Rip Kobe
Holy fckn shit. That game against Toronto is like something out of a video game. Are you kidding me? Wow I don't think something like that's been ever done by one player in the league before
this is getting emotional. Kobe has always been my favorite player. I remember watching him my whole entire life. 16 years old. Hes a legend who will always be remembered. Thank you Kobe for all the hard work you put in.
I've never see someone work so hard to the point the broke down like Kobe. That season his drive was amazing. He was gassed most night and he toughed it out. I will forever appreciate this season, my favorite player ever. He brought it every fucking night
This was Kobe`s last year at the highest level at 35 years old at that, how many 35 year old`s in the nba could play as well as he did that season. I know in recent years there had been some hate for this guy, when you ever think about him you got to respect the hard work he`s put in and what he`s done for the game of basketball over the past 19 to 20 years So many of today`s stars look up to him, all i can say is, is this is his last season i hope he has a good one even though, things are looking very bad for the lakers.
The motivation, obsession, hunger, will, passion and drive to win. That's Kobe Bryant. Truly the last dying breed of the former great era of basketball. In my eyes, He and MJ are evenly matched.
Nobody could touch him. The only thing that can stop Kobe is his age. His 20 years in the NBA is taking its toll. I have been a Kobe fan since i was 6 and now I'm 18. Been following and idolizing him for 12 years and what i can say about him right now is that retirement is coming soon but not now. I believe he can still get that 6th ring. Love him or hate him, you can't deny he is one of the most accomplished players and by far the toughest player ever in NBA history. I personally think he is up there with MJ as the greatest of all time. Even Michael said so himself that only Kobe's worthy enough for that comparison. Good luck with the rest of your career Kobe. You'll always be my favorite basketball player of all time.
Please don’t ever delete this video. RIP Kobe Bryant! I swear I used to watch this video before ever middle school and high school game and it brings back a lot of memories. Very nostalgic!
This season was a vintage season for kobe too bad he got injuries before the playoffs. .. smh... at age 34 he was putting in work finished with 27 ppg 46% 5 rebs 6 assts
Heck of a season for Kobe. 12-13 is one of my favorites! he was faster, more explosive, and just playing on another level. I think he was the best in the game this season. whereas 2011 and 2012, Bron and KD were in the top 3 along with Kobe. but 13 Kobe stands out.
Kobe proves everyday that he is the greatest baller to ever touch a ball he completely dethroned Jordan when he continued having 30 point games in his 30s like it wasn't shit
Nope, his prime ended with this season. This was the last season he made 1st team all-NBA and finished top 5 in mvp voting...I consider this to be part of his prime, albeit the end of his prime, but still
I've watched Kobe for a very long time and I can honestly say this was Kobe's best season as a player. Why? Because this was the ultimate test for him. Not having that same athleticism and speed but yet he was still dropping 40 easy on teams getting triple doubles easy, guarding the best point guards in the league all game locking them down easy. Playing all 48 minutes for like 8 games in a row before he tore his achilles. All my real Laker fans know how turnt up Kobe got towards the end of this season. Shit was like 06 all over again. I blame Jim Buss, Dwight Howard, Nash and Pau for not stepping up the way they should have and playing through injuries. They sat in Kobe's back pack all season and it didn't help at all. Props to Steve Blake and metta for stepping up. I had a feeling Kobe would have gotten injured just wasn't expecting the achilles.
I truly appreciate all of your comments, guys. The first beat is just a random beat I found from Dee Smith's Kobe vs. Jordan video, and has no particular name that I know. Kobe Bean Bryant has taught me everything I know about the game of basketball, and even life itself. Ever since becoming a fan in 2004 and watching his every single game, I have been emotionally attached to this one player. Anything I do in life, my will to be "The Best" always refers back to Kobe and what he displays
song that starts at 4:25 sounds like a song playing while credits roll through some lifetime movie about a woman who got away from domestic abuse or some shit and how she finally got a full time job at some shitty job and now her life is great
Brings me joy to see these 2013 highlights in the millions.. * R E A L * Kobe fans know this season was one of his best..17th year in the league still fucking niggaz up night in night out!! Media tried down playing it all year
I watch Plenty of Kobe highlights/Laker video and you did a good job on this one. Well edited, good selection of background music, knew when to turn up broadcaster's voice at the rht time. Thumbs up
how can you hate on this man did you see what he just did in his 17th season!!!!!!! name one other player in his 17th year that actually got better as a scorer, passer , defender , played 42 mins and scoring over 30 per gm and over 5 assist down the stretch for the lakers to even sniff the 8th seed and he was gaurding the best players steph curry half is age and kyire irving, and all these young dudes including lebron cant play more then 35 mins with out cramping or resting, yes mj is the best but kobe is the next best thing there will ever be but kobe is a better shooter from deep then mj but lets not froget my man bill russell 11 rings no one touching that thanks for reading
When the calm music started at about 5 min I began to think how great Kobe Bryant is. How easy he makes all of these tough shots look. How much of a winner and competitor he is. I can't wait to see him back on the floor teaching these young bloods how it's done. Respect to my man Kobe Bryant, you are my inspiration.
He would have kept being an amazing player, but he wouldn't have won in the west over younger and more skilled teams. Maybe if Kobe had never gotten hurt, Howard and Gasol would have stayed a lot longer.
I love this so much bro thanks for putting this beautiful piece together.. kobe forever!.. that year he was giving it his all probly why he got hurt so much..hes back though!! lets go!
This season actually makes me tear up..Ive been a advit Kobe fan since 04..Ive watched his prime frm 06 to 10..then those 2 mediocre seasons 11 & 12 in which he still balled bt I could tell he was off..then came 13 😰😰😰 I saw Kobe lock back in to RARE FUCKIN FORM!!! & it was fuckin epic to watch up until he got hurt 💯💯💯💯💯🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
This is an AMAZING video. Got some very good highlights of his seasons, but missed one that shouldve been on here when he shook O.J Mayo Great selection of music and great video!!!!
Nobody does it like Kobe...He is truly an artist...other players are awesome too, but NONE of them do it as beautifully as KB. simply beautiful to watch. TRUE ARTIST KB24/8
How more superstars did not join this man when he changed numbers for the last of his years, beats me… they were still doubling & even tripling him in his 17th year because they knew nobody else was more dam daring & accurate on those #24 Kobe Bryant teams then Kobe Bryant..that extension they gave him after he tore his Achilles had a lot of people panicking including me but we really thought there was gonna be better then Dash & Howard.. they treated him like he was Wizards Jordan after his last chip.. #24 for the lakers was just truly misunderstood. His mental razors to the game were so much more sharp then ever around 2010 & on… Legends Never Die 🐐🙏🏽
Kobe Bryant is simply one of the best. Ill never forget kobe and his awesome plays :( I wish I started playing basketball earlier to watch him win those champions :(
I cried that night Kobe walked off the court. The look he had in his eye was just, different. It was depressing like if he knew his time was almost up. I hope he has one final stride in his career because it would be sad to see a legend, a great, a hero go like this. Please come back stronger Kobe and prove your doubters that you truly are DIFFERENT!
Why are people complaining that Kobe "copied" Jordan. That's who he looked up to and now he's left his own legacy and people will want to be Kobe… One of the greatest of all time.
I hate that the injury had to happen. He was averaging 27 ppg that year and had he not been injured the following year would've been the same for him. His game made him an elite player plus his footwork is just outta here. All the greats career gotta come to an end. Kobe by far was the next Michael Jordan the question now is who's gonna be the next Kobe???
best basketball player since mj, better than lebron, best all around fundamentally sound basketball of all time cuz mj never had a better shot then kobe
Amazing video. Ive been a Laker fan my whole life and its easy to get spoiled by 24. Its also incredible to see him preform at this level considering how much basketball he's played and the toll on his body
Kobe was the best player in the NBA in his 17th year, I don't think y'all know how insane that is. Dude is a beast, I wish he would of never tore his Achilles
+derrick howard jr right, niggas dont' even know how good he'd still be
+Cody Cooper if kobe didnt tear his achilles they would have won a championship.
+derrick howard jr three years later and i still think about his achilles injury...if that never happened he'd still be tearing up the league. fuckkkk i hate that he got injured but it was bound to happen. no he wouldn't lol he was 20 seasons in bro, he would be feeling decline no matter what. BUT achilles quickened decline a great deal that's forsure
One thing that makes me sad about Kobe is that no one (except true fans) will remember Kobe for his great teamwork and great passing (not passing to get an assist). Reading this got me sad... Im 15 and have been watching kobe as long as i can remember.
+KiddNasty 2 I feel you dawg

Allen Iverson and Magic Johnson were fun as hell to watch. i think you forgot them on your list...
I agree with you totally mj and kb are the funniest to watch
Robert Ocampo Wtf are you on man
MVP Derrick Rose was Crazy Exciting

Thank you, Kobe. NBA will never be the same without you.
He would have been alive.
He wouldn't have deserved mvp over lebron that year.
Man I miss seeing kobe out on the court. The nba just isnt the same without him playin. Get well soon Kobe!
I feel you next season
Don't worry pal. I got the same feeling. Kobe is love Kobe is life. next season will be interesting. He is determined to have his vengeance on the LA / Kobe doubters.
Sinc3TV he will return and it will be all ogre then
Kyubi230 Now another season we will have to wait
Sinc3TV Is kobe playing next season???
when kobe retires.. us 90s kids will cry. he is the last of our amazing child hood ball player.
Man I just teared up watching this video. This was his last year because of this injury. Had this not happened he would’ve went til 37-38 at this level. Just needed pieces around him. He’s my Michael Jordan ! Rip Kobe
All I can see is a halo on his head and his angel wings flapping whenever he dunks or do a crazy layup.
Holy fckn shit. That game against Toronto is like something out of a video game. Are you kidding me? Wow I don't think something like that's been ever done by one player in the league before
2012-13 kobe is the best of all time
he was god that yr lls
Legends never die.
RIP Kobe‼️
this is getting emotional. Kobe has always been my favorite player. I remember watching him my whole entire life. 16 years old. Hes a legend who will always be remembered. Thank you Kobe for all the hard work you put in.
I started to play basketball because of this Kobe, rest in peace legend, ill never forget u
Getting man tears over here since Kobe just announced his retirement after this season ends.... gonna miss him :(
man for real
🐐🐐
I've never see someone work so hard to the point the broke down like Kobe. That season his drive was amazing. He was gassed most night and he toughed it out. I will forever appreciate this season, my favorite player ever. He brought it every fucking night
- Literally one of the most Underrated Seasons of his Career.
A 6’6 guard from Lower Merion High School, 5 time world champion... Kooobbeeeeeee Bryant
Before the injury, this man was going for the all time leading scorer. It's a shame.
This was Kobe`s last year at the highest level at 35 years old at that, how many 35 year old`s in the nba could play as well as he did that season. I know in recent years there had been some hate for this guy, when you ever think about him you got to respect the hard work he`s put in and what he`s done for the game of basketball over the past 19 to 20 years
So many of today`s stars look up to him, all i can say is, is this is his last season i hope he has a good one even though, things are looking very bad for the lakers.
Respect from Russia!
When I was in Houston, in 2007, I visited game Rockets vs Lakers
I saw Kobe alive! He's best!
The motivation, obsession, hunger, will, passion and drive to win. That's Kobe Bryant. Truly the last dying breed of the former great era of basketball. In my eyes, He and MJ are evenly matched.
Nah man kobe is ludicrous mj don't match kobe nah
I hate when people say Kobe is just top 10 the man is top 5 and the best of his generation
Mermaid Man All Savage top 2 for me.. only mj ahead
Nobody could touch him. The only thing that can stop Kobe is his age. His 20 years in the NBA is taking its toll. I have been a Kobe fan since i was 6 and now I'm 18. You'll always be my favorite basketball player of all time.
Agree with everything except larry bird was the toughest player of all time
This season was so underrated from Kobe. He was so good this year, it was one of the best seasons of his career.
If the lakers had won more games that season Kobe would've easily won another MVP
Please don’t ever delete this video. RIP Kobe Bryant! I swear I used to watch this video before ever middle school and high school game and it brings back a lot of memories. Very nostalgic!
Kobe is one of the greatest of all time and he is better than lebron
Yep that's what I'm talking about you the right thing my favorite player Kobe is better than lebron
Way better tf 😂
Pooh Jackson true but Lebron is a different position so..., top 10 of course, top 5 debatable, for sure not goat
Kobe is better than LeBron.
Smh @ better than LeBron..... fools
Kobe's footwork is unparalleled to anyone. Lebron is the most athletic. I'd take footwork over athleticism any day.
This season was a vintage season for kobe too bad he got injuries before the playoffs. .. smh... at age 34 he was putting in work finished with 27 ppg 46% 5 rebs 6 assts
*Injured
Clever makes beats
Heck of a season for Kobe. 12-13 is one of my favorites! he was faster, more explosive, and just playing on another level. I think he was the best in the game this season. whereas 2011 and 2012, Bron and KD were in the top 3 along with Kobe. but 13 Kobe stands out.

Never thought that i would be watching this while kobe is gone...
Ik man 😭💜💛🤬😔
the last season of his prime
He was well past his prime then, his prime ended in 2008
Nope, his prime ended with this season. This was the last season he made 1st team all-NBA and finished top 5 in mvp voting...I consider this to be part of his prime, albeit the end of his prime, but still
+shamus248 his prime extended to this season it ended in 2010 but he still was the best even this season
shamus248 I agree the last great season he Avg 27 and 5 great year only a torn Achilles stopped him he was kicking father times ass before then
got that right
I've watched Kobe for a very long time and I can honestly say this was Kobe's best season as a player. Why? Because this was the ultimate test for him. Not having that same athleticism and speed but yet he was still dropping 40 easy on teams getting triple doubles easy, guarding the best point guards in the league all game locking them down easy. I truly appreciate all of your comments, guys. The first beat is just a random beat I found from Dee Smith's Kobe vs. Jordan video, and has no particular name that I know. Dude thank you for making this video, it is a work of art. Can't wait until next season.
song that starts at 4:25 sounds like a song playing while credits roll through some lifetime movie about a woman who got away from domestic abuse or some shit and how she finally got a full time job at some shitty job and now her life is great
LOL
+TheWholeSystemisFckd fck man its even more sadder now after the news..
Thanks Anthony. What a great video. Endless and unconditional love for the Black Mamba & the Purp and Gold
Greatest ever: Kobe. R.I.P.
Sick video man, not many like this on youtube. Left me speechless and motivated all throughout the video. Keep up the good work, and thanks.
Brings me joy to see these 2013 highlights in the millions..
* R E A L * Kobe fans know this season was one of his best..17th year in the league still fucking niggaz up night in night out!!
Media tried down playing it all year
Dude was 35 and the best player in the damn NBA. That's fucking insane.
Kobe was better than LeBron that year?
+Keefe Keefe yes lebron had slight better stats but he had wade and bosh Kobe had a injury riddled squad with a trash coach
Christian Donaldson Lol LeBron was by far the best player that year imo
Kobe Bryant is greatness.
This kobe never gets brought up. Hella underrated at this point and manage to get his team to the playoffs before going out
This makes me cry
aww :(
matty really even more now
Now that crying hits different...
The best video of Kobe I've ever watched, thank you AY!
Individually 2012 was probably one of his greatest season. He should've been in the map race how he played to keep us lakers in the playoff huny
MJ is 1A. Kobe is 1B.
AlejoChris73092 Agreed.
Kobe the best period
***** i was watching that raptors game 3 straight contested 3s then end game wit 2 hand dunk i was like enough is enough kobe that goat lmaoo
out their wit joddy meeks, earl clark, steve blake and injured ass d12
Isn't it Weird? He scored 34 Pts the Night he got Injured and that was his Last game as a 34 Year old.
So tru
kobe would've had 6 rings if he never tore his Achilles
He would have kept being an amazing player, but he wouldn't have won in the west over younger and more skilled teams. Maybe if Kobe had never gotten hurt, Howard and Gasol would have stayed a lot longer.
I swear! They would’ve won that year
Or of he played team ball in the Pistons finals 04
He wouldve won 6 rings if that trade wasn't vetoed
I love this so much bro thanks for putting this beautiful piece together.. kobe forever!.. that year he was giving it his all probly why he got hurt so much..hes back though!! lets go!
*WE WANT KOBE!!! 2018-19*
This season actually makes me tear up..Ive been a advit Kobe fan since 04..Ive watched his prime frm 06 to 10..then those 2 mediocre seasons 11 & 12 in which he still balled bt I could tell he was off..then came 13 😰😰😰
I saw Kobe lock back in to RARE FUCKIN FORM!!! & it was fuckin epic to watch up until he got hurt 💯💯💯💯💯🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Oh mamba how I miss you :(
John Ocampo me too he's my idol😢
Even worse now
This is an AMAZING video. Got some very good highlights of his seasons, but missed one that shouldve been on here when he shook O.J Mayo
Great selection of music and great video!!!!
KOBEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! man i hope he dont retire hes the best.when he goes who is left lebron james? he passes in the 4th quarter hes no Kobe.
This is the best reply I've ever read
You're my hero
Love this video thank you bro for your great work :)
😞my last year in high school was based on him
Nobody does it like Kobe...He is truly an artist...other players are awesome too, but NONE of them do it as beautifully as KB. simply beautiful to watch. TRUE ARTIST KB24/8
Kobe bryant is best in the nba.
Yep
I'm going to miss this guy when he retires
A lot of these games, the Lakers were losing but Kobe kept on fighting, crazy that he pushed this team to the playoffs, will be missed. Black mamba
Damn i miss kobe
perfectly constructed video I was geekin the whole time its an honor to have witnessed Jordan kobe and lebron in my lifetime
He'll live....we will all be Chucking Crumpled Papers onto the Waste Basket saying Kobe for three!!!
I thought this was just highlights but this felt like a tribute. Great Video
I'll cry when he leaves
He died 😔 😢 😭
This video hits different now😭😭😭
the greatest if he never got injured in his 17th year fuckkkk father time ppl sleep like he wasnt hooping hard 2 n half yrs back
The background music adds the emotions though...😢😢😢
Just another year the NBA robbed him of another MVP.
Chris Taylor He should've at least 4-5 MVP's
he is a artist,genius
cant say more
Kobe is the best and he will be the best player after Micheal Jordan!!
Kobe Bryant the greatest to ever play the game, footwork, rage to win, passes, defense man u name it he do it all
The first beat is crazy nice
do you know the name of it
Kobe Bryant is simply one of the best. Ill never forget kobe and his awesome plays :( I wish I started playing basketball earlier to watch him win those champions :(
The best in the nba
I cried that night Kobe walked off the court. The look he had in his eye was just, different. It was depressing like if he knew his time was almost up. I hope he has one final stride in his career because it would be sad to see a legend, a great, a hero go like this. Please come back stronger Kobe and prove your doubters that you truly are DIFFERENT!
he is shooting when someone's guarding him, not like other shooter who can't do 3s when not free. name them
Why are people complaining that Kobe "copied" Jordan. That's who he looked up to and now he's left his own legacy and people will want to be Kobe… One of the greatest of all time.
I agree
I'm 19 years old and I STILL want to be like Kobe.
Zach Lavine😄
Dame Willia Tatum or Zach Lavine
Great montage. Well done mate.
Kobe goat
Best highlight video ever good job
Kobe best clutch shooter after M.J
Great video! I miss watching Kobe on the court already
Kobe's last great season :(
The only player that always gives me goosebumps watching a game.. Kobe!
best basketball player since mj, better than lebron, best all around fundamentally sound basketball of all time cuz mj never had a better shot then kobe
dammmm!!,am going to miss this guy when he retires and rest of the world as well, laker for life, living legend, black mamba, funk the clipper!!
this video is for all the kobe fan out there
Great Video......not much of a Lakers Fan but a huge Kobe Fan.
Thats What You call putting a team on your fucking back
that season was epic
I still watch these highlights to this day ❤️🩹❤️🩹
Whats the 1st music name? anyone?
T
Amazing video. Ive been a Laker fan my whole life and its easy to get spoiled by 24. Its also incredible to see him preform at this level considering how much basketball he's played and the toll on his body
That dunk on lebrons face and that shot i front do dwayne wade
Kobe marked the NBA and the fans of, He's a legend !
