The downside to building your game like a souls game, meaning dodge roll everything and you die in a few hits is it takes away like half the build diversity of games like this by making resistances worthless. If a boss or trash mob can 2 or 3 shot me, resistances arent gonna do anything. We are seeing players at the endgame put as much into surviveability as the game currently offers, meaning the most resistances and health you can possibly achieve, and they are still getting obliterated. It really looks to me like they overtuned alot of the damage and undertuned the resistances. I dont think the idea of being a bit slower, having to be more careful about combat is bad. Theres plenty of arpgs out there already that are just spam abilities and clear hundreds of mobs on the screen. But this current build of the game is not sustainable long term.

POE2 is Perfect!!

I played poe 1 for years. Every league people will say its overtuned and ggg always tune it down. This time will be the same

Yea d4 bosses are trash.. ooo..what a challenge.. once you learn poe2 boss mechanics it's easy, not to mention the game literallyhas a loud ass audio cue for when a possible one shot mechanic is coming up "lookout". If anything they can probably dial boss hp back a little so the fights are not as long. But the difficulty I'd say is perfectly fine. I like that I can't shut my brain off and have to pay attention.

The campaign is easy. I’ve beaten every boss and side boss first or second time. You just need the right build and right equipment. Mid to late End game is hard.

do you expect a boss attack to tickle you? what are people even complaining about

its hard because people want to rush ahead and dont take the time to develop their character before entering harder content. Go back and get some better gear and more levels then progress. Also get good noob. its challenging not too hard.

I fought this boss using click-to-move and I almost beat him but lost like 10 times. I switched to WASD movement, and I beat him in two tries. Movement is key, being able to move easier is key-ier.

No one is complaining about boss fights…On the contrary people have praised the boss fights ..we’re taking about some bonehead decisions, like deleting map and progress on death, along with any loot..Not having any way to grind for power is an idiotic decision I’m sorry…The game is good for sure, but the endgame death punishment is way too harsh…what’s the point of dumbing down the game to appeal to more people when your going to put harsh death penalties and a bunch of one shot mechanics …for that they should have kept the PoE1 itemization and gem system which I think may be superior to this ..

Anyone who has played poe1 for like a hundred hours won't find poe2 too challenging. New players aren't used to the mechanics and especially the using the right gear required to make the game easier. poe1 kicked my ass for like the first two hundred hours before i started understanding the game, poe2 has yet to, the difficulty feels challenging yet fair and rewarding

the game is hard coz every has been zooming around on a op character that is buffed up by items or a pre decided build for over 5 years now and that is boring poe2 is not poe1 don't change it hard makes the game more worth playing early game is meant 2 be hard and then the further you get in the game the stronger you get the game shouldn't be just run and delete everything

tldr: game sucks at letting you fix your character without starting over. noobs mess up their builds, get stuck, and get laughed at by vets who know the meta or copy good builds

If the complaints are about the story being too hard then yea they are wrong. However if you think the game is fine where it is or "not hard enough" as a lot of clowns seem to be commenting.. You clearly are not at the endgame. Do anything past a waystone 5 and you will have a much different opinion. Trash mobs should not be 1 shotting you when you have a high health/shield pool and maxed out resistances.

I like the challenge. It's something new. All other games are so easy and hold your hand. I really hope GGG carefully considers their next steps. In my opinion the difficulty is where it should be. You can grind a little, upgrade some gear. And suddenly its easy again.

make a video after act 1 final boss. i died like 3-5 times entire act and now i cant get past the final boss.

Only thing I dislike is the honor system. Everything else is fine.

Not strange at all why ppl think so when they are so damn fast to use nerf hammer so fast we find a good build I completely agree to that they need to stop that shit and i need to rebuild my build again and the cost is so damn expansive.

First time POE player maybe i chose the best class but necromancer is pretty easy, granted it took me longer to kill these bosses but i feel like they are good they have huge tells to their attacks so its easy to dodge

totally love this opinion and think the game is awesome the way it is. I realised from fighting even small monsters this game makes you and requires focus in order to play.

its Not Hard the Game just needs better Visual indicators and some adjustments in the endgame to prevent the rdm oneshots but all that is more finetuning

i latterly kill those bosses in less then 30 seconds in cruel mode , you just need good gear and build .. the game is not hard at all ... its even kinda easy

There is couple of Bosses with one shot mechanic that you have to cheese your way out of it, such as monkey with pilar in act 3. ( i died like 20 times as a range ). Act bosses was easier for me for some reason.

The only hard parts per say were largely Act 1 boss mist phase is annoying. Act 2 boss Sand Phase. Viper lady with chaos attacking in a line before they move in. Largely where you are limited in space or visibility is annoying. One shots in higher maps through things you cant see or body explosions. (which they seem to pop instantly in certain situations) Some classes might just need a little more tuning and leave the bosses alone. (or they can allow us to acquire more power before these battles by over leveling but gems are kind of locked in progression where you dont level them up.) But generally it is a very high quality early access game. Some things like time slow bubble, revives, mana absorbing bubble on unique monsters is annoying.

People complaining about the difficulty should just play a different game. it'll never be easy enough for them. this is what tiktok and youtube shorts gets you, people lose the ability to learn how to play things, they just get mad and give up

I get it there are players who like the challenge..but it should be a difficulty feature that you can change..imo

Please don't tone the difficulty down... Diablo exists for the easy gear farmville mode, go play that instead. 🖕

I think a POE2 is too hard for people they should probably just go play Diablo IV instead of wanting to ruin this game for the rest of us.

Yea it's hard, but that makes it rewarding. Stop being f***ing bots and get some skills. Stop complaining,, then the human bots are gonna ruin another game....

Game is perfect as is just fix the bugs and glitches people need to stop charging retard prices for sub par gear and items getting tier 4 ascendency is a bit rough solo self found but games fine I hardly touched poe1 and mostly found my own gear most I’ve spent on a item is 6 exlt mostly 1-2 and I’m running tier 8s never really played with anyone playing my own build a game should be challenging not a cake walk casual players the only ones crying real players adapt and over come make ur build better get some items add some levels and beat boss and move in

Never played this type of game or any Souls type games and i don't find this too hard. It's difficult and a challenge (but then again to make it easier) the build has to be good/powerful to make it easier.

Naaah if you know how class build scaling in PoE1 works and itemization this game becomes easy that's why PoE1 is a zoom arpg type of nature meanwhile they want to eliminate that in PoE2 and put a meaning of what boss fight should be like rather than just be able to nuke it. If you are not willing to learn how character build scaling works in PoE1 and 2 then PoE is not for you. I preffer you tried out LE or in child mode difficulty D3/D4

i've found some of the boss fights to be more tedious than difficult.

Those bosses are easy compared to blackjaw which doesn't have that many skills and attack pattern but can one shot you through shield and health via a 3 strike combo that has an after shock that can kill you. He can also stun you if you get hit but its from a 3 to 4 hit combo. He is a side optional boss.
