Spikes and refracting beams will happen twice before the bosses 100 energy attack, Earth Shatterer. You should aim to have all spikes destroyed before that happens, the spike damage on top of Earth Shatterer is a lot for your healer.
Every stomp hits harder. The more stomps the more damage. If multiple are pulled it stacks even faster. It shouldn't be one shotting you unless they are alive for a longer period.
They do have an attack marked by swirlies, but if you're avoiding those its the smash! Blizzard uses unavoidable damage as the true wall for progressing in mythic+. Was thinking about it a little more too, the debuff lasts a while, so if you're tank is quickly pulling the next group before it falls off. It could just be that the stacks are too much. Good luck!
Lol. Yes, verbal cadence is/has been an area of improvement for future videos. It's difficult to pack a video full of information while keeping the duration reasonable.

huh? avoid destroying spikes but the spikes need to be destroyed?
Destroy spikes only on Mythic difficulty.
Normal and Heroic, they don't need to be destroyed.

Yo, is it normal for the rock smasher stomp to just shot me? Even with mage shield on I get oneshotted by that ability in mythic.
