idk why this video was in my feed, never touched wow in like 10 years, but it's really funny watching this as a FFXIV raider, and on the first boss they have you do role specific mechanics that aren't "tank swap" we had 1 healer Esuna (dispel?) in anabaseios on crush helm at phase 2 of the final boss, also so many interrupts, interject is a nice skill in ffxiv but tanks rarely use it and it comes up like once an expansion 💀 same thing with having to stun enemies that's insane to me, everything is either immune to stun or dies before it does anything important. in ffxiv mechs are usually like, 8 player puzzles that everyone does. your role just means you do it slightly differently. absolutely wild culture shock. Great video by the way, clear concise, and someone who's never raided in wow their entire life can easily understand what needs to be done.
Thanks for the comment!! It's weird it was pushed to you when I have never touched FF (it is on my MMO list, tho) The mechanics in WoW are ridiculous. There is so much going on that it is difficult for new players to acclimate. Mythic plus is a prime example as every single trash group has priority interrupts and on higher keys (higher difficulties) they can literally one shot you if it's missed.
