I just hate how slow and out of their element the SWAT AI is. In SWAT4 you could tap on a doorway and the AI would stack up and get through jt in like 3 seconds. You could integrate into the stack aswell. It was faster pace, I think. RON is just slow as hell, the maps are too big for a 5 man team to clear efficiently or timely. The situations are also stupid for swat to be responding to, but I understand for gameplay reasons why most of the missions are like huge cp or terror busts. I normally just grab a rifle, put the AI on “follow me” and then go clear the rooms and have them pick shit up behind me.
Big maps? Yes. But those terror attacks and barricaded suspects are absolutely what SWAT does. I mean the border mission is a little out there but the rest do make sense
The maps are not only too big but to convoluted and maze-y, with the worst map being the postal company. An open maze where You get shot from everywhere and can't move a couple boxes out of the way. And then there's rust belt, where You think ah, it's just a house, a barn and a shed, but no, there's that ants nest of a mine tunnel. You have to double back, change Your angle of attack, all while not being able to sprint. Funnily enough though, I think the college is quite small, only one auditorium, no gym etc.
My problem with the AI is the accuracy while moving, the AI tracking me through walls and the insane reflexes, it doesn't feel like the suspects have a variety in skill, they should go for a difficulty slider or giving us the options to customize missions
it really is insane. They know where I am and shoot me through a wall, then shoot blind for 3 minutes straight never running out of ammo. This is like elementary game dev stuff. should they have infinite ammo? hmm
Playing with AI 6am in the morning solo is fun. I don't have to wait for my friends, I don't have to talk to anyone, and I can chill and drink my coffee.
They can't just make difficulty sliders ? it's like basic function 40+ years old... Give us choose the difficulty in each map, and suspect and hostage count. For me some maps hard, some maps empty and easy. This how everyone will be happy, every gamer have different skill level.
The game's definitely easier, mainly bc of AI accuracy nerf. Now you can sustain some serious gunfire before dropping dead, plus they finally lowered wallbang damage. It also feels like bots are somewhat less aggressive now, not blasting you across the map after detecting a single pixel of your character model.
After spending 3 days trying Greased Palms over and over with no success, I didn't notice there was a patch, so when I went to play with a friend in the evening and we cleared it second try, I didn't know what to think. But I'm really happy with the changes, feels so much fairer now, although a slight tweak to response time would still be nice.
Honestly dude I hated greased palms before that patch I spent 9 days trying it over and over I then gave up for a week got back and did it first try, a+ rank. Doing it first try like that honestly pissed me off in a way. I feel your pain.
Those who care will just have a difficulty mod and move on with life... The rest of us will have a fairer experience. it's not as if this is the end all be all state of the AI; It's GOING to get further tuning.
What VOID needs to implement is a few difficulty options, 5 if you ask me, otherwise the complaining will continue bouncing from "now it's too easy" to "now it's too hard" to infinity.

On the surface it sounds like a good idea; But then it would become a question of what difficulty is appropriate for obtaining the S rank rewards... and maybe that doesn't really matter, considering it's a single player/coop and all; But if so, then I'd imagine people obtaining S rank tats on aimbot AI would be complaining that the "easy" crowd just didn't have to work for it. I'm sure we can all agree that it definitely needed an adjustment; But to what end? Who knows... I'm but a humble player in all this. I'm sure they'll tune things further.

Sharp as a whip those devs were. 0 pettiness. I hope VOID is like that and seriously aren't taking that sort of stuff into consideration.
It really depends on which map I play, imo. Right now, I am doing solo on all maps in order, and I have been stuck on Mindjot for an eternity. I can get close to beating it, but that's it. I like the map, so there's no question of getting bored of it, I just wanna get done with and move on with the next mission.
Have you managed to S rank all the missions yet, and if not do you plan to go back and stream the last few? I just S ranked hospital last night after well over 15 hours of effort over a few days of pain. Love the content.
I think there needs time be separate AI difficulty for single player and multiplayer. The insane AI made sense for commander mode when you’re sending your team first and using all the team mechanics that actually feel badass when implemented properly. It made the team not only useful but necessary. Making the AI easier with incentivize going solo which will just make the team feel “in the way” again.
On ides of march in particular, I had ~30 attempts pre-patch going for s rank solo. After patch, I get it first try. Most times beforehand I am getting instantly wallbanged/popped after peeking a corner, so it feels a lot fairer now
This is actually my favorite way to play Ready or Not. I can up my speed of dynamic movement when its smart to do it a lot faster without the AI team. Running the launcher with stingers, and like 2 flashes & 2 cs grenades, and 1 wedge for sticky situations. With a mask and the nods all the time mod its a lot of fun. 4 rifle mags and 3 pistol mags you're good to go. Tell the compliant suspects that you're not suspicious of to run for exit. Don't waste your time arresting them unless its smart in the given situation. Try it out just use the "multiplayer host" in the main menu.
In a game where you need to hear every foot step - why do you leave the TOC screaming in your ear on every interaction? I just deleted every file in the TOC folder.
I have some other mods for TOC. I think I have at least 3 different voices for TOC active at the same time. Vanilla TOC does some intros to the maps as well as mission success outros, Legacy TOC for mission failure outros, A female TOC that uses real audio from dispatch recordings, and that bodycam beep for ROE violations.
I wouldn't mind TOC if they would stop going on and on. I read the briefing, stop trying to give me the whole situation on the start of the map. It would go a long way if they shortened a lot of the lines in the main chunk of the mission. Instead of "Roger that, trailers are inbound." why not a simple "10-4"? It's a lot less of an earful when I'm trying to listen to the slightest whisper of a noise.
I’ve installed mods that make the game more difficult by making them act more aggressive, can remember your last location and prone to push while you’re injured. On top of that I’ve install mod that double or triple the suspects and civillians making the game hell to control even the ides of march seems like meeting satan himself that make the vanilla game looks too easy lol. My approach is either a shield or a breaching shotgun because of traps literally everywhere with mod and go in solo and silently eliminate all the enemy, no shouting, just shoot. And a bunch of flashs, making the game more realistic and fun.
Don't they already remember your last location in the game? From what I've heard, it's even better than that because they can actively track you no matter where you are for 30 seconds, they just don't often pursue for some reason
Last time I played, I was trying to do all the achievements, and man being able to go lethal looks like easy mode compared to the required nonlethal for S rank 😂
If I wanted Broken op AI I'd play Tarkov, The problem is the Devs not understanding how humans perceive reality not to mention most of the RoN AI prefer unaliving by cop when in reality if you've ever watched bodycam most suspects dont sprint strafe doorways magdumping.

You need to hold your Free Lean button or key bind it as a toggle while holding S to deep crouch, which will make it appear as if you are leaning in a deep side crouch. This allows you to see further over a corner
Hardest hitting guns? You mean there's weapon damage stats independant of the round it fires? Figured it'd be no diffrent from any of the other 5.56x45 guns like SR16 or Mk18
As far as I know yes. You'll notice some rifles have more recoil than others. These rifles typically hit harder, but I could be mistaken. All I know is that running the HK416 was my go-to for a long time because I was almost always two hitting suspects center mass.
It's not easy to bring order to chaos, solo, on safe mode. On, 'Ides of March/Penthouse,' and, 'Greased Palms/IDK,' took a minimum of four hours. The gameplay vids on my channel are the successful runs.

Try "surefire flashlight" on nexus. That's the one he seems to recommend. A.I wise I'm looking at "extreme tactical" for single player, and "roleplay tactical" (both made by figtree) for co-op, as they seem to be the ones that OI uses (or at least close too)... They all got an update so they all should work. I haven't tested either A.I mods yet though, as I was trying out vanilla (which still seem to shoot at me from across the map but can no longer hit me through walls).
am i the only person still having major performance issues on this game? I had an older worse system back in early august which i then sold that played the game perfectly, now ive got a better new system and just stated playing the game again about a week ago (first time playing 1.0 on any system) and the game is a stuttery mess no matter what graphics settings im on, the only way ive been able to play a stable game is to launch it through the game files which isnt that hard but just a bit annoying
Turn off the option ''Per Object Shadows''. I was having a lot of performance issues even with DLSS on, but then I turned off this option and now the game runs smoothly.

I figured out that more areas of the police station will unlock as you progress missions
A.i is much better now, no bs aimbot, the terrioist faction and cult should have the highest morale compared to petty theif
What sucks about the AI team you have is that if you tell it to cover a door it will just say "Covering your movement" and watch you die lol.

Look for the "free lean" action in the settings, gives you a lot of flexibility in positioning
Flawless gameplay alas the editing did hurt the immersion for me. One hint: Play with CS Gas instead of flashes. They much more reliable

Hmmm for me I get put in solo. It shows the bots in the van but they don’t actually spawn when you load into the game.
