    Never been in an earthquake, but when I was five years old, a tornado took our house while we were in the basement. The only thing left was the fireplace and part of the bathroom. We were unharmed, just very shaken up. I have the upmost respect for the tornados.

    Daily exercise is key to as healthy life. Ride a bicycle to school, work or for fun.
    Riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling.
    Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Be healthier and happier. Ride a bicycle regularly.
    Make a bicycle your transportation option for short distance travel.

    The only time i felt a quake, I was a small child and had gone to a museum where they displayed a mummy, just as I gather the courage to get close to it, a freaking temblor hit and the mummy moved. Needless to say, I must have crapped in my pants from sheer terror.

    I've experienced a minor earthquake, but I've also been through several tornados, including an EF4 when I was at a Boy Scout campout as a kid - June 1969. My house was hit Christmas day 1982. A smaller one that tore my roof off and blew down my carport. As long as I wasn't in a big city with tall buildings around, I'd take an earthquake any day over a tornado.

    Nice video and ride. Great photo of the waterspout. You could have gotten that picture published. I was in a small earthquake in Yuma once. No tornados even though I am in tornado alley.

    I have a fondness for a disaster movie named "Avalanche". Starred Rock Hudson and Mia Farrow. Terrible movie but it was filmed at a resort where I was working near Durango Colorado. I got the chance to talk to Mia, she was really nice.

    We had an earthquake a few months ago in my state and my apartment was rocking and it was a 4.0 but here is Jersey we are not built for earthquakes so it felt bad, and I wouldn't want to go through a bigger one then that. They felt the earthquake in NY and in PA when it happened and even the Statue of Liberty was rocking.

    I have been in Earthquakes in California, Canes (Hurricanes) in Houston and a EF5 Tornado in Lubbock, Texas. Would prefer an Earthquake and number two would be a Cane. Tornadoes are very scary especially a large EF 4 or 5

    Russ, why didn't Magicycle make this ebike fit the standard front basket like what is on the Ocelot Pro and many other models? That could have been easily manufactured, from watching you on TV the bolts appear to be placed on the side rather than the front. We all know you have a fantastic relationship with Magicycle, if they will let you name a bike color, they may listen to your opinion on this too. One more thing, I like a color display, why stop using the color display in favor of monochrome? One more thing, I think if Magicycle would make the same battery like what is furnished with the Ocelot Pro, that would attract more customers too. Just sayin', just asking. Peace out Russ.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  2 дня назад

      Good questions... but nobody knows why companies do what they do! My guess is that putting a color display on the bike probably costs more... same with the battery from the Ocelot Pro and Deer. Those are 52 volt, 20 ah batteries and the one on the new CT-1 commuter bike is 48 volts, 15 ah and lighter in weight. So to keep the weight down (and the price), they likely decided it was best to change. It's also a lesser motor in that bike compared to the Ocelot Pro and Deer models. Again, cost, weight, and size is a factor. As for the front basket? I have no idea. But there's probably a good reason they had to switch to another mounting point and basket... just don't know why.

      @@RussIsRight Yes, in the city, it just swirls leaves and thrash around, out in a filed, it throws a bunch of dirt and little rocks.

    if you get hit by an earthquake, as you are out riding, are you better on a trike or a bicycle?

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  2 дня назад

      I would rather be on a two wheel bike at that point. A trike would require a level surface to have all three wheels touching the ground and an earthquake is bound to mess up the roads...
