The Detail Factory tire brush is by far the best tire brush currently on the market until the next best thing comes along. I've been using mine for about 3 months now and I love it compared to my Tuff shine brush, Mothers curved tire brush, and several other dedicated tire brushes I have. After using the Detail Factory tire brush and then going back to the old Tuff Shine brush, my first thought immediately was "Wow, this old brush is way too stiff", even though I had used it for many years. The bristle density of the new one is way better in my opinion. As far as barrel brushes go, your comparison points were right on point. Far too many of them are too flimsy. Flimsy is fine if the barrel is fairly clean and you keep your wheels is great condition, but if you have any staining or heavy dirt whatsoever, you need a stiffer brush to effectively clean the wheel. You're also on point with the smaller (what I call their "original") Detail Factory brushes. They are great dusting brushes, some of the best, and also great for sensitive surfaces, but when it comes to needing some cleaning power, you definitely need to go with a stiffer bristle brush.

I just got my big soft detail hand held brush from Amazon Canada. I love the big soft Bristles and the storage hanger. I will have to wait for the warmer months to try it . Ottawa Ontario Canada

I’ve been using that tire brush all year. I love it. Easy to scrub, easy to hold, just overall works great. It has made all my other tire brushes obsolete.

Detail factory needs to make boars hair brush in curve ball! That would be nice

Bought 2 of the curve ball one for interior and one for a body scrub works amazing

Regarding the Curveball brush, everyone on Amazon says it works great applying tire shine to your tires. I'll get it for that reason.

If I decide to buy the “curve ball” brush, I will be using it strictly for tire dressing. I think it would be great on off road tires with that aggressive sidewall pattern.

Honestly it's great for low profile and off road tyres. Just so quick and easier. Much better than the junk small AliExpress brushes that carscope sells.

Terrifiic video. Thanks for sharinh your thoughts. I own the curveball; personally I use it for interiors (and pair it with a smaller brush for window buttons, etc. - like in your video). I have not used it for exertior anything, strictly interior. Terrific for leather seats, imo.
    Fantastic video, brother.

Got the tire brush after using the Tuff Shine and its derivatives for years. It is definitely better but the Tuff Shine remains a fantastic brush, as you said, no real need to get the DF brush if you already own the Tuff Shine. But this is detailing :)
For the barrel brush, the EZ still remains my favorite as it is stiff, gentle, and flexible. The DF one requires wider spokes and space in the barrel. It does have that limitation if you have a large caliper which is the case in my primary car. I have resorted to using a flat MF brush which I got from about USD2.00. It is very soft but the alternative is not to clean that spot at all. The DF brush is too expensive for the limitation it has. Surely one of these firms would have solved this large caliper problem.

Thanks for the review and compare! OG uses the curveball for dressing tires. I won't use it for that personally but since you got big tires, that may be a consideration (even though you recently bought a dedicated, though smaller, brush for that purpose from your other video). You got me thinking about the microfibre wheel brush. I have been considering the wheel woolies instead (I have a knock off version of the ez detail and isn't super happy with it for my model Y 20" wheels as it flings a lot and the cleaning power isn't that great), but now I have another candidate to consider. I almost bought the popo microfibre brush at one point too, so thanks for sharing your experience with it (going to skip that one :D).

I find wheel woollies to be very fragile, I had a set and broke the same week.

Isn't it safe to use a boar brush on all interior surfaces? If so, that then leaves the synthetic brush for car emblems or any time you're detailing around a painted surface.

Amazing lineup they need a mini barrel brush though that one is too fat for big brakes

I switched to the Woolly Wormit version 2.0 due to it being available at a lower cost, and to me, it's worlds better than the Detail Fatory barrel brush . It's bendable, gets nicely between brakes and the wheel barrel and is just night and day better than the Detail Factory brush , no contest , plus Black Tie Brands doesn't appreciate it as much as the Detail Factory does theirs cost wise.
