- It's no secret that Thursday's attempt at deciding the Top 20 PSVR Games didn't go as planned. So we went back to our original vision and tried again - and here's how it all went down. :D

A top 25 would actually make sense, there are so many games now! Great show guys 🐱🐱
Nice vid. The more I think about it, the harder it gets for me to rank these games. The main problem is that the VR games that I find funnest at first often have lower replayability. Taking the top three, Astrobot definitely was among the best games that I have played the first time I played it, but after about 15 hours I have no interest in going back. Resident evil, too, was amazing the first three play throughs, but after about 25 hours in the game, I probably won't return to it again any time soon. No Man's Sky, on the other hand, is probably less fun minute by minute, but I could see myself playing for hundreds of hours. What I am saying is that I am glad its you guys, not me, who has to make this decision.
I always enjoy the debates :]
For me top 5 are probably:
1. No Man's Sky
2. RE7
3. BL2
4. Skyrim
5. Beat Saber
If I could never buy another game again those would make me happy.

Awesome list! And as an added bonus when it starts people will be like “woah! Is this the bottom 20 list they’ve been talking about?!” And then the actually good games will start rolling in! Very sneaky. I like it 😉
I really enjoyed the beginnings of the last episode and was happy I didn't stick around to the end, but then when I re-watched it I was a little sad and a little angry that there was no voting process.But then you guys pull through and delivery this AWESOME episode! and just like you said it might be a little bit rocky and there will be a little bit of blood but at the end this shite just works that's how gamingwithoutparole operates. love it!

Definitely could have done a top 25. There's just so many good games for psvr now that it's worth expanding the list to recognise those others. Easy for me to say not having to do all the editing lol

Borderlands is full of spongy enemies, I don't see how immortal legacy having spongy enemies is a bad thing... even though the only spongy ones were the bosses.
Just finished Trover, wow what a game that was, especially the last world, so relaxing after all that :D

Resident Evil 7 is the most impressive, intense experience I've ever had in VR on any platform. It's easily my number one VR game, even though I've only had the guts to play through it once in its entirety. Every time I try to replay it, I quit a few hours in, it's just too miserable and intense if you let yourself get totally immersed in its world. And I absolutely love it for that. :)
But I think Astro Bot Rescue is the right call for number one. It's a beautiful, fun game from start to finish that anyone can fall in love with.

I just finished watching this whole thing, & you guys did an awesome job.. It had me intrigued from start to finish, & it’s a great way to do a top games list... 👍🏼
I agree with Davestation VR with Tetris Effect. I can see how AJ disagrees, because the game only is good in VR based on outside-visuals and the soundtrack (it could potentially discredit VR, from someone who hasn't put on a headset) but that game literally feels like I'm on LSD. Only two games made me tear up while playing them, and that's Astro Bot and Tetris Effect. Dead serious.
Just based on AJs love for catch and release, I'm buying it. That sounds like a game you want to share with people who hate video games. BUT!!! 'everybody's golf' literally perfected video game golf... Wii golf doesn't even BEGIN to compare. Putting is so ridiculously accurate (it's all in the hips, it's all in the hips...)
The tracking/gameplay in everybody’s golf is unbelievably good! Put aside my personal connection with fishing, I just think it’s arguably a AAA quality game. Really looking forward to your thoughts :D
Honestly I would rather have each one of you give your own top 20 list. Being that the 3 of you have individual tastes in games it would give the gamecats a choice of who their taste in games matches best. It would also be much easier for you three. Then have a gamecats top 20.

My actual fave VR game is Farpoint. Second is resident evil 7. Astrobot is top 5 also. However I agree with AJ that because of its accessibility of put Astrobot at No1. Personally I'd put Resident evil. ( Or Farpoint ).

Love the list, so many good games I’ve played. And still so many more to try.
Wipeout is number 1 because you can play it with a sreering wheel. I use my g29 with a ps3 to ps4 Brooks converter. Map the buttons and it works perfectly, with and without force feedback that you can enable or disable (under settings> Devices > Controllers > Enable Vibration.) My Ps3 DFGT works too I think any steering wheel with ps3 mode will work with any converter. Give it a try guys especially you AJ. Most immersion ever. I been playing like this since wipeout's launch.

I'm surprised that the 'stand up Vs. Sit down' debate didn't come up more often. Superhot and Beat Saber suffer a bit there... Come on, let's be real friends. Being FORCED to stand is a legit negative. (AJ could've used that for 'catch and release')

ok I re-did your list. Basically I did it based of pooling them into 3 groups. games you all put in the top 20. Games only 2 of you put in the top 20, then games only one of you put in the 20. Basically then they got broken down by ranking in said pool. * ** means all 3 voted it in their top 20 **means two *means one.

Man, I really need to buy Astrobot, out of the top 14 I have all of them except Astro and Resi, but I'm one of the fraidy cats that cannot play horror games at all, I tried the Persistence, got to the end of the first floor and just noped out! lol
The end of deck 1 is absolutely horrifying lol. So good
I remember, I was so terrified that I activated the switch and ran back to hide in the vent which closed behind me, I got stuck and could progress, I was very relieved! lol

About a third of the way through the video and am enjoying hearing you battle for your picks but am still so disappointed sprint vector can’t even get a mention......the fact that it is a fitness game should not take away from how amazing it is.

I’ve never considered Sprint Vector a fitness game (even though it makes me sweat like crazy and sore the next day lol.) Amazing racer no matter how you look at it. 😃
I lost my confidence in Sprint Vector when it lost to Star Trek by 1 in the last vote. I never recovered.....
PSVR Underground it’s a list of the 20 best vr games. i get different strokes for different folks but to not even get mentioned in the top 28 games? It’s sooooo good. Only omission that I’m upset about so good job overall

Bryan, I love you brutha. I beat RE7 on Xbox 360 (flat screen) because I love the franchise. It (almost) went back to it's roots. Close enough isn't 'perfect'. I'd honestly rather play the Resident Evil reboot for GameCube... I'm being honest as fuck, and I feel like a dick for saying it.
Haha don't feel like a dick for being honest Justin! I loved the graphical update of REMake on the Gamecube, but if I'm picking an old school Resident Evil to go back to it's gonna be RE2 on PS1. And even though I still think RE7VR is one of the best things ever - the flat screen version does nothing for me.
I’m sure I’m not the only one but I feel sorry for AJ, he talks soooo much sense and I can relate with him a lot but every time he speaks Dave has an issue with it, and he butts in the conversation and stops AJ. One day this will blow up. Tbf I’d rather have AJ Bryan together without Dave being there because he just seems such a petty littler guys. I complain a lot but I’ve never seen someone like Dave. I don’t normally dislike anyone but hate seeing AJ being down because of Dave

Can somebody explain to me why Astrobot scores higher on everybodys lists than Trover? As far as I can see they're pretty damn similar gameplay wise, and I can't be the only person who enjoys unending fourth wall breaking humour.
Astros platforming is god tier, and the variety is amazing. It’s like comparing Mario 64 to Conquers Bad Fur Day. I loved Conquer, but it was more for the humor than the gameplay.

Boarderlands is in the top 10 for me as well as Everybody’s Golf.
And Farpoint is actually in my top 5. That game blew my mind and has something for everyone. I’ll never forget stepping into that sand storm with the aim controller. Think way back to how you felt when you first played it. I personally haven’t felt that way with many other games ever.
Justin Perrotta of the 3 you mentioned, Farpoint is by far my favorite, and I still think it could be a top 10. Borderlands 2 is a pretty massive game though and it is fun just think it’s Crazy how hard it seems to get the good weapons.

The whole process is a hot mess man, it requires so much comparing apples to oranges that there's no way you're gonna make some sort of objective list, so just enjoy it for what it is and maybe it'll make another list next time :P
That’s the beauty of this process. We’re combining 3 lists so you have to sacrifice games that are lower on your own list to save ones that are higher up. And it really makes you reconsider every single game.
Everybody's Golf was on 2 lists, Catch and Release was on only one, therefore Everybody's Golf should be above Catch and Release. No need to discuss for long unless you like to :)
By that logic Ghost Giant should have made the list too (it was on all three lists) -- but if no one fights for it then it won't make the cut. And that's why we love these discussions so much. :D

I don't HATE 'Moss', it just feels like a cock-tease. It could've been the "Zelda" of PSVR if they followed through like Astro Bot did. Moss felt like a fucking demo... It's just 'good enough'. Naw, fuck that. Astro Bot didn't bitch out, and Moss bitched out.
I cannot understand why the guy on the left keeps going back to "a lot of people like it" as his arguing point for various games. So what!? What does a game's popularity have to do with its quality? A lot of terrible things are hugely popular, and a lot of brilliance withers in obscurity.
I can agree. Saying “a lot of people like it” is not a good argument. What I’m trying to say is that if a game is selling well and Is receiving good reviews from critics AND the community, then it needs to be recognized as such. If I was just going by my own personal favorites my list would be completely different, but I try to represent the silent majority as well. I’ll keep that in mind I appreciate the feedback
Sariento is way better. i Sub to Davestation now, agreed that 5 nights only has the spook startle crutch factor.

We are really spoiled for choice at this point! The only one I completely disagree with is Beat Saber. I know a lot of people will disagree, but to me it's a somewhat fun workout game, a strong 2 and nothing more. It breaks less than Firewall because it has about 1/100th of the ambition or the moving parts. Even Box VR had three different levels, Beat Saber only has one. But apart from that, agree very strongly with this list.

Fishing Is something in USA but people will see the list worldwide and no one cares about fishing for example in my country, i think we all the gamers play VR to be a hero, a spy get to the space Matic worlds etc. But fishing??? C'mon
U guys mentioned it, the list is for the best Games not personal things has u have mentioned the game is important for u because of ur brother and personal experiences, Bad desision AJ.
I didn't pick catch & release because of my brother lol, I explained for like 20 mins it's a quality and complete game and experience. Next time I do plan on picking something else though, there are a lot of other great games that could be there. More "exciting" like you mention.
Hey thaks for The reponse its just my opinion, i think there área Games with a more original concept and variety un gameplay and le el design, i know there Is a boss fish lol but i think Statik, Ghost Giant, Red Matter, Doom, Killing Floor, To The top or even Job Simulator deserve that place, greeting.
