  • I’ve been sketching spaceships recently, focusing on different paint schemes. World War II airplanes and science-fiction ships were my main source for inspiration.
The WWII planes had some really practical and cool paint jobs, which I’m bringing into my spaceship designs. And who doesn’t love the design of science-fiction ships? They’ve definitely influenced my sketches.
So, you’ll see a mix of old-school airplane design, science-fiction creativity, and my own ideas in my work.
    Hope you enjoy it!

Your past three videos are right up my alley. That also goes for the one with the number-wing ships.

You gotta design some macro scaled ships, or sci-fi tanks, look at 40k for example

0:54 I love that emblem, a space hammer and sickle for a space age. Also the paint scheme is excellent, a true classic of stripe pattern with one color and dull hull grey to contrast it. My only quibble is the use of red color with a red emblem: using the same color for both lessens the visual impact of such details. I think the ideal color for any soviet space craft is olive drab, or any green color really, but that's just my own aesthetic preference.

Yeah, I was asking the same question to myself while doing it, and after though I decided to go with red all the way.

"ww2 aircraft and sci-fi ships were the inspiration"
I knew the germans tried out some crazy wonder weapons, but the flying lobster is new to me
But yes, lobsterwing was my favorite too

Idea. How would you imagine the equivalent of a motorcycle in space. Not necessarily an open cockpit, but a ship made with the same purpose as a motorcycle would have

Starcraft 2 Vulture's Umojan skin could serve as an inspiration for this concept!

Hi, i was wondering, what app did you use to draw these spaceships?

I drew these ships with pencils on paper, then scanned them and finally did the coloring in Photoshop.

in alternative to Adobe Photoshop, you could use for free : Gimp, Paint net, Photopea or Darktable.
